Hotel 3 Bintang di Eden

I’m writing this after the 2nd time my family and I have stayed here in the last year. The rooms are older-style, but considering they have the cheapest accommodation prices - not only in Eden, but probably the whole Sapphire Coast - they are great for what you pay. They are clean and comfortable and our kids loved the playground and the pool. The staff are the real stars. They bent over backwards to try to make our stay comfortable and positive both times - especially considering our first stay was during the middle of the pandemic and we were there for a few weeks (while we looked for a rental as we had just moved into the area). They are extremely respectful and accommodating, allowing us to have a late checkout both times due to a few issues we were having. They are also extremely kid friendly (unlike another close by motel, who made us feel unwelcome the whole time we were there because we had kids). I have read a few negative reviews here about the Nimo hotel and honestly, I think those people are too entitled, expecting gold for pennies. It is what it is - a comfortable, clean place to stay if you’re on a budget and want to be treated like you’re actually welcome, even though you have a few kids. We will recommend to anyone who’s staying in Eden.

We really only needed a comfy bed, kettle & microwave for our overnight stay but so much more was in our cosy Honeysuckle Studio. The fridge’s freezer actually kept our ice cream & ice packs frozen,🥶 pretty much a first for us. ✅ Most don’t .🥵 The bed was SUPERB & accommodated my tall husband, which again is not always the case in so many Motels 🏨 Lovely hot shower with great water pressure, separate toilet always a bonus haha 😆 Generous amounts of tea, coffee biscuits & milk. Our greeting on arrival was warm, friendly & jovial, not sure of her name, had lovel reddish blonde hair. On leaving Julie dived out of the door & asked if we’d had a pleasant night & we had some friendly light hearted banter. You are GORGEOUS LADIES !!!!! Eden is a very large jewel 💎 on the sapphire coast, & Eden Gateway Park is a gem amongst accommodation A few minutes stroll for supplies, peaceful without any Highway noise. Just the beautiful tilling of the Bellbirds 🔔 . We didn’t see the kangaroos 🦘 but there’s apparently plenty in this spacious & appealing park.💯/💯 Oh almost forgot. The room and bathroom is exceptionally clean and comfortable. But unfortunately the motel made a mistake by providing me a room for 1 person instead of (I booked) for 3 person. The office has been closed (6pm) when I arrived so I have no choice and some of us has to sleep on the floor. Management has apologised for the mistakes and promised to give me some refund. I am still waiting for the follow up.

We went over Easter. On the whole (despite the weather) it was OK. Unfortunately this caravan park has large sites with you having to park your car in front of your caravan, this means that the other campers are very close to you and as a consequence you can hear everything they say or when their children get up at 6.00am in the morning. It is a lot better to have your car parked on the side as this at least provides a bit of a buffer to the noise. The amenities were generally clean however I don't think they were cleaned on Easter Monday. They were in a bit of a state and ran out of toilet paper in some of the toilets, which was surprising as a lot of people left on Sunday as the weather was quite bad. The bins weren't emptied over the weekend and they were overflowing. It has a pool but it is not heated which was also disappointing.

Very clean and well kept campsite. We stayed in a studio cabin as we were only staying overnight on our way from Sydney to Melbourne. The location is beautiful, it has a beach on one side and a river on the other. The studio cabin is well used but spotless with comfortable beds and good pillows. The campsite is a few minutes from the town of Eden on the Princes Highway. We had a peaceful sleep hearing the sound of the waves on the beach. Some road noise from the occasional truck passing. The staff were pleasant and friendly, the camp kitchen looked well equipped ( we had no need to use it). An added bonus was a pod coffee machine in the cabin, so remember to bring your own pods! The campsite appears to be popular with fisherfolk, and there is plenty of room to park boats.

I have read some of the reviews above (post stay), there is an element of truth to them. The rooms are small and they could benefit from some attention. For us we just needed a place to sleep and shower, and it served this purpose well. The room was quiet, dry and clean. The staff were very accomodating when we wanted to stay an extra day. The price was competitive compared with others in the area. Please note our TV was new and large.

Fabulous stay - great location, host amazing gave us lots of local recommendations all spot on. We had a request - actioned immediately by the host/manager. Spacious clean room - enjoyed our stay and will be back. The view is amazing - short walk to everything. Great vibe awesome manager!
