I spent two nights at this beautiful hotel, on a visit to Emeishan with my girlfriend. It was an amazing experience! First of all, the pick-up from the train station by the hotel owner was really a welcome touch — he helped us greatly throughout our stay, making sure we had the best possible experience in Emeishan. The room itself was beautiful — amazing views from our own private balcony; a very tasteful, new and comfortable interior; impeccably clean; and a great selection of fruit, snacks, etc. in the room. A beautiful and convenient location too. The breakfast was really good — lots of dishes, and both days were different. It was lovely to sit on the balcony in the morning, looking out at mountains, eating a delicious breakfast and drinking coffee. I would highly recommend visiting Emeishan itself, and I think this hotel is the perfect base for a trip there — the next day, we visited Leshan giant Buddha (not far away by train), before returning to Chengdu in the evening. Overall, a great place to stay, and I definitely want to visit again!

We initially chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station and its recent opening. The drive up the narrow mountain road, full of sharp turns, was a bit unsettling for our city Didi driver, so we were secretly relieved (as was our driver) when we finally arrived. At first glance, the hotel seemed quite simple, and I wasn’t entirely sure I had made the right choice. However, any lingering doubts were quickly washed away by the warm welcome from Derek, the hotel manager, and the staff. When we got to our room, it was pure joy! The minimalist design is visually soothing, and the balcony with its expansive mountain views made us feel like just hanging around and doing nothing was more than enough. If you're the kind of traveler who feels guilty about not doing anything, rest assured that the hotel is in a beautiful section of the mountain. There's a lovely old temple and a sacred spring pond nearby—Zhongfeng Temple and Shenshui Pavilion, I believe. You’ll also enjoy the energy of hikers rushing up and down the mountain. There are enough people to make it lively but not overwhelmingly crowded like Leidongping or Jinding, where the crowds can be exhausting. A special mention goes to Derek, who exceeded all our expectations. His kindness and professionalism reminded me of the kind of service you expect from a six-star hotel, where every need is anticipated. Derek went above and beyond, making our journey to Golden Summit and onward to Leshan much smoother and more enjoyable. Since we speak minimal Chinese, he kindly helped us communicate with the next hotel, explaining how to get there. He even offered us a free ride to the bus station when we struggled to find a Didi in the area. Derek also helped arrange our transfer to Leshan. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for his assistance. If I had to suggest one area for improvement, I’d say the dinner options could use some enhancement to match the overall excellence of the stay. A small tip: If your goal is to catch the sunrise and sunset at Golden Summit, you'll need to stay at one of the mountaintop hotels near Jinding. Logistically, getting to these hotels involves taking a bus from Baoguosi or Wuxiangang Station to Leidongping, then a cable car to the upper platform, followed by a roughly one-hour hike with steep steps to Jinding. It's manageable with a backpack, but not ideal with large luggage. That’s why we chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its close proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station, leaving our luggage there and heading up the mountain with just our backpacks.

Our stay was truly exceptional from beginning to end. The rooms were excellent—very comfortable, clean, spacious, and well maintained—but what really made this hotel special was the incredible level of hospitality and attention to detail. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The hotel prepared a special welcome dinner for us, and they also organized a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. They went far beyond what we normally expect from a hotel. Transportation was arranged for us to different tourist attractions, as well as to train and bus stations, making it extremely easy to explore the area. The staff also helped us plan our excursions to the different mountains nearby, giving us recommendations and making sure we were properly prepared. For our excursions, they even prepared lunch boxes with food and provided shoe covers, rain protection, umbrellas, and everything else we might need depending on the weather. These small details made a huge difference and allowed us to simply enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics. What impressed us the most was how attentive, kind, and proactive the entire staff was. They didn't just provide accommodation—they genuinely cared about making our whole trip as comfortable, easy, and enjoyable as possible. Whenever we needed something, they were ready to help, often anticipating what we might need before we even asked. The combination of excellent rooms, outstanding service, transportation, excursion assistance, thoughtful meals, and personal attention made this one of the most memorable hotel experiences of our trip. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel, especially to anyone planning to explore the mountains and attractions in the area. Near emeishan station but not near enough to walk. Outside had a fair bit of restaurants and small convenience stores. Have a park within walking distance. Downside is the gym is quite a walk from our room (if you stay at the room with mountain view) Also, didnt manage to see the beautiful view as we left early everyday 😅

J人提前兩天才定的房間，不得不説實在太棒了👍管家小亞提前聯繫好，告知附近停車和接送點，非常準時高效，包括我們自己的車停的費用也提前付好完全沒有後顧之憂。管家還幫忙升級了江景房，視野開闊，酒店泳池非常出片，處處都是景。值得一提的是酒店所有工作人員都非常有禮貌而且熱情，我們臨時去樂山大佛，酒店還贈送講解和商務車，整個就是非常超值；早餐也豐富，孩子還動手自己做蛋烘糕。來樂山旅遊一百分推薦啊～

Very nice hotel to stay at if you are visiting emeishan. It is very close to the tourist center to hop on the bus up to Leidongping Station. It is also close to many restaurants and the Emeishan train station. The front desk staff are extremely helpful and kind. They helped me plan my route and time it to make sure I catch my train in time. They helped me navigate the app to buy the tickets for the entrance, bus, and cable car. You can order food delivery to your hotel room. The breakfast buffet was delicious and filling. There is a hot tub, parking lot, backyard hang out, laundry room, free ice cream, luggage storage, etc. as well.

Excellent location in the heart of the lively Shizhong district. Very well served by public transport. Easy and direct access to and from the train station. The Big Buddha site is a 40-minute walk away. Considering the price paid for the room and the three included meals, the overall value for money is more than worthwhile. The reception staff were very welcoming. My room on the 6th floor was spacious (large enough to have a bathtub!), clean, quite bright, with comfortable bedding. My room overlooked the central roundabout, yet the area was quiet. The bathroom was a good size and clean. A hairdryer and electric kettle were available in the room. Bottled water was provided daily. The in-room Wi-Fi was very good. There was a huge projection screen, but I didn't use it. The electrical outlets require an adapter to plug in European devices. The central air conditioning was efficient. A mirror in the room wluld have been a welcome addition but was missing, as a dedicated luggage storage area, like is common in many hotels in China, was needed to avoid having to leave luggage on the open floor for the entire stay. The breakfast restaurant is the hotel's biggest drawback. Located on the 8th floor, it offers a buffet breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00 AM, lunch from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. This place isn't a restaurant, but at best a market stall. It's noisy, too small, dirty, and in a state of disrepair. The quality of the buffet is mediocre. There are no drinks at breakfast except soy milk. This was my biggest disappointment, as I like to make meals a moment of peace and indulgence. The common areas are not cleaned. The carpet in the hallway outside my room wasn't brushed once in four days. It was filthy. The ashtrays in the hallways filled up with trash over the course of my four-day stay and were never emptied. The laundry area was completely uninviting. In short, the hotel felt very average and didn't match the photos plastered everywhere, making it my most disappointing accommodation experience during my month in China.

This is not a 4 or 5 start resort. It’s a 5 star room down the river. The restaurant was closed when we were there, so called gym does not exist at all, swimming pool is small like a pond and the bigger one is for kids. There is no garden or anything that covers the road and the bridge you can hear easily while staying down the swimming pool. The big bonus is the bathroom- big and modern exactly like on the picture and the spring water hot tub that works well and can create a great time during the night as you can hear the river. Light system is amazing. You can find any light that you need to set up a mood. People are very nice and friendly. The front desk does not have ‘ business card’ and location of the hotel was written down on a paper. Really little things that shows this place has a potential but not in the current set up. You can’t lock the room door when you are not inside- only the garden gate. Who would design such a thing? I know it’s a safe destination but still. There is no safe either. People create this place special but it does not meet a high standard resort score.

Cleanliness and location are good, and this hotel has the potential to be an excellent place to stay if it can improve in the following areas: 1. Power outlets: Please consider providing alternative outlet types such as Type C (two round pins) to better cater to international guests. The current Type I and A outlets are more suited to local use. Emeishan was my final stop after visiting Chongqing, Yichang, Enshi, Chengdu, and Gaoping — and all those places provided Type C outlets. Because of this, I was unable to charge my phone here. Although the front desk staff eventually helped me with charging (somewhat reluctantly), I believe hotel staff should proactively offer assistance in such cases. Good service is essential in the hospitality industry and is what gives a hotel a competitive edge. 2. Bathroom hangers: At present, the only option is the grab bar inside the shower cubicle, which is impractical since clothes get wet during showers. Proper hooks or hangers in a dry area of the bathroom would be much more useful. 3. Bathroom amenities: Providing a floor towel (bath mat) would allow guests to dry their feet before stepping out of the bathroom, adding comfort and safety. 4. Storage: Instead of only a few wall hooks, a proper hanging closet or wardrobe would greatly improve convenience for guests. 5. Luggage storage: A luggage rack should be provided so guests do not have to leave their bags on the floor. These may seem like small issues individually, but together they significantly affect the overall guest experience. I share this feedback not as a complaint, but in the hope that it will help the hotel improve for future guests.

It is a bit run down but it suits your needs. I was on the 4th floor and didn't find it that nice in the sense that a mosquito still flew in and bit me during the night (you could hear it in the room). And because there's no solid wall separating you from the living room (there's just a shelf), there wasn't any way to effectively shut the mosquito out. The night porridge also came with a piece of hair in it so from that point on, I stopped asking for the nighttime porridge. The staff are not that nice and are actually quite rude. For example, the lady who made my milk tea and most of the front-desk staff with the exception of one. I have to shout out the shuttle driver; he was so incredibly friendly and really made me feel welcome, while everyone else made me feel like a hassle. My Chinese isn't that great but I try my best, and the lady who made the free milk tea acted like a burden when I asked her to repeat things and didn't even bother explaining what it was. They are not that friendly over WeChat either compared to other hotels I've stayed at. Again, I have to shout out the shuttle driver. I never got his name but he was so cheerful and nice. He also helped unclog the toilet several times; not sure if there was some kind of plumbing issue but it clogged almost every single time and so I unfortunately called him a lot. But he was so patient and helpful every single time and he is the highlight of my stay. Everyone else should adopt his attitude rather than being cold over the WeChat customer service support chat, or basically shouting at you because you are having trouble understanding the free milk tea options.
