Was recommended to come here by a Japanese local and have no regrets! Firstly, it’s extremely near the train station (Ikebukuro exit C6) which takes you easily to Fukutoshin Line linking to re main parts of Tokyo. There are JR lines too but you’ll have to walk further once you enter the station, but it’s a small matter.

The hotel was recently renovated in 2024 and the amenities are new and clean, and it has ample floor space to open 1 medium and 1 large luggage which I normally don’t get in other Tokyo hotels.

They use Refa shower products, which were amazing. They also have face wash, lotion etc provided at the lobby and free coffee / water with ice as well! Especially great for the hot summer now. The only downside is that the hotel doesn’t have a gym, but it’s a small issue.

Leaving the best part for the last, the rooms have a washing machine! It combines both washing and drying functions which is extremely convenient as I have been sweating a lot in this hot summer.

Highly recommend!

I put 4 for service because they do not offer room clean, only collect rubbish and towel change. And they have washing machines / dryer 2in1 including detergent inside your room.

But that why they have cheaper price

Great location, walkable to Shinjuku shopping, the room is good size and clean.

Check in is also fast and easy.
You get your amenities at the reception level before taking the lift to your room.

Facilities included in the package were good, laundry, microwave, cooking equipments were all included with free coffee and free snacks as well. Had the chance to join Omikoshi event together with other travellers and hotel staff, best experience ever, Hotel staff even brought us lots of free gifts, free foods, free beers, and free tour to the shrine and the famous “Kimi No Nawa” Stairs

I had a pleasant stay at Tokyu Stay Shimbashi. The location is very convenient, with easy access to the train station and convenient connections to other parts of Tokyo. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely maintained. Having a washing machine and microwave in the room was also a great plus, especially for a longer stay.

I also appreciated that the staff were friendly and able to communicate well in English, which made things easy for international guests.

Overall, the hotel was a comfortable and convenient choice for my stay in Tokyo. I would consider staying here again on my next visit.

Location is very convenient, less than 5min from train station. There is a family mart n Lawson nearby too.
Free coffee vending machine at the lobby. Room is slightly small but normal for Tokyo hotels, Not enough space to fully open 2 cabin size luggage. Furnished with microwave oven and washing machine, detergent provided too.

This hotel has fantastic amenities. And complimentary daily drinks and snacks in the lounge next door including delicious Matcha. The location is great as it is eaay to hop on the train to most iconic spots. Its a quiet area but has a family mart and 7 eleven within 2 mins either side.

So remember this is Tokyo and room ate notoriously small. But this room despite not being the exception it does contain a washing machine and dryer and a microwave. Brilliant and saved us a fortune.

The only thing that I did not love was there was no daily housekeeping and we had the same towels for 3 days and the lights and walls were dusty. The bed is very small.

My husband us 6ft 7 and was too big but we made it work.

Overall great hotel in a good location with brilliant extras.
Walkable to Omoto Sando and Meiji Shrine, Harajuku and Shibuya if you want to walk. But train is few minutes.

Great staff and service was excellent. Check-in and out was a breeze. Have always enjoyed Tokyu Stay hotels.

Unfortunately cleanliness could be better. Had bedbugs bites on the last night of our stay. Unsure if the limited housekeeping can be applied to a high traffic area like Tokyo

I highly recommend this hotel. It is located in Shibuya, but in a quiet area away from the busy streets. It’s about a 7-minute walk from Shibuya Station. The room was very clean, although a little small, but that’s totally fine as small rooms are quite standard in Japan.

The front office staff were also excellent — very friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. Their warm and attentive service made the experience even more enjoyable.

The washing machine in the room was extremely helpful, and I didn’t have to bring too many clothes. A coffee machine is also available in the lobby. The hotel lobby is beautiful, clean, and smells wonderful. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Tokyo

We mainly chose this hotel because of how close it was to several metro stations, and honestly, we have absolutely no regrets. Getting around Tokyo was incredibly easy throughout our stay, which was a huge plus.
As for cleanliness, nothing to complain about. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. We also received two complimentary bottles of water every day, which was a nice little touch.
The staff were wonderful, always kind and attentive. It’s also possible to leave your luggage for free before check in and after check out, which is really convenient if you want to enjoy the city until the very last moment.
A special mention for the room we chose because it had a washing machine with everything provided, even laundry detergent. Honestly, it was such a great addition to our trip and made our stay even more comfortable.
The hotel was also very quiet, and we slept really well throughout our stay.
If I had to mention one small downside, it would be the limited space to fully open suitcases in the room, but I feel like that’s quite common in many hotels in Tokyo
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel in Kyoto! Located in a quiet area but still within easy walking distance of Nishiki Market, shopping areas, and many restaurants.

We loved the hotel’s design—modern and comfortable while retaining a distinct Kyoto atmosphere. The complimentary foot bath on the ground floor was a nice touch after a long day of sightseeing. Free drinks, including sake, are available until 9 PM daily, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay and would definitely return.

We love this place and the little perks the hotel offers such as free cafe latte, chocolate and even sake drinks in the afternoon.
The room is very huge and very comfortable with a small separate living area which we can rest.
Love the bathroom area too which is very spacious and has 2 separate sinks and mirrors.

Super duper love this hotel! There’s free flow sake till 9pm daily. We stayed there for 6 nights and enjoyed sake almost every night. We even bought a box of sake when we checked out :) The room was big and comfy. There’s a washing machine inside the room, very convenient. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Kyoto next time 🙂

Really enjoyed our stay here! The location is super convenient, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was definitely a highlight—lots of options and everything tasted great. The room was a bit small, but it was clean and comfortable, so it didn’t bother me much.
