Hotel berhampiran Museo Tecnológico Eduardo Latzina, Buenos Aires

We just spent a week in Buenos Aires and this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was terrific. The room was a bit small but still quite manageable. Bring slippers, as the tile floor in the room gets quite cold. I'd also recommend you bring a few coat hangars with you, the wire type you get from your dry cleaners that you don't mind leaving behind. There isn't a hairdryer in the room but you can get one from the front desk. You can also get an iron and ironing board from housekeeping if you need them. There is no U.S. type electrical outlet in the room but there is one European type. The included breakfast was adequate--pastries, cold cuts, dry cereal, cheese, coffee, tea, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. If you arrive early, the front desk will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. There are plenty of attractions within walking distance of the hotel, as well as excellent restaurants. Just a block away is a small, family-run place called Viejo Alsina that features excellent food at a very inexpensive price. The famous San Telmo Market is an easy half-,mile walk. For some reason Uber cannot pick you up or drop you off near the hotel. It's about a quarter-mile to the nearest pickup point. However, the car service (Talixo) we booked to and from the airport was allowed to pull up at the lobby door. That was $74 round trip. All in all, this hotel was perfect and the price was a bargain ($321 for the week). That may have been the winter rate, but winter is the best time to visit BA.

This hotel is old and worn down. It’s worth nothing I booked a small budget twin room, the larger rooms could be nicer? The hotel was noisy, the paint was peeling, the room was very small, but the price was right. I arrived around 11am and was looking for a place to crash for a little bit for a 12 hour layover that would let me explore the city. The front desk checked me in right away with no questions asked which was great. However the front desk was staffed by someone who didn’t speak great English, so certainly not really a bilingual hotel and not sure I could have gotten a lot of help had I needed it. The hotel was cheap at 48 usd so it served what I wanted. I would definitely think of this hotel more as a 2 star motel than a 3 star hotel. Had more hostel like vibes than a hotel. Fine for a long layover like I had but I wouldn’t stay for an extended vacation unless you get a good deal and you’re on a tight budget. Location is great, close to tourist attractions and walking distance. You have to walk a bit to get to the famous pink building in the current TA cover photo so that is a bit misleading. Easy to flag a taxi outside the hotel which was a plus.

How a hostel should be run. One of the best I've ever stayed in, in 20 years of travelling. Curtains, charger, light and a lock box for every bed. Large lockers in the room. Rooms are super spacious. They have individual safety boxes with a password in the reception area and a camera watching them so you can leave valuables. Fastidiously clean. Cleaned multiple times a day. All sheets, curtains are super clean. Many large, private bathrooms around the hostel with free soap, shampoo, conditioner. Activities almost everyday ranging from empanada and mate making to tango lessons. A wide range of common areas: 2 large, clean well stocked kitchens, a quiet room, a work room, a garden. Free water dispensers. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff 24/7. Safe because you need to buzz in every time. Someone is there 24/7. Right next to Florida Calle for money changing. Closest subway is 2 minutes away. Lots of shops, restaurants super close by. Including a really great, affordable, vegetarian self service place and a really nice restaurant with great meat where you get a discount for being a hostel customer. I stayed there initially and went back after a trip to Patagonia. They let me leave my luggage while I was in Patagonia. Sorry for the long review but having travelled a lot and stayed in many hostels, I was really impressed with how this hostel was run. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. Fui para o Hotel Parada extremamente preocupada em virtude das avaliações negativas, mas arrisquei pelo preço baixo e pela localização. Vi avaliações que relataram questões com limpezas e precariedade no serviço de quarto, consequentemente, já viajei com lençóis e toalhas na mala. No entanto, fiquei seis dias no Hotel e, honestamente, não vi nada das falhas apontadas pelos demais hóspedes, talvez o Hotel tenha tentado melhorar. Quartos confortáveis, limpos, não houve barulho noturno, tampouco sol entrando nos quartos. Atendentes prestativos que indicaram que poderíamos pedir toalhas novas sempre que quiséssemos. Os banheiros não possuem box, mas quem já viajou para outros países sabe bem que a questão do box é mais uma tradição brasileira, e não foi um fato que fez com que o banheiro fosse desconfortável. A localização é ótima, com duas agências da Western Union próximas, muitas padarias para tomar café. Me senti na obrigação de fazer esta avaliação pois, dentre tantas avaliações negativas, os dois quartos ocupados por mim, meu companheiro, e nossas mães, não corresponderam às críticas tecidas nas avaliações.

First I'd like to say that the young man who assisted me when I arrived late at night at Up Tribeca was entirely professional and courteous with me, even though I checked out almost immediately after checking in. So: I initially booked three nights at Up Tribeca because the reviews for the hotel were all positive; however, the hotel ”ambience” is entirely artificial and - to put bluntly - weird. All the rooms are centered around an open-air courtyard (btw, that courtyard is the only fresh air in the hotel), and because I checked-in late at night, I had a very hard time trying to find my room number while walking the hallway along the courtyard, as it was lit by a few neon lights that (I guess) gave off a cool vibe, but no actual light. Because it was so dark, I mistook the wrong room for mine and kept trying to open the door with my card, until I noticed (again, hard to see with no light!) the ”do not disturb” sign on the door handle (sorry to whomever might have woken up to me trying to open their door.) I then continued down the dark hallway to my correct room, and when I opened the door, I was greeted to a completely windowless box of a room that reeked of synthetic air-freshener, making it smell like I just walked into a Zara Home Furnishing store. The smell was suffocating, and of course there was no way to open a window to get rid of it because no window existed. If you've ever watched the Apple Tv show ”Severance,” then you'll get the kind of atmosphere this room had: it felt completely claustrophobic and dystopic. I didn't spend more than thirty seconds in that room before I grabbed my suitcase and went down to the front desk, requesting a different room that had a window, only to be informed none of the rooms have windows. At that point, I asked him to call me a taxi, and I left for another hotel. To sum up: if you don't care that you're staying in a windowless box that smells like a home furnishing store in the local mall, you'll be fine at Up Tribeca. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend you book elsewhere.

My wife and I had a wonderful 6 night stay in this hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance to quite a few bars, restaurants, and shops. A bit further away from some of the scenic areas of the city, however the public transport and taxis are very good value for money. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. It made our stay in Buenos Aires extra special.

Clean and well presented hotel in a great location on Av Corrientes. The street comes alive at night with buskers, dancers & small market stalls. The hotel is safe & staff were very helpful. Only (minor) negative was that yhe rooms don’t have kettles so you need to walk down to level 1 to get hot water (bit odd). But it’s a good hotel and worth a visit.

Great hotel in great location 2 blocks from the Obelisk. Central to everything with lots of tourist shops nearby. Restaurants all within very short walking distance. Could change up the variety of food selection available at their daily breakfast. Does not have a business centre as advertised as it was taken away during the pandemic and never replaced. Front desk allowed me to use one of their desktop computers to check in my flight and print boarding passes. I would definitely recommend staying at the NH Tango.

The hotel is well located, which makes it easy to get around various tourist places, such as Recoleta and Casa Rosada, in addition to having good infrastructure around, with restaurants, bars, etc. The hotel itself is quite old, with rooms dating back a few decades, but overall, for the price paid, it is a good hotel. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the cleanliness of the hotel is another good point.
