"Super easy check in with a very helpful chap who I presume was the owner, ate at the cafe, extremely good value for money, we even had a 15% discount card for the cafe bill which was a welcome added bonus, all round it was a superb place to stay, cannot fault anything at all! Highly recommended."

"While this is the off season I expected at least decent wifi and the basic amenities. I got neither. Our room had a wifi connection but no internet. No mini fridge and only one small paper cup for coffee making. No microwave. I think these are very basic amenities that should always present. Very disappointing. Would not stay again. "

"Some good things—-the hotel is centrally located so that if you like to walk to nearby restaurants and shopping. It’s right off the Main Street, so not too noisy. There is a a walkway along river, right across the street, that’s sweet to stroll along. The room initially are nice. Comfortable beds, with new bathrooms. The shower/toilet room is beautiful but the shower doesn’t drain well, so the bathroom stays pretty damp after a shower. The worse part is the fact that I could almost hear exactly what the occupants upstairs in their room were saying to each other, and they weren’t talking loud. At all. We were in room 115, so if you are sensitive to noise, get a room upstairs. When we arrived too, there was a lot of noise from construction, right in front of the rooms. also, when we in to check in, there was a door to the back room was not all the way closed. A very loud barking ensued, which I find unnerving, and scary."

The shower water pressure is strong. Breakfast is not included. There are complimentary drinks, a gym, and a kitchen. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mount Rushmore."
