My recent stay in the courtyard room revealed a significant gap in overall experience. Both the facility design and service responsiveness need improvement, as detailed below:
Areas for improvement:
1. The privacy of the courtyard hot tub is severely lacking. The hot tub is outdoors with almost no cover, making it directly visible to passersby. This made it impossible to use comfortably. After reporting this to the room butler, I was offered a 'downgrade' option. Reporting it to the front desk led to no follow-up or resolution, indicating a lack of service closure.
2. The lighting design in the room is flawed. The bathroom light cannot be fully turned off, causing significant light leakage at night and continuously disturbing sleep. For a hotel focused on leisure and relaxation, this basic experiential issue is truly unacceptable.
3. The room layout is impractical. My room was extremely far from the hot spring area, requiring a long walk through public areas. This severely disconnects from the core 'hot spring resort' experience. I suggest the hotel optimizes its room layout or shuttle service.
Relatively satisfactory aspects:
1. The breakfast offerings were commendable. The variety was rich, and the quality consistent. The window seats offered an open view, and the dining atmosphere was pleasant.
2. The check-in process was smooth. A butler had already contacted me before arrival, and upon reaching, I was directly escorted to my room with my luggage delivered simultaneously. The overall handover was efficient, demonstrating appropriate service awareness.
Summary:
The hotel performs adequately in its initial service handover, but there are clear shortcomings in hardware design details and post-service response mechanisms. Especially the privacy issue with the courtyard room – if not improved, I would not recommend it to guests who value privacy. As a resort hotel, I hope more attention will be paid to the completeness of the guest experience.

I usually stay at the Four Seasons in Shenzhen, but occasionally when I'm in Guangzhou, I'll stay at the Guangzhou Four Seasons. It's located inside the Guangzhou International Finance Center (IFC) building, commonly known as the West Tower, as K11 is in the East Tower. The views are absolutely stunning! I also really love the room decor; you can enjoy the panoramic views of Guangzhou while soaking in the bathtub. The service at the Four Seasons is consistently excellent. The front desk staff are incredibly efficient and professional. I especially want to commend the bellhop who guided me – he was very engaging and exuded a real sense of passion, which was great! The room cleaning was also excellent, and they even thoughtfully placed a mouse pad, which was a nice touch. Hotel parking is very convenient, with a direct elevator to the 70th-floor lobby. I also recommend the Italian dessert shop on the first floor; it's very authentic! I look forward to my next stay!

This time the hotel was really crowded, and I appreciated the hotel calling me beforehand to check my arrival time and needs. Since it was so busy, they upgraded us to an Executive Sea View Room, which was a nice touch and showed their thoughtfulness. However, as someone who vacations at the InterContinental Dameisha every year, I was still quite disappointed this time. In the past, the hotel used to give out beach toys and octopus plushies, and there were always friendly, smiling staff everywhere. But this visit was truly disappointing. There were no staff members at the exit from the hotel to the beach, and everyone had to swipe their room cards themselves. With so many people coming and going, it just felt chaotic. The quality of the buffet dinner has also gone down significantly. The previously young, smiling staff now seem older and much more aloof, and the service quality has declined a lot. This hotel used to be the pinnacle of parent-child hotels in Shenzhen, consistently ranked number one. If things continue like this, it will surely be surpassed by the MGM next door. I still hope the current hotel team will put more effort into it and not let a hotel with such a good reputation deteriorate.

Stepping into the lobby, the familiar scent was still there, but visually, it was completely new, modern, and incredibly well-designed. The high-ceilinged atrium, with its arcades and lush greenery, created an 'aerial garden' that perfectly captured the essence of Lingnan without feeling old-fashioned – the aesthetics are truly on point.
This stay, Hotel Manager Alice specially prepared a welcome gift, complete with fresh fruit, desserts, and red wine. Sipping a drink while gazing at the magnificent view outside the window, I really appreciated feeling so valued.
If you've ever been put off by the older Shangri-La hotels in other cities, you should definitely give this one in Nanshan, Shenzhen, a try. It retains Shangri-La's core of excellent service, but the hardware and design are absolutely next level. For business travelers or anyone looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, the experience here is truly flawless.

I truly understood The Ritz-Carlton's 'Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen' golden standard. From the moment I stepped into the lobby until check-out, every detail exuded nobility and warmth. The hotel's ambiance was elegant and tranquil, with luxurious facilities and amenities. The service was unobtrusive and discreet, yet always precisely met my needs, perfectly embodying the motto of 'fulfilling unexpressed wishes of our guests.'
I must particularly commend the Guest Relations team. Throughout my stay, they were professional, attentive, and incredibly responsive, proactively considering my itinerary and preferences. Any issues were promptly and expertly resolved, providing a personalized experience that exceeded expectations with their sincerity and respect. This wasn't just a stay; it was an unforgettable journey where I felt truly cared for. It's truly a benchmark for luxury hotels, deserving of endless return visits and recommendations.

I initially thought the hotel was inside the Spring Bamboo shoot building, but it's actually nestled beside it, like a young lady leaning against it.
The overall South-East Asian style is very comfortable and tasteful, not tacky or ostentatious. The public areas are a bit narrow, giving a feeling of walking through alleyways.
The room doesn't have a sofa, just a round table with two chairs. It misses the experience of being able to lie by the bed and enjoy the night view.
The walk-in closet is tucked away at the very back, and I had to search for it for a while initially.
At night, I could see a concert at the stadium and the night view of Talent Park.
The mini-bar drinks and snacks are replenished daily, which is generous. The selection clearly shows thoughtful curation. For this price point, a complimentary mini-bar like this is the best in Shenzhen (Mandarin Oriental charges, Raffles is slightly weaker).
On the first evening, they brought a bowl of red bean soup, but it wasn't offered on the second night. When I asked the housekeeping staff, I got the standard 'I don't know, I just started recently...' response. However, there were chocolates with the turndown service.
The à la carte breakfast options are quite varied and portions are generous, while the buffet section is smaller. It feels like most hotels that use a non-buffet restaurant for breakfast don't have grand buffet setups, but the food here is refined and worth experiencing. They've opened up two adjacent dining areas, so there's no queuing. For those who prefer quiet, the Western restaurant near the elevator feels like a different world compared to the inner dining area – highly commendable and something hotels with long breakfast queues should learn from.
Later, comparing it to other Shenzhen hotels, I felt I might have been a bit harsh on Andaz's butler service. After all, with the incredibly competitive service in Sanya, it's easy to become accustomed to it elsewhere. While there weren't any particularly unexpected surprises, it still deserves five stars, showing diligent and responsible service.
Currently, if someone asks me to recommend the top hotel in Shenzhen, I would choose Andaz.

Overall, my one-night stay went smoothly, which might be why I didn't encounter any major issues. Similar to the old St. Regis, the butler service here doesn't involve adding them on WeChat or anything like that. However, during checkout, they did press me for a good review (something the old St. Regis never did, perhaps they knew better).
The overall decor, facilities, and dining all feel a step up from the old St. Regis, likely due to it being a new opening. But the predominantly light color scheme lacks the 'old money' vibe of the original.
The room isn't huge, but it's perfectly fine for one person. Being on a high floor, the Ferris wheel view is unobstructed and offers a more expansive vista than the JW Marriott in front. However, it's a bit of a trek to get to the beach, and the area gets a bit quiet at night.
While I can understand the mini-bar being charged at the old St. Regis's price point, it feels a bit much at the new St. Regis's rates. And if they're going to charge, they could at least make the mini-bar look nicer; that can of orange juice in the fridge looked like something I've seen at an Atour hotel.
Breakfast doesn't have an à la carte menu. The food is more refined than the old St. Regis, but for the new St. Regis's price point, it's still a bit... underwhelming. I recall that among hotels in Shenzhen at this price range and above, this new St. Regis might be the only one without an à la carte menu.
The gym feels a bit sparse; they could definitely add more equipment.
The service was generally fine, they could be a bit more confident. However, if I were to give it five stars, I'd feel like I was short-changing other similarly priced hotels in the city, as there are places with much more competitive offerings.
If I had to pick one specific point, it would be during check-in when I overheard the front desk agent next to me telling another guest, who looked like they were on a business trip, 'You can get a late checkout until 5 PM and a one-level room upgrade, but a two-level upgrade would incur a charge.' This reminded me of a similar comment I heard at the Conrad next door: 'We highly value guests like you who pay the full price for your stay' (though in reality, they didn't seem to value it *that* much). It felt a little jarring, making me feel a bit like a chump and a sucker.

The room was incredibly spacious. The hotel even surprised me with a cake for my birthday, which was a lovely touch.
The yellow bathrobe was exceptionally comfortable. I loved it so much that I immediately bought a new one from the butler after checking out!
I was initially told there would be a charge for extra beds, and I requested two. To my pleasant surprise, the hotel waived the extra bed fees when I checked out. It was a wonderful and unexpected gesture.
Big thanks to the butler team — Kathryn, Maddy, Qian, and Echo — as well as the duty manager, Singer, for their excellent service.
The only minor disappointment was that some of the Panorama Suite layouts differed slightly from the pictures on Trip.com, and the specific room type I wanted was fully booked. However, this didn't dampen my overall positive impression of the hotel.
If I have the chance, I would definitely choose Raffles again. I hope to get my preferred Panorama Suite layout next time.
(The evening buffet at the Starlight restaurant was absolutely delicious, especially the all-you-can-eat oysters – six different kinds! So delightful.)

Opened in 2015, Park Hyatt Guangzhou, while not located within Guangzhou's iconic landmarks (the Zhujiang New Town East and West Towers are right next door, offering equally close views of the Canton Tower), still secures its spot among Guangzhou's top luxury hotels thanks to its high-end ambiance, exquisite cuisine, and exceptional service. As the flagship Hyatt property, Park Hyatt Guangzhou's dining options are particularly noteworthy and truly impressive. This visit, I sampled Yue Jing Xuan and Yue Xuan. The former is renowned for its Black Pearl One-Star Cantonese cuisine, while the latter is an authentic Italian restaurant (also serving semi-buffet breakfast and brunch). Dishes like Yue Jing Xuan's flaming salt-baked crab, red crab steamed with Huang Gong chili and Chinese cabbage, crispy chicken with black truffle, baked Dalian five-head abalone with ginger and spring onion, stewed fish maw with fresh lily and rice valley, and sour soup hand-pulled noodles in a clay pot, as well as Yue Xuan's freshly made black truffle pizza, handcrafted preserved plum sparkling water, Tiramisu, various breads, and blueberry milkshake, were all incredibly delicious. Furthermore, as a luxury hotel, the service is impeccable. Whether it's the front office, guest rooms, dining, or kitchen, every department works seamlessly together in perfect coordination to ensure guests feel the warmth of home. Special thanks to F&B Director Nancy, Yue Xuan Manager Andy, Assistant Manager Nancy, Yue Jing Xuan Restaurant Manager Candy, Assistant Manager Noah, Front Office Manager Mark, Assistant Managers Mia and Jamie, Guest Services Zero, Housekeeping Macy, Eric, and the entire management and operations team. Park Hyatt Guangzhou is definitely worth revisiting!

I booked the signature duplex suite at Jumeirah, and it was an amazing experience. While all Jumeirah hotels in Dubai, including the Burj Al Arab, exclusively offer duplex suites, this is the only one in China (Guangzhou) that does. The hardware is, of course, up to luxury hotel standards. However, their service truly stands out – it's absolutely impeccable. My butler, Sophia, provided service that was just right – not overly obsequious, yet never neglectful. During my 4-day stay, every time I returned to the hotel, the lobby concierge would always press the elevator for me, and when I left, they'd open the door without fail. The housekeeping staff's service was equally flawless. It's truly better service than what I've experienced at other equivalent hotels like Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Banyan Tree, and so on. The breakfast leans towards Western cuisine, and I noticed many Arabs and Caucasians dining there.

GGuest UserFirst time in Guangzhou, I compared several hotels and finally chose Sino, which was definitely the right choice. The hotel is located on the 41st floor, offering panoramic views of Canton Tower, Beijing Road, and the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees. The elevators are fast, practically no waiting. The transportation is super convenient, very close to the subway and Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. Right next door to the hotel are Dian Du De and the Museum of the Nanyue King. The hotel's food was okay, but we barely ate there because there's so much good food in Guangzhou! The hotel facilities are very new; the curtains are automatic, and you can see how much longer your laundry needs in the self-service laundry room directly on the TV screen. The service is also excellent; they were very responsive to all our requests. On our last day, they even allowed us a late check-out. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Guangzhou.

GGuest UserThis trip, we stayed at Mehood Lestie Hotel and had an absolutely amazing experience – a well-deserved 5-star review! Staff Member 17 at the front desk provided incredibly thoughtful service; check-in and check-out were seamless and efficient the whole time. When we asked about scenic spot routes and local food around, they answered patiently and even gave us detailed reminders, making us feel a warm sense of familiarity while traveling far from home.
The hotel’s overall environment is wonderfully pleasant. The lobby is elegant and tidy, the corridors are quiet and peaceful, and the rooms have bright, transparent natural lighting with a simple yet cozy layout. As soon as we walked in, we let go of all the tiredness from the trip and felt totally relaxed staying here.
Cleanliness is truly impeccable – it’s the most satisfying part! The rooms are spotless, the bed sheets and duvets are bright white and soft with a lovely texture, and the pillows and mattress are really comfortable too. The bathrooms are scrubbed clean, with no strange smells or standing water; every small detail like the sink and toilet is wiped spotless. The toiletries are individually packaged, so we used them with complete peace of mind.
The facilities are all practical and thoughtful. The high-speed WiFi is super stable, with no buffering at all when streaming videos or checking travel guides. The air conditioner works perfectly for both heating and cooling, and the sound insulation in the rooms is excellent – we slept through the night without any outside disturbance at all. The cost-performance ratio is outstanding; there’s literally nothing to fault about the service, cleanliness, environment or facilities. We’ll definitely choose this hotel again for our next trip, and we’ve already recommended it to our travel companions!

SSwedKiwi85Ibis offers a comfortable and very convenient stay within walking distance of 2 metro stations, Qifeng Park, and many restaurants. While the room could have been cleaned better, the comfort, facilities and service by the friendly receptionists more than made up for it. I particularly appreciated being able to do laundry onsite and getting directions and advice from the staff.

This hotel was quite mediocre, and I stayed there for three days during the New Year's Day holiday. The hygiene was subpar; you could see old, yellowish stains in the corners of the shower. The hand towels were placed on the sink outside the bathroom, and the bath towels were even in the wardrobe near the window, far from the toilet, which was inconvenient. The showerhead couldn't be fixed in place, and the drainage was poor, so water would overflow into the bathroom during showers, leaving the entire toilet area wet. There was no full-length mirror. While the sink had a large mirror, it wasn't good for seeing your full body or even facial details, so those who need to do their makeup should really reconsider. The inner window offered no natural light, and the room lighting was very dim. There were too many switches, and because it was so dark, it took ages to figure out which switch was for what. The air conditioning was very ineffective. Guangzhou had a cold spell during my stay, and even with the AC on all night, it was still chilly. The laundry room was even worse; the dryer simply didn't dry clothes. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive either, and the stir-fried noodles, rice, and vegetables, which should have been hot, were all cold. However, the cleaning staff were all very nice and proactively asked if I needed anything. The front desk staff's attitude was acceptable, and they responded quickly. The price was inflated during the New Year's Day period, but even the regular prices aren't low. Frankly, the facilities don't justify the price.
AAnonymous UserI visited with my two kids for a weekend. The lobby is on the 95th floor, and the service at the front desk and in the corridors was excellent, especially the concierge. My friend arrived earlier and was checking in upstairs. I pulled up to the hotel entrance with my younger child, and a polite young man from the concierge team immediately helped me with my luggage without me even having to get out of the car. My friend's family could then come down and head out for afternoon tea, which was incredibly convenient and efficient.
I heard that the windows with a side view of Canton Tower are quite small, and since we were going to the 107th floor for drinks in the evening, I opted for a room with a large window facing IFC, where we enjoyed the sunset 🌅. Compared to my friend's family of three who stayed in a Rosewood Residence apartment suite, the apartment had a better view and, because the room was larger, offered a panoramic vista. However, apartment guests have breakfast on a different floor than hotel guests, though they can pay extra to eat the hotel breakfast.
Speaking of breakfast, it was exquisite, but I do have to complain about the server that day. After we had already gotten our food, it took quite a while for her to bring us the menu to order dishes like eggs Benedict and waffles. And she served later-arriving guests before us. Since I was alone with two kids, I initially forgot about it, but by the time the menu came, the kids were already full and couldn't eat anything else from it. This was the only disappointing part of our stay.
The breakfast server had a cold demeanor and wasn't very welcoming. I would have given full marks for service otherwise, but she definitely cost a point. Besides noodles and congee, there were also dumplings, which the kids loved. I personally thought their congee and noodles were particularly delicious – perhaps I drank a bit too much the night before 😄.
The swimming pool was not crowded and had three separate areas. The service there was also very enthusiastic, and the children had a wonderful time.
During check-in, the housekeeper on our floor was exceptionally thoughtful. She proactively brought extra towels, bathrobes, slippers, and toothbrushes, whereas at other hotels, you usually have to call to request these. She even asked if I needed anything else – a big thumbs up for her!
Once the kids were asleep in the evening, my girlfriend and her husband and I enjoyed listening to music and having a few drinks and a chat on the 107th floor. This rare opportunity for drinks was precisely why we chose the Rosewood and why it's the perfect choice when traveling with kids 😄.

PPatananikongxianshejianLocated right by Shennan Avenue, the hotel boasts convenient transportation. The rooms are quite spacious, around 40 square meters, and come fully equipped. The shower gel and body lotion smell great, and the water pressure and temperature in the shower are excellent. The room itself was very quiet overall, and despite a construction site nearby, it didn't disturb my rest at all. From the corner, you can even catch a glimpse of the Shennan Avenue view. Breakfast was quite substantial, with a pleasant surprise: after breakfast, there was Dehua ice cream available, which my child absolutely loved. Overall, it was a great experience.

The location is overall great and feels local with good access to metro. The shared laundry machines were appreciated though the dryer is rather weak. Overall, I would stay here again and it was worth the money.

GGuest UserThe room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, with the air conditioning set to a perfect temperature – not too dry at all. Breakfast was also delicious, and the soundproofing in the room was excellent. While breakfast was good, I'd suggest adding some Chaoshan specialty breakfast dim sum or introducing seasonal limited-time dishes to enhance the offerings even further. The executive lounge afternoon tea was nice, but I'd recommend improving the quality of the cakes. For the executive dinner, I think the dishes could be strengthened a bit more; some of the fish was a little too salty. Overall, though, everything was very good. These are just professional suggestions from someone in the hotel industry, and I hope management can see and consider them. Finally, my family and I were all extremely satisfied with our stay. It truly lives up to the Marriott brand – overall, it was very pleasing. Also, my family left a water cup on the sofa by the door, and the staff were incredibly proactive and helpful in finding it and bringing it to our room. Many thanks! We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Zhuhai.
