For the most part, our stay here was fine. However, it wasn't until we checked in that we learned that breakfast wasn't going to be the hot breakfast that we expect from Hampton Inn, but for the weekend, it was a cold ”grab and go breakfast”. It wasn't quite as bad as the COVID breakfasts that we experienced in the past, but had I known, I would have booked elsewhere. I understand that it's difficult to find staff these days, but a warning before booking would have been nice. Plus, they started shutting it down at 9:30. That's way too early for a weekend. That isn't a staffing issue. As for the room, it would have been great if the bed sheets weren't stained. That, combined with the fact that many hotels, including this one, don't bother ironing their sheets now days, I had to wonder if the sheets were even changed after the last guest. I just started using Hampton Inn again after a bad experience years back. I was pleasantly surprised and have been booking with them more often. However, experiences like this, make me wonder if they really value my business.
