Hotel Dengan breakfast di Troms, Norway

El hotel está bastante alejado del centro de Tromsø. La parada de autobús para ir al aeropuerto está a 10 min. Parece poco pero si está nevando y llevas mucho equipaje hay que ir con tiempo porque las cuestas tienen hielo. Cuando entras, es una maravilla. Han renovado las zonas comunes y es súper bonito. Pero al entrar en nuestra habitación doble.... No estaba renovada. Es la habitación más pequeña en la que hemos estado en 8 días por la zona. La puerta no está en buenas condiciones. El baño parece de ”un hospital”. Para nuestro gusto la cama y las almohadas son incómodas. Las paredes de la habitación tampoco están en buen estado. Cuando fuimos a desayunar parecía otro hotel. La cafetería con vistas panorámica era preciosa. Y el desayuno tipo buffet estaba muy rico. Nos choca bastante la inmensa diferencia que hay entre las zonas comunes y la habitación.

Pros: - Beautiful view - Daybed was as comfortable as the bed - One of the most conveniently located hotels in Tromso - Delicious, well-seasoned breakfast Cons: - Hotel amenities are lacking (toiletries, facial tissues, phone to contact conceirge) - Only one staff member after hours, no form of room service then - Staff aren’t attentive enough. Notably, towels that were removed were not consistently replaced with new ones (One night all were removed, none were replaced. Another night, all were removed and only one was replaced)

Overall, this was a good stay, especially for a long layover, though there are a few areas that could be improved. The bedsheets smelled and felt clean, but there were a few random speckles of black dots on two of the blankets that could be removed. It was a small detail, but noticeable enough to affect the overall impression. Rest of the hotel is clean and well-maintained. The bathroom could also benefit from more hooks or hanging space for towels and clothes. That said, we booked a room for four adults and it was pleasantly spacious. There was sufficient seating, and it comfortably accommodated two large suitcases plus three smaller ones without feeling cramped. The beds were also very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. There was a wide variety of options—from well-prepared hot dishes to marinated herring and smoked salmon. The selection of pastries was excellent, and beverages included Biola yogurt drinks, juices, and chocolate milk. Everything we tried was of high quality. There is also free laundry available on the 6th floor, which is a very useful perk for travelers on long journeys. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Since it's the off-season here inTromsø in the summer, the cost of staying is much lower than in many other parts of Norway. So, considering the price I paid, my experience at the Dock Hotel far exceeded my expectations in every way. The facilities are among the newest, and the design is rich in textures and shows great attention to detail. The bathroom, in particular, is very spacious. Other than that, I would also say the city itself centers around this hotel because it's the first stop of the bus that goes to the airport, and my guided tour also used this hotel as the meeting point. Overall, my stay was pretty much perfect in every aspect.

The location is super convenient, right in front of the cathedral. Many day tours meet up downstairs, which is fantastic! The hotel breakfast was also very satisfying. I was so happy to see the Northern Lights in Tromsø! You can consider a day tour or just walk to the pier. As long as it's a sunny day with a high Aurora Index, you'll be fine!

This is the only one hotel that is serving half board meaning breakfast and dinner is included, plus they throw in a tea break serving a piece of cake and tea/coffee during the afternoon from 3pm - 5pm. Since our arrival was after the dinner time, the hotel reception was so nice to kept us two cold plate - was delicious! As we arrived during the Easter weekend, many shops were closed. Hence it was good that we have dinner included at the hotel. Everywhere is within walking distance. Help yourself Coffee/tea are served all day long at the reception. In the late night, after we returned from aurora chasing around 2am, the doors are locked and manned by security, so it is quite safe. There is a sauna but I didnt have a chance to use it, staff are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the harbor overlooking the Arctic Cathedral and right next to Storgata!!! It is a bit old but remains traditional!! Perhaps some renovation in the rooms would be needed! Breakfast is a classic intercontinental breakfast buffet while the dinner is somewhat poor and basic! The fika is a nice touch!! The staff was pleasant and smiling except for the skinny young man on the day we checked in who was obviously bored and wanted to go to school and did not inform us about anything!! We had to ask him about all the procedures of the meals and the hotel while he did not provide us with any other information either about the hotel's facilities or information about the city! It is worth it just for the location and we would probably prefer it again!! And yes, we saw the northern lights one night from our window across the mountain and above the harbor!!!

I have upgraded to deluxe house from the hotel email due to adding two friends of mine are joining. I have paid so much extra to top up from the hotel. When I checked in, the receptionist said I have to pay extra NOK 200 because I did not inform them that I have 2 extra friends are joining. Firstly, I did call to the hotel to check how much I need to top up due to two friends are joining. Second, the deluxe house is meant to have 4 -5 people to stay in, we have 4 people in total. Third, I booked this hotel on my first night and last night in my Tromso trip. I’m looking forward to stay river view and garden view. But unfortunately the service that I received is extremely disappointed and bad!!

When I arrived, I found the view from my originally booked room was blocked by external pillars, so I discussed it with the hotel and upgraded to a better room. The hotel breakfast is considered rich and delicious for local standards. It's also conveniently located within walking distance to the city center. I would recommend this hotel if I come again or if friends visit.

Front desk service was friendly and upon seeing my membership status, gave us room upgrades. Though the room was clean and modern, the bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. The bathtub has what looks like years of yellow staining, showerhead from the 80s, hairdryer would struggle drying writing on paper. The fact there were no photos anywhere of the bathroom means they know exactly what I'm on about. Would not stay again purely because of it.
