Hotel berhampiran Teater Capitol, Haymarket

Very new hotel, less than a year old hence everything was very new and clean. Location very convenient, right in chinatown, near to trams and very conveniently located 5 mins walk away from Central Station. However, one down side was though hotel was new, the toilet sliding door kept having issue and had to get the repairman to come in. Bathroom amenities provided but self collect from counter.

We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Sydney Darling Square! The location was perfect, especially because it was close to the concert venue we were attending. We also loved the view from our room, the bed was very comfortable, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The only small suggestion would be to have a few more breakfast options. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again! ☺️

My stay at The Pod Sydney was generally positive, especially considering I was traveling solo and staying in a mixed dorm. The Location deserves a perfect 5/5. It is truly exceptional—right in the heart of the city and just steps away from public transport, making it incredibly easy to get to all the main attractions. Cleanliness was also very good (4/5). The common areas and bathrooms were well-maintained and tidy. However, I rated both Service and Facilities as Okay (3/5). While the staff was courteous, the check-in process felt a bit slow, and I didn't feel the communal facilities truly stood out. For instance, the common room felt small for the number of guests. Overall, if a prime location and good cleanliness are your top priorities as a solo traveler, The Pod Sydney is a solid choice. Just manage your expectations regarding the facilities and service efficiency.

I stayed at The Capitol Sydney Hotel for a business trip and was genuinely impressed. The room was perfect—spotlessly clean and exceptionally well presented. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. I honestly couldn't fault this place. The check-in staff were also very accommodating, friendly, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm next in Sydney. Highly recommended! -

Can’t beat the location for being right next to Hay market, Chinatown, easy public transit … Place is a little dated but good enough if one is not looking for fancy. Biggest complaint: no working usb plugs and only type I plugs on the walls so foreign visitors need to bring their own adapters or run across the street to Haymarket, hopefully before 6, and find a stall that might carry something that works.

Super tiny. I felt like I spent a night in a prison cell. But it is right in Chinatown(and 5mins from Chinatown team stop), opposite to Paddy market where you can get real fresh fruits. Haymarket is not far either, a great place for a decent meal. Need anything else, woolworths supermarket is 30m away! Central Station is 7mins away! Superb location. Just that the room without windows will be difficult if stay for more than 1 night.

Really enjoyed our stay at Meriton Suites Campbell Street. The location was a major highlight — close to everything we needed and offering some great views from the apartment. The space itself was comfortable and well laid out, making it feel more like a home away from home than a typical hotel room. Just a few minor things kept it from a perfect 5, but nothing that took away from an overall excellent stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Got upgraded which is a massive bonus. Room super comfortable and clean. 1 small problem is they are renovating the front hall so can be abit off putting for some. No on site parking, lots of tour groups the drivers can be rather aggressive at the set down area. Overall a good experience

The location is great, but the building is quite old, so you can definitely feel its age. It seems like maintenance needs more attention. The shower head and the toilet flush button had minor issues, but they weren’t too inconvenient. I informed reception after checking out.

I would tell the toilet is as per review, yes it is small and narrow but it’s simply worth the price especially when you consider the location (2mins walk to Chinatown station and Haymarket (most cheapest market in Sydney), and measured few stations to Circular Quay and one station to Sydney Central Station! Well the room (pod) condition also nice, even though you can expect the space pod is small but it’s clean and the A/C, electricity and locker works perfectly fine. Will definitely book this hotel again next time if I were a budget traveller.
