Great hotel! Literally just beside the train station and tracks. My room faces the train station and tracks. You can see the people and train up close! 😁 So convenient! Malls everywhere with tons of food to eat. Easy to reach all the major attractions. Went to uji, otsu and yamashina. Great walking experience. Recommend to stay in this very comfortable hotel! Room for 2 person is comfy enough. Though cannot open luggages. Ha.

Large hotel located in a very convenient location close to train stations and shopping centres. There are two breakfast options in which you can choose to eat at a diversified buffet or a set menu in an observation deck on the 14th floor. The hotel itself is a bit old but renovated inside. Overall, it's very luxurious for the price but the bedding were not too comfortable. Free shuttle departs every 20 minutes between Kyoto station and the hotel. Super convenient for shopping at the station or transferring large luggages. Water and ice filler locations are available on each floor. The gym cost extra to use. Luggage delivery is possible within the hotel as well (cash only).

The hotel is located at Umekoji park, just 2min walk away from Umekoji station. Just one street away, there are museum, garden, aquarium, Michelin star Ramen shop and many other high local rating (in tabelog) restaurants. The room was compact but clean, practical and comfortable. The breakfast served a small japanese-western style buffet, but it was tasty. Public bath was spacious and the congestion information was accessible from your room, which was very useful. Overall, it was a pleasant hotel for exploring the modern part of Kyoto.

The room is big and it has all the amenities eg. TV, Big bed, jacuzzi, well equipped toilet, etc. All the toiletries are beyond our needs. Movies are free and breakfast are really cheap. The only drawback is the nearest metro station is 1 km away. But the room is value for money. Highly recommended.

The bed was comfortable, and the room provided enough space to relax after a long day. Housekeeping did a good job of keeping everything tidy. Basic amenities were provided, and everything worked well throughout the stay. Overall, the combination of a great location and a comfortable room made this hotel a good choice. It is suitable for both short and long stays, especially for travellers who value convenience and accessibility. I would consider staying here again and would recommend it to others looking for a hotel in a good location with many nearby amenities.

Dari pintu keluar Stesen kereta bawah tanah Shijo terdekat, terdapat lif terus untuk menarik beg pakaian keluar. Pintu masuk hotel sangat cantik, persekitaran sekeliling juga sangat bersih dan selesa, kakitangan perkhidmatan di kaunter dan restoran sangat baik, sopan dan baik! Alat ganti boleh diambil sendiri di lobi.Malah gulungan rod elektrik dan gunting kuku boleh dipinjam dari kaunter dengan melaporkan nombor bilik, yang sangat bertimbang rasa. Saya ingin tinggal di sini lagi lain kali saya datang ke Kyoto.

Don't let the size of the room fool you. Yes, it's tiny by global standards but Hop Inn outdoes itself in the details... it is extremely clean with all the amenities you will need/want for a short or long stay, such as toiletries, free coffee and ice around the clock, breakfast, washer and dryer, and even a public bath. It's also a stone's throw from the subway which is a saving grace for a bicycle-friendly place like Kyoto.

The biggest drawback was the size of the room for the price we paid. We could not even open our suitcases on the floor. There is no water in your room, you have to go downstairs to have a drink of water. Do not have breakfast there, it's too expensive (if you cannot eat everything) . There is a supermarket (LIFE) a few meters away with a very nice bakery. The hotel do however have all the toiletries available next to reception counter. Also coffee in the mornings from 6.30am with water and juice. A sauna and a hot pool, but you have to be in your *************. Not suitable for everyone. I enjoyed our bathroom the most, as the shower was amazing.

This was probably the best hotel I stayed at in Japan. It felt incredibly clean — guests must remove their shoes at the entrance and store them in the shoe cabinets, so everyone walks around in socks. Breakfast was impressive, with a wide selection of Japanese and Western dishes and even matcha latte. The onsen was outstanding: there were at least four pools, so it never felt crowded, plenty of shower cubicles, and a steam room with a TV. After each onsen session we could enjoy free ice cream or ice lollies and a bowl of ramen. The rooms blend modern design with traditional tatami style. The beds were firm and very comfortable, and although our room was on the smaller side (typical for Japan), it had everything we needed. We were also treated to POLA hair and body products in the bathroom and the onsen. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return next time I’m in town.
