SSimonGreat hotel, very nice pool, staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was brilliant and very reasonable, we ate there two out of four nights. Lots on the menu, even whole monkfish tail. Massive steaks too. Breakfast was so-so but standard pricing.
The location is great if you’re mobile but the bus stop is just across the road so you can get into town easily either way (about a 20 minute walk, less than ten minutes on the bus).
If you’re looking to visit the beaches, be prepared for a journey as they are very far away and hard to navigate via public transport. Taxis are expensive. The hotel staff printed the timetables off for us because they wouldn’t show on Google Map. Highly recommended though. We went snorkelling and sea kayaking and saw octopus and explored caves.
Only negative to say about the hotel is that they charge for the hot tub and it’s €7 per person. Felt like it should be included but maybe you get a specific amount of slots based on your length of stay? Didn’t seem like anyone was booking it and I imagine it’s because most people feel it should be included.

The Best Western Premier in Girona is a lovely hotel. Desk staff were friendly and helpful, our room was spacious, clean with all the usual amenities. The communal areas were all spotless. We were bed and breakfast - the breakfast was extremely varied, so there is something for everyone. We did eat in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was lovely and the service brilliant. Location though is a bit of an issue if you don't have a car. It is a 31 minute walk to the main part of Girona - some days we did it twice!. I am sure that we could have utilised a local bus service to travel back and forth, and it would have been useful for the hotel to give us details. However it is a 15-20 minute walk to the train and bus station if you want to explore further than Girona - we went to Barcelona, Costa Brava and Figueres by either bus or train. Girona is a lovely interesting town, which I would love to re-visit, however I would like to stay closer to the old town - if Best Western could just move this hotel slightly closer, it would be perfect. 5 star rating for the quality of the hotel though!

PPengguna TetamuCannot praise enough the super helpful reception staff. Our luggage was lost for 3 days (thanks Lufthansa. Please get some training from the hotel team on customer service!). The Carlemany reception gave us essential toiletries, as we arrived with nothing. They spoke to the courier company on the luggage delivery, and when they finally turned up, they called us to say the bags had arrived. The hotel itself is in a very central location, with good sized rooms. Thanks again the reception team!

PPengguna TetamuEveryone was super nice at the hotel. The breakfast was very good, but they should change a bit since it gets boring to eat the same thing every day. Don't eat at the terrace it's super expensive and the food is not good at all. The hotel is located in a very nice area, but the hotel rooms are a bit expensive for what it is.

Good experience overall. Room size is perfect for a solo traveler, bed was very comfy, staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect! A bit overpriced in my opinion, but I also booked last minute. Breakfast was also a bit overpriced for what it is, but it was at a local cafe which was a neat experience! Overall a pretty average hotel but a positive experience.

Budget hotel is no excuse for terrible customer service. I arrived very late 1:30am, the hotel was advised in advance of our arrival time. The car park was full. Reception closed so I needed to use their checkin machine. I discovered they had cancelled our booking and took payment. We could not get in. After attempting to rebook with no luck, I used the telephone to call. 30 minutes later we still could not get in. We was instructed to drive to their sister hotel to check in from their (they refused our entry if we didn't) After arriving at the sister hotel I asked if we could stay there instead. The gentlemen on reception refused to allow us to stay there, stating we was only alloed to stay in our original hotel!!. We had children and pets with us. Eventually we got into our rooms and settled 1 1/2 hours later!!!! I am never going to book with this hotel group again.

PPengguna TetamuDo read your email from the hotel explaining about arriving purists receptionists limited times! Otherwise you’ll Not be able to access the hotel when you get there. Once in, it’s lovely. Small but perfectly formed. Friendly staff, really good domestic services- they work hard and it’s spotlessly clean. Very comfy beds and pillows, lovely fluffy towels. Handy features like hot drinks, water, access to a microwave, and free lockers to store your luggage are great. Some traffic noise at times. Easy 10 minute walk from the old Town, and a bit less from The station.

MMathieuHôtel très bien situer proche centre historique .Pas de parking à proximité parking payant en souterrain très chère 22eu la nuit !! De plus pas de piscine comme mentionné sur le descriptif publicité mensongère du site qui n’est pas à jour !!! elle n’est plus en fonction depuis presque 2 ans au dire du personnel de l hôtel très déçu sur ce point !!!

This Hotel is a great place to stay for a stopover. We stayed on route to Spain and it is right by the motorway. Breakfast is continental with a good range . It is right by a shopping centre, which our room faced, but as long as your happy to keep the window closed and use the aircon it wasn't noisy. Staff were really pleasant and nothing seemed to be a problem for them
