I stayed at the hotel for a few days during my trip to Rovaniemi. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful in particular Riko who assisted with the heating in my room. He had to bring me a portable electric heater because the central heating was not working properly and I really appreciate his assistance. The cleaners were all friendly and helpful and happy to clean the room only when it is convenient for you. I also like the security where after hours you will need your room key to access the hotel. The only small problem is there is no fridge in the room only a cooling box. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Rovaniemi. The location is great and close to shops and restaurants too.

The place is 15min from Levi Center, and the hotel booked a van to take us there when we arrived at Levi bus station. It is a nice and quite place with well equipped igloos. The dinner and breakfast were both good. We also booked the Husky safari from the hotel and it was a very enjoyable experience. The service people in the village were always responsive and helpful. Overall it's a very memorable stay in the village.

We are a family of 5 and booked 2 family rooms in this hotel. The rooms were big, compared to another Rovaniemi hotel that we stayed in and the amenities were wonderful. Free use of Sauna, 24hr gym, just located directed opposite the supermarket and most of all, the hotel has a microwave that you can heat up the food brought from the supermarket! What a deal!. Some areas for improvement, it would good if the Sauna can be 24hrs instead of closing at 10pm. If the hotel can provide utensils like spoon and fork it will be even more awesome. Overall our best stay in Rovaniemi for the price point, I think its a steal. Oh BTW, Burger King and McDonald is just opposite and 24hrs too.

Great experience and very good service. Also priced really well. The location was beautiful and guides very good . We got picked up from our hotel and dropped back again . Over all everything went like clockwork. One recommendation is dress warm we had our own gear but northern lights village provided gear . It does get very cold

This is a very good hotel. Staffs (esp Lassi) are helpful and friendly. The room is squeaky clean. We had a wonderful time staying with Nova Skyland.

Staffs are kind and good at English so I didn't have any difficulty of communication. I recommend to buy a spa included ticket and enjoy the Finnish sauna. For the foods, you have to pay for the dinner buffet but the quality is really good. It was worth every penny. There was nothing inconvenient at all. If I had to pick one, there were no amenities in the bathroom only except soap.

I wrote an email the week before our arrival to ask if an early checking at 2h instead of 4h could be possible as we had to prepare for our wedding. They’ve answered that they will ask the cleaning team to do the room first so we could enter it earlier. When we arrived there was no one available so we had to ring and wait for someone as it’s how this place work. The person who arrived 10 minutes later was really not nice nor polite. We felt like disturbing him when he told us that they never do early checking. When i told him i’ve sent an email about this 2 weeks before he said i was lying. Oh ok!?! As we had 2 hours to wait we’ve decided to use the safe locker room they are providing. There is only 10 lockers there. After 10 minutes of struggles to try to lock a locker with all our luggages inside, we had to go back upstair to ring the rude guy again. We’ve waited 10 minutes again for him. When he arrived he told us that the lockers were broken and unusable. No sign to tell us that or nothing, just figure this out yourself when he knew it was broken! There is only two seats in the entrance and there were already 4 people waiting there with their luggage. I asked him what we were then supposed to do and he told us to just leave all our stuff unattended and unlocked there, with everybody able to go through them. I asked him if he was serious and he told me ”if you don’t trust us you can leave with your luggage!” I told him that i don’t know him and with some reviews already talking about stolen stuff in the hôtel you can understand why! He was very rude so i told him i was going to film him and that’s when he said i could leave our stuff in our room while it was being cleaned. We’ve decided to do this and whild doing it we’ve met the cleaning team. Honestly they should be the ones dealing with guests while the rude guy should be left far from any hospitality job where you interact with humans! They told us nobody told them we’ve asked for early checking otherwise they would have done our room first, especially if we wrote an email way earlier to ask for this. Probably the rude guy who forgot how to do his job again! After all that we only had 30 minutes to wait LOL When entering the room, we’ve realised that the fire place is fake. If you wait for the heat or flames of a real fire place you’la be sadly disapointed. Just a fake very light colored ”flame”. The bathroom is one foot away from the bed and the toilets are in it with the shower and sink. There is just a small wall separating between your pillow and the toilet. Wonder why we don’t see this on their website??? The room is advertised as a room ”with view”. If a view on street work and an old building is ”a view” then this is true. (see my pics for that awesome view) People are smoking and drinking at night on the steps of the outside entrance so it’s always

Checkout is at 11:00. Breakfast not included. The reception reps look tired and overworked. You don’t get much for what you pay for. Will I recommend it? Hell no.

OMG Amazing! Stuff dreams are made of. Positioned overlooking a frozen lake with views to die for. Quiet, luxurious, comfortable, warm - fall asleep surrounded by snow and stars - so so amazing. Staff very friendly

Has a lot of potential but needs a lot of work to be 5 star. Firstly when we arrived the man on reception was really nice but didn't help us with our luggage to the room. The room itself was VERY small: there isn't even a wardrobe or anywhere at all to put any clothes. Meaning you can never feel relaxed in the room and there are just suitcases and clothes everywhere. It was nicely done up. It was also VERY hot in the room and the only way to cool it down enough was by opening the window. This meant we were woken up a lot through the night by various sounds. Including the grounds staff clearing snow very early in the morning. The breakfast was nice most of the time. However often the food out in the buffet was cold and it was a limited choice. I asked for fresh eggs as they were really cold which they made me but it took absolutely ages to get. While we were there the restaurant for lunch was shut (we didn't realise or were told this when we booked it) I am 3 months pregnant and I need to be able to eat food regularly. When I asked about food at lunch I was told there are snacks in the room or we could go into town. The snacks in the room are basically pot noodles or chocolate. To get into town it is 50euros per head per way, so it would've cost us 200euros for a trip to town just to get some food??! The reason we booked the resort was for a relaxing few days in a 5 star hotel experience. I had to kick up a bit of a fuss to be offered room service at lunch time, which was very limited options - I had to have fried chicken and chips every day. They then wanted to charge us 25euro room service fee even though it wasn't our fault the restaurant for lunch was shut?! Dinner was mostly nice, again not a lot of choice and the menu never changed and I wouldn't say it was 5 star food. Service was good at dinner, the staff were really lovely and helpful. The spa is very beautiful which is the main thing that attracted us to the hotel. However you can only go for 2 hours during a 2 night stay. Or you have to pay extra (100euro) Also both pools were cold even though one was supposed to be a thermal suite. We were never offered a drink while we were in the spa. No one offered us treatments or really talked us through the facilities. You couldn't get a drink anywhere during the day, we were told the kitchen was closed so we couldn't even order a coffee?!?! Limited options for activities on the resort without going into town (again 200euro charge extra to get into town) The reindeers were very cute and shout out to the grounds staff who were so friendly and helpful. Overall disappointed and wouldn't go back. Needs a lot of work on service to be good!

This is a tough one. Did we like it? Yes, but wouldn’t come back. Just felt like it was overpriced for what was offered. The hotel it self is fine, but felt like it’s catered more for influencers than regular people. We got assigned a room in the first row, upside is that there are no rooms in front so have some privacy, but downside is that we had a view of the trees and no real “clear” view of the sky. Bathroom as many people say is tiny. Main gripe is that the room temperature can only be changed by communicating through WhatsApp with front desk. They explained to me that reason is because they are a “Green Key” hotel, which I think is a stretch. We just stayed a resort up in Levi that was also a “Green Key” hotel, where it was much colder and we could control the temperature ourselves. Although they respond very quickly via chat, it’s annoying to have ask every time to adjust the temperature. This is the first and maybe only hotel I’ve stayed at where guests aren’t allowed to adjust the temperatures. Based off other reviews, maybe our expectations were to high

Absolutely amazing hotel, everything was highly satisfying and exceptional. The apartment is clean, spacious and modern, features a very well equipped kitchen, a private sauna, a great sized bathroom, a nicely furnished living room with a dining area and a separate bedroom. We liked that here are enough place for your stuff as there are spacious wardrobes in the apartment, so you could feel yourself totally at home, as you don't need to dress up from your luggage. Heat was perfect, we never felt cold. Bed is very comfy and has a great size. The area is quiet, calm and yet centered, easy to reach anything by walk. Last, but not least the staff was very nice and friendly all the time, they helped us whenever we had a question and never had to wait even for a minute at the reception to get someone who could help us. I have stayed at most of the worldwide known hotel chains and this hotel has definitely overperformed many of the big names. Would love to come back and I wish we could stay here for weeks or even for months as well. :)

We’ve just returned from our 2 night trip to Saariselkä. I was nervous before hand, I thought it was going to be hyped up and not be as magical as everyone says. I was definitely wrong! We flew with Jet2, and for once, we weren’t delayed on either flight! The outgoing flight was fantastic - the crew were amazing, so engaging and getting the kids excited, sing alongs, activity books, hands down the best flight I’ve been on for interaction! Santas Lapland reps are everywhere when you get there. It’s as smooth an operation as you could get. You’re allocated a coach which remains the same during your stay so you know where you’re going. They tell you where and when to be everywhere you need to be. I was impressed by how little organising we had to be responsible for - we just had to be on time! The rep in Riekonlinna was fantastic and went to a lot of effort for us to sort out our husky ride out as we had an infant with us who couldn’t go on. She managed to get us 2 slots so we could take it in turns which we were so grateful for! The rangers at the activity centre were fabulous. Amazing with the kids, sing-alongs and unbelievable energy, they genuinely love their job! My 5 year old found the naughty elves hilarious! Nothing was too much for the staff, both santas Lapland staff and hotel and shop staff - everyone we came across was absolutely lovely, including other guests! In terms of the hotel and Saariselkä itself, we couldn’t have asked for more. An abundance of snow, the kids were in their element. Not quite snowball making snow but mountains of the stuff nonetheless! We managed to see the northern lights from the viewing room in the Riekonlinna on our second night which was amazing. The festive meal was all arranged and communicated well, lovely buffet spread to meet everyone’s preferences. The ONLY negative thing I have to comment on was the lack of variety for lunch at the activity centre but I also completely understand how chaotic it would be otherwise! But other than that, I have no negatives whatsoever, it was absolutely fantastic! Shout out to the ranger Nathan who entertained the kids spectacularly and somehow managed to remember our name on arriving at the coach to go home! If you’re questioning whether it’s worth it - it definitely is. It’s by far the most expensive holiday I’ve been on, but everything other than drinks at the hotel and souvenirs is included and it definitely is a once in a lifetime experience!

The rating I have given is purely for the hotel but I will comment on some elements of our experience from the TUI side of our holiday at the end. A few things to bear in mind when reading this: 1. We had researched this hotel before we came so knew what to expect and as a result only booked B&B. This is a 3* hotel remember regardless of what it costs. 2. We travel a lot and stay in a huge variety of places ranging from 3* B&B to 5* Hotels so have balanced expectations. 3. It was -30c when we were in Lapland. 4. We flew on a 6am Gatwick flight in mid December 24. 5. Family of 4 with 6 & 8 year olds. Hotel facilities: Pretty basic, the hotel is split into a number of buildings the food being served in the ‘Main’ reception building other buildings were about 400m from one another you need to be careful walking a scan be slippery. We were in Gielas building it was ok, typical Europe 3* hotel corridors a bit battered carpets stained lifts quite small. Had a few drinks in the bar €4 for a soft drink €9 for a beer. Staff very friendly. Room: Very very basic but clean, beds comfy walls a bit battered. Our room was warm we had a family room with a balcony which was quite cramped for 4 people but we weren’t in it for long. Didn’t use the sauna. The bathroom seemed to have been renovated and was a bit odd with a tin bath not attached to the wall so water fell down the sides onto the wet room style floor when having a shower. This meant the floor was very wet. Towels not changed i our 3 day stay but tissues etc topped up. Clothes drying machine in room worked well. Free safe kettle cups and glasses all cleaned. Food: I was expecting it to be bad and it didn’t disappoint! We only had breakfast and the choice isn’t great, it’s extremely busy and they run out of things fast. The kids enjoyed the chocolate spread though. The most annoying thing was the two stupid little toasters that allow about 100 people toast 4 slices of bread at once. Ridiculous. I have also never had scrambled egg you can cut into slices, read into that what you will! No fresh orange juice the whole time we were there. Staff friendly and did their best but seems to not be enough of them. The ‘Gala’ dinner we had was a bit of a joke food wise very salty, not enough of it and it was cold. TUI: Flight good but 30 mins late lots of people to meet you and show where to go on arrival. Took ages to get the warm weather gear (lots of waiting around on the coaches for the other coach to be ready) was about 3 1/2 hours from landing to getting in our rooms despite only being a 24 minute coach ride from airport to hotels and the luggage coming out quickly. You do end up carrying a lot of stuff. We had 4 suitcases hand luggage and then two huge sacks of warm weather gear. Very difficult to manage with children in -30c. The most annoying thing was the stupid ’welcome meeting’ which they get you all off the coach for basically stick you in a big conference room and sell

Nice place to stay with easy access to amenities and holiday activities. Breakfast spread is good and facilities are well upkeep. Room price is on the expensive side with limited availability. Due to the placement of the rooms, it might be challenging for some people, especially older folks, to move from reception to their rooms to carry their baggage. There are no WiFi, TV, fridge, or desk phone in certain rooms. Most likely a one-time experience to stay and that's about it.

We were lucky enough to win a week in the Holiday Club in a draw from Inghams Holidays! My lady gave way to a silver-tongued salesperson at an event and gave her email address never believing it would ever be her that wins. Then she nearly deleted the notification email as it was probably a scam. And so we were off to lands well north of the Arctic Circle in the middle of January. Neither of us were skiers so we weren’t sure what to expect. And we are both in our mid-70s so we weren’t going to take many risks. It's a three-hour coach trip from Kittila Airport to Saariselka including a 20-minute rest stop. The first stop in Saariselka was to get issued with heavy overalls, snow boots and mittens which are vital for temperatures of around -25c to -30c which was what we experienced. The hotel is in the centre of town and most places are walkable. Temperatures indoors were pleasant, not hot, but to go outside needed around 20 minutes to put on the kit to go outside. While we were there the sun rose about 11 am and set around 2.30 pm but there was another hour or two of reasonable light. The rooms were basic with twin beds easily pushed together and the continental individual duvets. Bathroom was fine. Lighting in the room was OK but could have been brighter. There’s a TV but the only English programmes were subtitled. The rooms aren’t serviced during the stay but we asked the rep and he organised the cleaners to change towels and empty bins mid-week. We had half-board so breakfast and dinner were buffet service and the food was filling and plentiful. My lady is vegetarian and the rep told the kitchen and they provided a fresh-cooked vegetarian dish for every dinner just for her which was easily added to with the salads and vegetables on the buffet. Dinner was usually soup with two main meat or fish courses plus plentiful bread, vegetables and salads. There was usually just one choice of sweet plus endless hot drinks and an adjacent bar. During the week we were there large numbers of French came and went plus some oriental parties. A couple of times we encountered a rather full house but the turnover of tables is quick and the food doesn’t seem to run out. There is a swimming pool which seems to be for play rather than swimming plus a sauna and a spa but we didn’t try them. There’s no gym. Inghams offered excursions such as husky driving, reindeer farm visits, skiddoos plus there is a regular public bus service to the ski lifts. We found it delightful to walk the signed trails in the hills – a walking pole is useful. The silence in the woods is wonderful. Everyone wants to see the Northern Lights but that is entirely by luck. During our week there were plenty of sightings but the quality was not good. Enough to show you have seen them but not enough to be thrilled. Plenty of green but no reds or blues. I never knew that the vague wisps of white cloud can be seen as green by taking a picture! Nous avons passé une semaine sur place pour notre voyage de noces. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été acceuilli avec une grande amabilité et cela a duré tout le séjour! Le personnel est vraiment gentil et attentionné, nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise. Nous avions une chambre avec poêle et sauna. La taille était suffisante et l'espace cosy, nous nous y sentions bien. De plus, l'hôtel a des jeux de société à disposition! Tout cela permet de s'occuper dans la chambre (lieu où l'on passe beaucoup de temps étant donné qu'il fait nuit à 16h et que le froid ne nous aide pas à rester longtemps dehors en hiver) Nous avions pris la demi-pension. Les repas étaient excellents et nous étions surpris en bien tous les jours! Nous avons découverts de nouveaux plats typiques et nous avions la possibilité contre petit frais de changer l'entrée, le plat ou le dessert (seul hic, les desserts, cela ne semble pas être leur fort...) La localisation de l'hôtel est idéale! La plupart des départs en excursions depuis cette région se passe avec une agence située juste en dessous de l'hôtel. Enfin, nous avons passé la nuit dans les fameux igloos de verre. C'était un cadre magique, et la vue sur les aurores boréales en valait la peine! Chambre petite, mais convient pour une nuit d'admiration du ciel. Seul inconvénient, la pollution lumineuse autour dû aux lampadaires. Je recommande cet hôtel ainsi que la demi-pension! En résumé, plats excellents, personnel accueillant et localisation idéale.

總體： 這絕對是在Saariselkä最棒的住宿 地理位置位於幾乎最高點 我們待的第一天晚上就看到了令人難以忘記的極光😭🥺 而且是真的很明顯的那種！！！！ 酒店沒有太多餘的光害 剛剛好可以拍那種人臉也很清晰的極光照片 我們訂的房型是樓中樓小木屋 強烈推薦大家訂這個房型 樓中樓的設計真的很舒服之外 也有多餘的空間可以放行李都不會太擠 大片的落地窗戶可以很輕易看到整個雪景 也有陽台可以走出去 房門口外還有提供塑膠雪板玩 從前台check in開始的每個人都帶著微笑 服務態度超級好！ 住了兩晚之後我們又決定再訂一晚 這次住到了玻璃屋 雖然也很驚艷！ 但我會更推薦小木屋 喔還有！一定要體驗他們的桑拿房 超級大超舒服價格也很合理 交通： 我覺得如果來Saariselkä還是自駕比較舒服些，雖然滑雪場跟整個城鎮跟整個酒店距離位置都不遠，但開車會讓出行方便很多，上去的路上不會很難開，還會看到超棒的景色，總體來說很方便。 早餐：足夠的份量，鮭魚及各種魚類吃到飽，還有美景一起，總體感受很不錯 晚餐：酒店晚上在同個地方有提供晚餐，個人認為很值得一試，除了很有氣氛之外，餐點也非常好吃！推薦在夕陽十分用餐，一切都很美好！

The place is 15min from Levi Center, and the hotel booked a van to take us there when we arrived at Levi bus station. It is a nice and quite place with well equipped igloos. The dinner and breakfast were both good. We also booked the Husky safari from the hotel and it was a very enjoyable experience. The service people in the village were always responsive and helpful. Overall it's a very memorable stay in the village.

Last thing you need when going to breakfast on the first morning is the staff to be greeting you with screaming that you are late for 10am breakfast by 1 minute. The Asian lady then started to shoo other people off their tables after another 5 minutes. Stressful situation to say the least, and a terrible way for hotel guests to have their first experience of their staff. The hotel room was large but very dated. Painted tiles (rather than them being replaced), broken oven that doesn’t work, very old kitchen cupboard units chipped and hanging off hinges, wooden steps into bathrooms to stub your toes every time, chipped wooden stairs that give you splinters in your feet when walking up them. Etc. Would choose somewhere else next time.

We stayed at this hotel on a half board basis which I would not recommend. We travelled as a family of three with a six-year-old. Poor choice for children. Kids buffet was haphazard, not guaranteed every night. Only one main choice for dinner so if you are vegetarian, no option for you. if there was salad there was no soup if there was soup there was no salad! Hardly any bar staff on to get a drink with your meal no one really checking dinner Tickets so you could probably eat dinner there and not pay. Aside from that room was okay. Cleaning service again is haphazard, i had to ask three times to get it cleaned. location is very central, so really handy for zero point and all main central immunities but be warned that comes at a price. It can be quite noisy. Overall I would not stay again.

Beautiful, very modern hotel, we stayed for 4 nights on Full Board for a snowmobile safari tour, booked with Lynne’s World Of Travel. The double room was immaculate with fantastic floor to ceiling picture window, giving incredible views, which we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights from. The room was always a nice warm temperature. Lovely and hot shower with modern contemporary fittings. Food was of an exceptional quality. Staff all very friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful location in Kilpisjärvi, just a short walk from supermarket, bar/cafe. Amazing walks directly from the hotel around the Saana Fell. Would return in a heart beat.

Fabulous four night stay for 5 people in a 2 bedroom luxury chalet apartment. It beautifully appointed and fully equipped with washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, iron, drying cabinet and small sauna plus pullout or put you up bed in the sitting area. Open plan so still plenty of space plus an enclosed winter balcony and far reaching views of the snowy forests. The hotel staff at checkin were super helpful and friendly. Our reservation gave us full access to the hotel facilities, including the main sauna, bar, restaurant and a daily hot & cold buffet breakfast which was well stocked, represented great value and something for everyone. Unlike some of the reviews we did not find it chaotic. However, it was not half term or Santa Season so there were very few children. The booking also included a cabin lift pass which ran until 11pm every day. Perfect for skiers and non skiers as it was quick and easy to get down to the village shops, bars and restaurants which are close to Zero Point lift station, ski hire shop and ski school. There’s a lovely walk behind the hotel through the trees to the cute Laavu cafe but it’s only open Thursday, Fri & Sat although the walk is still worth doing. There’s also a cool bar/cafe in the exhibition centre serving drinks, cakes and food. Great place to warm up after skiing, sledging or walking. The hotel sky bar was the perfect spot for a late night drink and a game of cards as it stayed open until midnight. I would have given the hotel 5 stars, however it did not have a pool or spa which I would expect in a 4* mountain hotel of this calibre. It only had a dry sauna. There were locker cages for ski gear but these were not big enough for 4 or 5 peoples equipment. There were no boot racks and numerous signs saying don’t take winter sports gear to your room. (This may be different in the main hotel) but the only option was to take the boots and put them in the drying cabinet. I also did not like the fact that you needed a key to access the chalet building, every corridor, lift, boot room and the connecting corridor with the hotel where breakfast was served. Very secure but it felt like a fortress!

A great hotel. Food really good. Swimming area really lovely. With a warm pool to thaw out in. Bed comfy pillows a bit lumpy, I took my own. Always do rooms provide a dressing gown Also a dryer to dry off your clothes. Very handy. It looks like a freezer NOTE: take your own warm ski gear. The boiler suits they give you are useless for keeping you warm even with 5 layers of thermals and a thick wool jumper We had ski jackets, but bought more ski pants we were too cold in what they provided. The boots were ok though, with proper ski socks on. Don’t need any fancy clothes. It’s too cold. Thermals and more thermals and a wool jumpers. *

This is a really special place-the cabins are so spacious, nicely set apart from one another for a slightly more private feel compared to other locations. The cabin was squeaky clean, with the inclusion of head torches, robes and slippers etc a really nice touch. The cabins are set up for a slightly longer stay than other resorts in Lapland, with larger living areas, storage (wardrobes) and kitchen. There’s a really handy entranceway where you can leave coats, boots etc and a heated drying rack which we found very useful. The hot tub was optimum temperature, and the staff came and checked we were all settled and knew how to operate all the gadgets and adjust it if needs be. The employees went above and beyond to make our stay special, my husband let them know it was my birthday so we had champagne brought over to our table at dinner, and they went as far as to pack us up a breakfast and leave it in our fridge for us while we were dining as we had told them we would sadly be leaving before the breakfast opened the following morning. The dining experience was fab-the chef came over and introduce himself and each course, which was a really nice touch. The on-site reindeer, ice rink and fire pits make this resort very special, and we had a truly magical stay!

Booked a 7 night trip through Inghams staying half board, 31st Dec - 7th Jan. Stayed as a family of 4 in a standard family room. Requested ground floor room, close to reception prior to arrival which we were allocated - block 9. 30 second walk to main building. Standard family room - great drying cabinet, clothes storage areas, kitchen area with sink & good size fridge. Separate kids bunk bed room divided with sliding door. Very practical, although a little plain looking. Excellent room cleaning & changing of towels - very accommodating if we were in room, came back later. Food - breakfast (7-10am) was perfect, hot buffet, bread station, waffle station, pastries/cakes, vast continental with meats & cheeses plus cereals & porridge. Dinner (5-8pm) again amazing for first 5 nights and then reduced significantly in selection (assume as hotel got quieter after new year), still filling just not inspiring! My kids said the fries were better than McDonalds!! Pools- cooler than would have liked so only visited twice, one pool heated to bath temp if you head up the steps. Kids play area (under pool area) - amazing, kids loved it! Perfect for kids ages 18 months to 16 years. Giant foam pit, ball pit, climbing frame, gaming zones, table tennis, football area and mini play areas with toys. Pool & kids play area included in our stay. Staff - all so friendly & helpful. Arrived 3.5 hours before official check in at 4pm and our room was ready. Location - perfect for skiing at Zero Point, literally a 5 min walk. Also minutes from shops/restaurants and supermarket in Levi. Would happily stay again😊

Along with the hotel Akas, the Yllaskaltio is on the opposite side of the fjell compared with the Saaga. As such, the skiing is more limited (until mid February when the widest reds I have ever seen open), served by drags and tbars (and one chairlift). The pistes will be largely empty. You can access the Saaga side from the top and walking over, or by bus. Ski bus is 5 euro a ride, so include it when purchasing skipass. The hotel is visited by bus in the morning before the Akas hotel, so you will get on it OK. 3km to base station or stay on it to the Saaga side. The hotel is fine, with a small bar and gift shop in the reception area. Meals are taken in the massive dining room upstairs, with views of the resort. Food is the usual buffet, half board and was fine. 10 minutes down the road to the supermarket and some bars. Beer is around 9 euro for 400ml, same across the resort. In Jan/Feb the temperature can be brutal, down to below -30C! The people are fab. Definitely for families and more timid skiers. Wrap up warm!
