Sanpeiso was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The ryokan beautifully preserves the atmosphere of traditional Japan while offering excellent comfort and hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and took great care of every detail throughout our stay. The room was spacious, spotless, and overlooked a peaceful garden, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The onsen was exceptional — the hot spring water felt wonderful after a day of sightseeing, and the entire bathing area was quiet and beautifully maintained. Both dinner and breakfast were served in traditional Japanese style and were outstanding. Every dish was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and showcased seasonal ingredients. It felt like a true cultural experience rather than simply a meal. What impressed us most was the authentic character of the ryokan. Unlike many modernized properties, Sanpeiso retains the charm and elegance of a classic Japanese inn. The combination of attentive service, excellent cuisine, serene surroundings, and high-quality hot springs made our stay unforgettable. If you are looking for an authentic ryokan experience in Atami, I highly recommend Sanpeiso. We would gladly return on our next visit to Japan.

非常滿意的一次入住體驗，房間非常大，乾淨舒適。全部阳台向海並帶𠕇私人溫泉浸浴。我們全家五人在兩个網站共訂了三个房間，酒店預先聯絡我们了解了各位入住客人的身高（以配置适合的浴袍）以及饮食愛好，特意為不吃魚生的加工好熟食。晚餐和早餐都非常美味，食材新鮮。入住兩天的菜單都有变化，魚生有龙蝦、甜蝦和各式當地當季的鮮魚和鰻魚，和牛也煎得非常到位，适合各位的要求！房間是現代简约及结合传统日式酒店的風格，我們有二间是日式、一间是西式風格的房間，彼此都相當滿意。lounge 在八樓，面向大海品尝冷、熱咖啡和綠茶、日本的各式小點心和果子，还可出阳台浸浸腳，不出洒店都能得到很好的休息！七樓更有風景很好、设施齐全的戶外风呂…… 酒店的所有員工都很热情、有禮、非常的專業！这是我們全家在日本渡假最滿意，一致感覺100分的酒店，並相約明年再來！

Good for a family trip. It feels like Japanese. There is a barbecue grill and staff can provide charcoal (with additional charge). We bought meat and others to enjoy dinner time. The bath is good. One thing I want to mention is location. It’s hard to find exact place since I followed google map. And when it’s dark, very hard to go to parking lot since the road is very narrow and can see sign. Anyway, recommended to visit.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in and it's not even close! I regret booking only one night. The room is beautiful and spacious (with the exception of the toilet, but that's usual in Japan). And the dining room!!! The food was heavenly, no matter what you choose. 100/10, I will be dreaming of coming back one day for sure!

Terdapat sebuah kerusi, tetapi sukar untuk digunakan kerana ketinggiannya tidak sesuai untuk cangkuk pancuran mandian. Tiada cermin di bilik mencuci. - Airnya sangat panas sehingga saya tidak tahan di dalamnya. Semua orang di sekeliling saya mempunyai reaksi yang sama. Bunyi saliran sangat kuat sehingga saya tidak dapat mendengar muzik yang menenangkan. - Tiada alkohol di mesin layan diri. Minuman percuma di ruang istirahat telah dikeluarkan pada pukul 10 malam, jadi ia menyusahkan jika saya terlupa membelinya di kedai serbaneka.

とても清潔でお料理もとても美味しかったです。 温泉も平日だからか空いていてとてもよかったです。 夕食は絶対つけたほうがいいとおもいました。 朝食は部屋でも可能で、のんびり過ごせました。 他の方のコメントにあった様にホテルまでの坂道が凄かったです。 車で行ったので上から降りてくる車と曲がるトンネルで鉢合わせしてしまい、登り優先なので相手の車が坂道をバックで上がって行って避けてくれました。 到着後、ホテルから歩いて駅前商店街を楽しみ、ホテルへの帰りは駅からタクシーを乗りましたが、タクシーの運転手さんもちゃんと無線でホテル側の上にいるタクシーに待ってもらってから登り始めました。上と下に信号でもあればいいのですが。 行き交う車の数は少ないので対向車が来ないことを祈りながら帰りました。

Location was near train station & walking distance to the shopping districts n F&B places. Room was spacious n comes with an ocean view. Excellent breakfast variety n taste. Service staff was helpful, attentive n friendly. The hotel provides a shuttle to the train station upon checkout in the morning. Hotel has a playroom for toddlers n gaming machines for adults.

We stayed one night and really enjoyed the amenities, especially on a rainy day. The private onsen was wonderful, and the communal baths were fantastic. The breakfast and dinner options were excellent and well worth the money. Overall, the property offers a relaxing and comfortable experience. There is some room for improvement. The television only offered Japanese channels, so adding a smart TV with streaming options would be a nice upgrade for international guests. We were also disappointed by the policy not allowing guests with tattoos to use the communal pools, which may be limiting for some travelers. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with great amenities, food, and a memorable onsen experience.

This hotel has been my favorite ever since. They have a shuttle service to and from Atami station. Staffs are friendly. A lot of variety of foods and alcohol drinks are bottomless free of charge. Ofuro are 4 kinds and I love them all.

I stayed at this guesthouse in Atami last December and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is quite convenient, as it’s close to Atami Station. There is a short uphill walk to reach the guesthouse, but it’s still manageable. Overall, I would rate the guesthouse 8/10. The main thing to note is that, as it’s a guesthouse, the bathroom and toilet are shared. There is also an onsen available on-site, though it requires an additional fee (which is not expensive). The onsen operates on a time schedule since it’s shared between male and female guests. The host was friendly and welcoming. I didn’t really get the chance to use facilities like the dining area or the rooftop, but the dining area has a balcony with a nice sea view, which looked great. Another big plus is that the guesthouse is within walking distance of Atami Heiwa-dōri Shopping Street, making it very convenient for food and shopping.
