The hotel is very central with a lot of cafe nearby. Quite street and friendly host. They’d accommodate to our requests prior to arrival. Beautiful unit with balcony facing the Parisian street.
Just that theres a shortage of drinking water during our stay, and unfortunately only 1 bottle is complimentary to each room.

For the price (well below average for a well located chain hotel in Paris) this is a nice hotel in a perfect location - walking distance to gare du nord and easy to go anywhere in the city, nice stuff in the area as well. Rooms very small as you'd expect in Paris but that was no issue. Unfortunately however, we had problems with hot water throughout our stay - the first night we had to run the shower for over 20 mins and the second night even after 30 mins of running the water we never got more than room temperature. The front desk told us to keep running the water and waiting on the second day but did not offer a room replacement or any other solution, unfortunately. I don't know if this is a recurring issue but it left a bit of a bad taste having to struggle with the shower after days of touring Paris

Overpromoted as a 5-Star Property; Operates Closer to a 3.5-Star Baseline
As someone evaluating hotel standards against hospitality industry benchmarks, my recent stay at Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc highlighted a significant discrepancy between its official rating and actual operational execution. While the hardware and location offer strong fundamentals, systemic operational deficiencies prevent it from delivering a true 5-star experience.
1. Guest Services & Operational Deficiencies
Arrival & Porters: Upon late-night arrival, no luggage assistance or bell service was available. For a property positioned at this tier, standard night-shift staffing should cover arrival logistics seamlessly.
Front Desk Communication & Policy Consistency: Guest account policies were inconsistent. Room charging was permitted at the pool bar on Day 1, but rejected on Day 2 with a requirement for a cash/card deposit—a policy that was never communicated during check-in.
 Preventative Maintenance Failures:
HVAC Systems: The room unit was set to 16°C but struggled to maintain an ambient temperature below approximately 25°C, pointing to poor maintenance or underperforming compressor units.
Access Control: Our keycard reader experienced total power failure due to a dead battery. Despite previously flagging door lock issues to reception, preventative servicing was delayed, leaving us locked out of the room.
Plumbing/Drainage: The bathroom drainage system backed up, resulting in water overflow into the main toilet area—a clear maintenance oversight and hygiene risk.
2. Housekeeping & Hygiene Standards
Housekeeping fell noticeably short of premium hotel benchmarks. Linen replacement protocols were not followed, personal items were left unarranged, and the baseline level of cleanliness across the room was below expectations for a resort in this category.
3. Facilities & Key Highlights
Pool & Landscape: The central swimming pool layout is excellent, exceptionally child-friendly, and stands out as the highlights of the physical property.
Spa Services (Thala Spa): Executed at a very high standard. Therapists displayed strong technical proficiency and professional service delivery.
Location & Atmosphere: Advantageous for guests seeking a quiet, uncrowded, and serene environment. Strong scenic ocean views from high floor units.
4. Guest Demographic & F&B Note
The property’s F&B and service orientation appear heavily tailored toward Korean tour groups, which constitute the majority of the current guest demographic. While not inherently negative, prospective travelers looking for a broader international menu selection or atmosphere should keep this in mind.
Final Verdict:
The physical site and amenities have great potential, but housekeeping consistency, preventative maintenance, and staff communication require immediate attention from management to justify a 5-star rating.

Fisekhane Shopping District zu Fuß erreichbar, ansonsten PKW empfehlenswert. Toller Fernblick!

We stayed at this hotel for one night with my family, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Everything was very clean and well maintained, which immediately made us feel comfortable. After a long flight, Mr. Adil kindly helped us get a comfortable room where we could properly rest.
The service was genuinely warm, the dinner was very good, and Mr. Adil went above and beyond by arranging a late check out, offering us coffee on the house, and even organising a private transfer service to the airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.
