"The hotel is in the scenic area so it is a little tricky to get to, otherwise it's in a nice quite ancient street which is nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of metropolitan china. Vehicles aren't allowed in the area and the street is lined with historic style buildings and large trees. Making it a great place to walk, relax and people watch. The hotel will contact you prior to arrival and arrange for a free electric shuttle pick you up. There are very few food options at and near the hotel. The hotel has a vegetarian set meal that's on the pricey side as is everything in the immediate area. However its a short 10 - 20 minute walk across the bridge where there are several options as well as shops. And if you go in the evening you can see the people dancing in along the boardwalk,.karaoke, or playing cards well as get your ears cleaned, a pedicure, or a haircut. The breakfast was a buffet on one day featuring chinese dishes as fried eggs and toast. On the 2nd day it was a set very traditional chinese breakfast. The room was nice with its own heating/ cooling system. Overall the cleaning could have been better, especially for the price point. The staff was fine. Better attention then you would get in any north american hotel, but in other hotels we recieved over the top service so even through the service was great there is room for improvement. Even though everyone comes to this area for the buddha, i would reccomend coming here to get away from the hustle and bustle of china. You can walk to the buddha statue or boat tour from the hotel or there is a cheap electric shuttle 15y that you can ride all day of you are walked out."

"We are a family of 4 and we loved the hotel. We booked the basic room, Tea Room, and we're very happy with it. Large, clean, and well decorated. The breakfast was simple but yummy with a 24 hour coffee machine. The location was fantastic, right in the city center with free parking. We would definitely stay again."

"Our room has a side view of the river and a big jacuzzi bathtub that we did not get to use. Receptionists are polite and helpful. Walking along the river can give you a side view of big Buddha and the town walking street with many shops and restaurants."

"Good location, and the staff were happy to answer my many questions using translator apps, and provided valuable advice. The breakfast buffet offered quite a few Chinese dishes, which I enjoyed. I was given three complimentary meals per day (which I have not experienced at a hotel before), although I was only available to enjoy the breakfast each day."

"The city of Leshan was one of our favorite stops during our trip to China. We went to see the Giant Buddha, and it was absolutely amazing—definitely a must-see, especially from the boat view. Our hotel room had a stunning view that honestly didn’t even compare to the pictures. It was even better in person. The toilet alone was next-level! It was pretty cold when we visited in March, but the overall experience made up for it. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. We paid about $60 USD for one of the best views, and that price also included a buffet breakfast for two people, which made it an even better deal. They also had two small washer machines available. I believe they offered detergent, but we chose to use our own. The only downside is that there’s no traditional dryer—just a heated drying cabinet. You can only hang about five pieces of clothing at a time, and it takes around 1.5 hours to dry. We ended up hanging some of our clothes in the laundry room, and the staff was kind enough to rotate them for us while we were out for the day. Before traveling to China, I highly recommend downloading WeChat (for communication), Alipay (for payments), and Didi (like Uber). Not everyone speaks English, but many people will communicate with you through WeChat, which was super helpful. We also paid for a half-day extension for about $15. Our original room was already booked, so they gave us a smaller room, but it allowed us to enjoy our day and come back to shower and get ready before heading to Chengdu. If you plan on shopping, Leshan is one of the cheapest places to do it. We bought two large suitcases for $17 and $18. They were basic plastic with a simple key lock, but they did the job—we made it all the way back to Los Angeles with them. One wheel did fall off after the flight, but honestly, it was still worth it. We didn’t want to spend money on expensive luggage for a one-time use. There’s a store about a five-minute walk away—it’s like a colorful, open-style dollar store where you can just walk right in. Overall, the staff and experience were amazing. I would absolutely stay here again."

"My main issue was that I came to an internationally branded hotel, expecting high levels of hygiene. The toilet definitely had a weird smell. The sink had a strand of hair in it when I checked in. The sheets felt a little damp. This may be some of the fabric softener they use? There is no way this is a 4star tier hotel. The hotel is far away from the main attractions or the station. About 20$ taxi from the Buddha. 10$ taxi from the station. Other than that, the staff at the door were helpful"

"Chen Jin's room was arranged for us, and there was a gourmet shop downstairs. There was a lot of food, so we could eat it downstairs, which was very convenient. The nearby shopping mall sold clothes.The drugstore has everything, which is very convenient."

"The first impression of the room is excellent. Very clean and gave a comfy vibe. The room is a modern design and is very comfortable. Front desk reception was very helpful and informative Services are excellent, and the receptionist is especially helpful in handling our luggage. A big thumbs up for the reception during our check out whom helped us to send our luggage to wait for our transport."
