Ravana Range was a pretty good stay. My favorite thing was the view. It’s way up on a hill surrounded by majestic mountains in all directions. While it seems far away from the city area, there is a quick short cut to get down to the street with restaurants and shops. The property itself is charming, but could use some updates. The room setup does not make full spatial sense and I saw some mildew and mold in various areas. The property is lovely otherwise. The staff is very kind and attentive. One problem that I noticed (that is not the hotel’s fault) is there was a very strong rotting trash smell that came up to the hotel. While we had this gorgeous view on their decks, I almost always could not stay outside because of the smell. The hotel and other businesses should do their best to remedy this.

Our stay here was absolutely remarkable, and we highly recommend this place to everyone. The staff are some of the kindest, most generous, and genuinely involved people we have ever encountered — their warmth truly made our stay unforgettable.
The surroundings are peaceful, and it’s magical to watch animals right from the pool. The food is extraordinary — both breakfast and dinner were among the most delicious meals we had in Sri Lanka.
The rooms are spacious and offer beautiful views over the fields, where we could see peacocks, buffaloes, and other wildlife. Another highlight is that the hotel provides bicycles for free, making it easy and fun to explore the nearby area.
The pool is large and perfect for relaxing, rounding out a truly special experience.
We will definitely be coming back and can’t recommend this place enough.

朝食時にマネージャーの方に声をかけていただきホテルのホスピタリティーよ素晴らしさが伝わってきました。

Ella’da doğanın tam kalbinde, ağaçların arasında saklı harika bir otelde konakladık. 🌿
Otelin konumu gerçekten eşsiz; ünlü Nine Arch Bridge’e yürüme mesafesinde olması büyük avantaj. Sabah kuş sesleriyle uyanıp, kısa bir yürüyüşle köprüye ulaşmak inanılmaz keyifliydi.
Odalar temiz, ferah ve doğayla iç içe bir atmosfere sahipti. Personel son derece ilgili ve güler yüzlüydü, kendimizi evimizde gibi hissettik. Özellikle manzara… tarif etmek zor, yeşilin her tonunu görüyorsunuz.
Doğayla baş başa kalmak, huzur bulmak ve Ella’nın en güzel noktalarından birine yakın olmak isteyen herkes için kesinlikle tavsiye ederim. 🌄

Хочется поделиться не просто отзывом, а искренней благодарностью за несколько дней абсолютного покоя и удовольствия. Это был не стандартный отдых, а настоящее перезаряжение.
Это вилла в прекраснейшем месте , посреди зеленых холмов , чайных плантаций !
Номера просторные в отеле их только 2 , они с балконами и панорамным видом . Все чистое и опрятное .
Мы путешествовали вчетвером и получалось , что дом только наш ! Это было восхитительно! Нам готовили завтрак ко времени , за 2 дня он был разнообразным. Большие порции , все очень вкусно фрукты , роти, бургеры , несколько вариантов яиц, блинчики и напитки на выбор .
Рядом есть живописнейший Ж/Д мост , ресторан с местной кухней . До центра города 10 минут на тук туке по серпантину .
Отдельная благодарность владельцу отеля и управляющему , всегда были готовы помочь/ рассказать и оказать помощь!
С удовольствием еще вернемся !

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad bij dit hotel. De ligging is top, het ontbijt is goed en de medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk. Enige nadeel is dat het erg gehorig is in het hotel, waardoor je de buren kan horen douchen en je hierdoor vroeg in de ochtend al wakker wordt.

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts a fantastic location on a high hill with breathtaking views, tucked away from noisy roads and streets. The staff are wonderful and attentive, and the rooms are perfectly clean and cozy. The view from the terrace is simply stunning!
A special shout-out to the chef – the food is incredibly delicious! We tried the curry, a fish dish, and Kottu, and everything was so tasty with beautiful, restaurant-quality presentation. They even ask and accommodate your spice preferences. The homemade sauces and mango chutney were the best we've ever had anywhere.
The maître d' is super positive – big thumbs up to them! They're so helpful and really brighten your day with their energy and good mood. Being around people like that truly helps you relax and unwind!
There's a pool, fresh towels, and all the main tourist attractions are nearby (Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arch Bridge, waterfalls). We will definitely be back!

我們訂的行政別墅，樓下一個大床，樓上兩個略小床墊。電動窗簾拉開就是幾乎全景玻璃陽台，可以看到外麪茶山。還能看到三孔橋和路過火車。
mini bar裏面給了幾十包茶包，都是免費，四瓶玻璃瓶水也是免費，酒和飲品收費。
游泳池很好看很出片，像無邊泳池。
一定要選帶晚餐的，晚餐是點菜式五道式，非常可口，也很特別，不含飲料。早餐也有一個很特別的脆皮蛋包，通往餐廳的路上能拍到很美的照片。
唯一就是蚊蟲比較多，整個行程唯一的兩個包就是在這裏晚上睡覺時候被咬的

GGuest UserHeaven on earth! Absolutely spoiled every morning with breakfast on their rooftop overlooking the famous Ella Rock. Possibly the best bedroom view I’ve ever seen. We travelled in April which is notoriously muggy and hot, but the electric fans are very powerful and kept us nice and cool in the evenings, they even have a sleep setting on them!
Couldn’t have asked for much more. 5 min TukTuk to and from town (500sr or £1.50). Or a peaceful 10 minute walk.

TtorinessKeeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.

GGuest UserThe hotel is on the hillside, with a good mountain view, the room bathroom is super large, the only room that is not damp in the 20 days of living in Sri Lanka, if there is air conditioning, it will be perfect.
 It is more than 20 minutes' drive from Ella Town.  Ella is mostly sloped . It is basically a curved path to various hotels and homestays. It is very suitable for  people who want to be quarantined for a few days to live for a few days. I especially want to praise their service team. A few simple warm and friendly local boys, they really want to be good to every guest staying, thank you for the delicious breakfast.

JJumpdaisukeI often asked for sandwiches at 6am, but the front desk didn't inform the kitchen, so I was in a hurry. However, the kitchen staff made them efficiently and prepared a delicious sandwich in 5 minutes. I am grateful. The location is a very narrow and steep slope, so I think it's not good for a big car, but I think that heavy people can't climb it. It's a perfect location because it's a 5-minute walk to the chill restaurant. I definitely recommend getting a room with a view, not the mountain river.

This villa is in a stunning location, surrounded by green hills and tea plantations!
The hotel has only two spacious rooms, both with balconies and panoramic views. Everything is clean and tidy.
There were four of us traveling, and it felt like the house was ours! It was amazing! Breakfast was prepared on time, and it was varied over both days. Large portions, everything was delicious: fruit, roti, burgers, several egg options, pancakes, and drinks to choose from.
Nearby there's a picturesque railway bridge and a restaurant serving local cuisine. The city center is a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride along the serpentine roads.
Special thanks to the hotel owner and manager, who were always ready to help, share information, and offer assistance!
We will be happy to come back again!

The **breakfast was a highlight** – a **delicious, wide spread** that set the perfect tone for our days. The **prime location** was unbeatable – just a **2-minute walk to the main city center**, with easy access to **trending restaurants and vibrant spots**.

JJimmysandwichesWe had a lovely stay at Ella Rawana Den Hotel in Ella. The location is excellent — just a short walk to town, making it very convenient for restaurants, cafes and exploring the area. One of the highlights was the beautiful balcony view overlooking the lush green hills. It was the perfect place to relax in the morning or evening.
The room was big, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
However, it’s important for older guests or anyone with mobility issues to know that the hotel is located up a very steep hill. Cars and tuk-tuks cannot access the property directly, so you need to walk up, which can be challenging — especially with heavy luggage. Because of this, it may not be suitable for elderly or disabled travellers.
One small improvement would be for the hotel to provide a hairdryer in the rooms, as this would be very helpful for female guests.
Overall, a great stay with beautiful views and kind staff — just be prepared for the steep climb!
