"A good hotel, good location, the air conditioning did not heat unfortunately and it was cold, but the weather did not help either, the balcony is very small, we were worried that there would be problems with hot water, since the website states that hot water is not 24 hours, however, there was always water and the shower was comfortable and good."

"Superb location and beautiful view from the rooftop bar and restaurant. We stayed over New Year's Eve, and there was a DJ set and a big concert for two nights, which made it very loud in the room. However, that's not something the hotel could do anything about, so at least it was fun to celebrate the New Year. The room was okay, but housekeeping services were rather slow. Overall I can recommend this hotel, watching sunsets at the bar was the highlight of our trip in Faro."

"Highly recommend! Rooms are small but tidy and clean. Beds are very comfortable. The place has a kitchen and everything you need there. Lovely rooftop too. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Shared so many recommendations and spent time to greet us and explain everything. Miquel’s service was amazing. We were late with check out due to delay of our surfing class and the whole team allowed us to check out later. Thank you for your hospitality!"

"Very traditional hotel, nice atmosphere. The restaurant was nice. The reception is a bit small and hot, we were sorry for the staff who worked in that hot area. The rooms were quite large and nicely furnished but in one room which we asked for the extra bed, in that bed my son was attacked by bedbugs. That’s only thing that were disappointed"

"I loved my stay at Oakmoon House! The location is ideal for walking to restaurants, the historic center and other points of interest. My room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows, large fluffy towels and the shutters made the room nice and dark for sleeping. The common areas were lovely, with a large dining table, a living room with comfortable couches and a nice patio area. The very modern kitchen is available for the guests to use. It is huge with everything you would need if you wanted to cook for yourself or just wanted to chill a bottle of wine in the refrigerator during your stay. While breakfast is not provided, coffee and tea is available. And, there were nice touches like motion detector lights in the stairway and halls, a keypad entry for the main door, plenty of outlets in the room, and information brochures and a restaurant guide. Sara was very helpful when I arrived recommending some nearby restaurants and offering some information about the area. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into this place to make it comfortable for the guests. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Faro and can highly recommend it!"

"When arrived was greeted by Helia who very pleasantly showed myself & daughter to our room. Was very clean, towels provided & bed made. Kitchen tidy. When was there people made effort in keeping it clean for everyone. Washroom was fine no issues as wanted shower straight away when arrived. Used Uber to get to beach isn't much cost but if you fancy a walk instead is easy to get to. Overall very impressed for the price, if go back will very much likely look to stay here again."

"Location of hotel excellent. Had a marina view which was superb. Strange location of, and small reception area so time consuming checking in and trying to get info from desk as always a queue and only one staff working. Two very small elevators are the main source of access to higher floors. The bar was very well served and cheap for a hotel. Breakfasts excellent due to choice available. However too many people drink coffee so if you want tea you will be waiting amongst the scrum of coffee slurpers for quite a while. They need more coffee machines spread around the breakfast area to eliminate this. The pool in the spa is excellent but water cold. Good sauna also located there. The rooftop pool can be windy and surrounded by smokers! Not too good for a non smoker. They possibly need to allocate an area for this act although people would have to leave their loungers which is hard I suppose. Faro is an excellent location and easy to get around from this hotel"

"Beautiful hotel in an excellent location on the waterfront, within easy walking distance of many local shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants, historical sites like the old town, and the local bus station which is handy for a bus to the airport. The hotel is very clean and well-presented, and has a very nice restaurant and rooftop bar. The rooms are large with a luxurious feel, however a gap under the door let in a significant amount of light and noise from the corridor, although the corridor and other areas of the hotel were generally very quiet. The hotel restaurant is good, however doesn't really have much for vegetarians, and nothing for vegans, and is generally limited in choice, which is disappointing as the dining room is very nice, and the staff are excellent. The restaurant is also more expensive than many of the surrounding restaurants which offer broader menus and more choice for those with dietary restrictions, so was not very appealing. In all, I found this hotel to be very pleasant, and good value for money, with excellent, friendly staff who accommodated me well with their perfect English."

"This really is a lovely little hotel. Lovely welcome from reception on arrival. Reception area really comfortable & pretty and decorated for Easter. I was lucky to be in Room 33 on the 3rd floor - fantastic small double room, spotlessly clean, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed sheets lovely & fresh and the bed was so comfortable. Great views from my little balcony and lovely to have breakfast on in the morning sunshine. Well equipped kitchen with fridges and freezers to store your own food & drinks. The rooftop terrace is wonderful for relaxing on - felt like it was my own terrace as very few use it. Perfect location - supermarkets a few minutes walk and 5 minutes into the Old Town. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I will be back and thank you for a wonderful holiday."
