"The breakfast was really good. The location of the hotel was great. Right in the center of town. Beautiful town with plenty of restaurants near by. The room itself was tiny. I couldn’t open my suitcase in there. I couldn’t open the bathroom door because it hit the bed and I couldn’t sit on the toilet properly because my legs hit the wall. The shower was just as small. No elevators either so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs."

We saw the Northern Lights on our very first night, which took all the pressure off the rest of our trip – it was absolutely beautiful and magical! If you can only pick one hotel in Kirkenes, this is definitely it. It's the departure point for King Crab fishing tours, and many tourists even take a bus here just to join them.

Chan man wahThe hotel's location is great, and the rooms are generally clean. There's a supermarket right across the street, which is very convenient. However, the bedside lamp in my room was broken. The staff said they needed to wait for a repairman, but the next day they claimed they couldn't find one. They offered to move me to a downgraded standard room, which I, of course, refused. After that, there was no further follow-up. 😡 Also, too many tour groups stay here, so there was no seating available for breakfast, and I had to sit at the bar. 🙄

Stayed here with last min booking. My rooms was too hot that time so I just open the window.
For those whi want to stay here I suggest prepare small cabin lugggage instead of bring all the lugggae to the room if you got the 1st floor room. Because you need to use the stairs
Anyway this hotel has a pretty decoration for the Christmas
They dont provide any amenities. And you need to pay for it. As most of the Northern Europe hotel

舒A local brand hotel chain hotel in the Arctic Circle. Overnight on the way to North Point. The room is small but clean and tidy, the breakfast is rich, the parking lot at the hotel entrance is paid, and the Northern Lights Cathedral is 80 meters away. The overall impression is good

JAZS C P LENI am so glad to stay at Thon Hotel. All the staff are very friendly, breakfast is varied and delicious. The room is clean and tidy. Most importantly, my family saw the Northern Lights right in front of the hotel. Super excited! I will definitely stay at Thon Hotel again in the future.

Great place to stay if you decided to head up to the northern cape. Also it is a 15 mins drive to a view point to see the northern light. Also a 10 mins drive to the town for food.
FYI: road to north cape will be closed if weather condition is bad, so cater more than 1 night here if you really want to go up to the north cape in winter.

Great location to view the northern lights as long as there are clear skies!
Services are not the best as they don’t really have restaurant that you can just step in to eat. A rental car will be great to move from places to places to eat and explore.

Good price value. A quiet hotel close to the center of town. Great breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Only disadvantage was litter at the end of the corridor near the elevators that was not taken away, Maybe because of new years even
