"We stayed here recently for one night as the Heritage Hotel was fully booked. The rooms are large and comfortable however the bathrooms are smaller than across the road at the Heritage hotel. The villa is only a few steps from the Nallur Temple and as we stayed during the festival it was interesting to see the devotees walk by. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Recommended!"

"All the staff were very friendly. The manager, Rohanth, and Thinesh were extremely helpful. The front desk staff member, Princy, was also very kind and helpful. I don’t remember the names of the other staff members, but they were all wonderful. A special thanks to the chef for preparing jackfruit for us when we requested it. "We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting Jaffna. The website descriptions are accurate. This is a very welcoming small luxury boutique hotel. There are four rooms. We stayed in the ‘peacock’ room which was very comfortable with good air conditioning. The whole villa is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished. The hotel is within walking distance of the town but we chose to eat in both nights as we were tired from sightseeing. You choose options from a suggested menu (traditional) and they cook it freshly for you at your preferred time. Spices were adjusted to our personal preferences. Breakfast was a similar arrangement and all food was eaten at the beautiful dining table. It felt like a private dining experience. The swimming pool was very welcome and is set in a well tended garden. Thankyou to Kogulan (front of house) and Mekala (chef) for a wonderful stay."

Staff members were inattentive and unhelpful, showing a lack of professionalism and courtesy. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay in Jaffna. It was a regrettable experience that left me feeling thoroughly dissatisfied. The lack of cleanliness was not confined to our room; it was evident throughout the hotel premises. Common areas were unkempt, and cleanliness standards were well below acceptable levels. This was deeply concerning and not in line with the standards one would expect from a reputable hotel. Furthermore, the service we received was disappointing. Staff members appeared inattentive and unhelpful, lacking the professionalism and courtesy expected in the hospitality industry. Their demeanor only added to our dissatisfaction with our overall experience at Valampuri Hotel. As a result of these issues, I regret to inform you that I cannot in good conscience recommend your hotel to anyone considering a stay in Jaffna. It is imperative that immediate action is taken to address the cleanliness issues and improve the quality of service provided to guests. I urge you to take this feedback seriously and implement measures to rectify the shortcomings we experienced during our stay.
