Pengguna Tanpa NamaThe location is convenient if you are looking to stay away from the city center and avoid expensive public parking. A little noisy due to main traffic road but overall it's ok.
While the hotel offers onsite parking, it is pricey at AUD 40 per night, and the carpark spaces are very narrow and limited.
The room does not come with an amenity kit; however, a plus point is that it includes a refrigerator, a microwave, and some basic utensils, bowls, and plates. I appreciated the additional basin in the room.. while small, it was better than nothing.
The bathroom basin is poorly designed it is nearly impossible to wash your face there without hitting your head on the faucet! The shower is fine, but the floor gets wet easily because there is no shower curtain to block the water from reaching the toilet area. Additionally, no toiletries are provided other than basic shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner.
The hotel does not have an in-house laundry service, but there is a laundromat located at the open-air carpark directly opposite the hotel.
For dining, there is a McDonald's and KFC nearby, about a 5-minute walk away. Alternatively, you could drive over, as they provide their own parking.
The breakfast is extremely basic, consisting only of bread, a toaster, fruit, and a machine for milk, coffee, and tea. The staffs were very friendly and makes you feel like home

Well-maintained room and facilities, and not too far a walk from city centre. However, there aren’t much around for foods and drinks as I stayed during a public holiday.

Pengguna TetamuNested in a nice location in between the botanical garden and city centre. Food variety and replenish rate can be better at the lounge area during peak periods over the weekends. Can ask for hot chocolate and omelette which area not on display (nice touch) Water pressure for the showers can be higher. Besides that, everything else is great!

Pengguna TetamuThe concierge was extremely poor, drove in with my 7 seaters rented car, and staff simply ignored my existence - didn't even bother to come out to greet us nor offer any help with the luggage, even after telling him that I'll need help - zero awareness and zero service. The luggage trolley is simply an ornament. Excuse me, it's Marriott! Never in my life have i had to experience such an unwelcoming experience.
However, the receptionist (wearing spec) was the only person who gave my family a warm welcome, likewise the staff at the buffet. 👍

MASSOODThe hotel's location is excellent. The surrounding views and the city skyline are beautiful, both during the day and especially at night.
As I had requested a quiet room so I could get enough rest, the hotel staff made every effort to accommodate my request, and I was satisfied with the result. Although a small amount of noise could still be heard in the room, it was minor and easy to overlook.
The cleanliness of the hotel was very good, and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would be happy to stay here again.

Pengguna Tanpa NamaWhile the Mercure Brisbane King George Square serves as a perfectly fine and functional base, it didn't quite hit the 'excellent' mark I was expecting. The hotel's central CBD location is a massive highlight, making it incredibly easy to walk to public transport, shopping, and dining. However, the property and rooms are starting to feel quite dated and tired, lacking the modern, premium touches that truly elevate a hotel stay. Ultimately, it is a clean and convenient place to rest your head, but it is best suited for travelers prioritizing location over a luxury experience.

It was a bit painful from the get go checking in. You have to go to a different hotel a block over. There is nowhere to park to check in. I called the number to be put through to a call centre that isn’t on site.
Call 1: yes you can park in the visitor parking just buzz and they’ll let you in.
Call 2: while blocking the driveway I’m unable to find a buzzer that reaches reception. Operator sounds confused, I hang up and someone is coming out so I sneak in.
Call 3: I’m parked in visitor parks, go up the lift and come out at another building. She again sounds confused. If I go out the door I won’t be able to get back in without a fob, so I’m asking which way I should go. There are no signs to tell me how to get to Ivy and Eve apartments. I eventually find a worker who takes me around to reception. Sorted. Or so I think.
I check in with reception. The girl was really lovely and informative. So I think, until I reach the carpark of the next building I’m staying at. The sheet of paper she gave me says “your allocated car space is 131 and is located on 55. I drive in looking for level 55, car space 131. Neither of these exist.
Call 4: Where is my carpark? Am I missing something. Keep in mind every time I call I’m asked to give all my details so they can verify my booking so by now I’m pretty tired of it all. She finds my booking and says oh yes you’re in park 55 on level B1. (See photo for why I was confused!)
I drive around the carpark looking for a 55. It doesn’t exist. All carparks are labelled with a sign saying Art house and 4 numbers. Ok maybe it’s the last 2? Nope doesn’t exist. After driving around for a bit I realise there are numbers on the ground of the carpark that are completely different to the signs (I didn’t look at the ground because the signs said art house)
So finally I work out that this is my park. Another confused guest stops to ask me where his park might be and I explain it’s the floor ones not the art house signs. So I wasn’t the only one.
Ok so park the car, go upstairs to room 1106 which of course is on floor 10. Makes sense lol. As soon as I open the door I’m hit with a wet musty kind of smell. Like the place had been flooded and not allowed to dry out properly maybe? I opened all the windows and when that didn’t work I went and bought some air freshener to hide the smell a bit.
We left all the doors open all night and next day and the smell improved. The lounge chairs are not comfy if you’re looking for a stay in watch Netflix type staycay, but the beds are really comfy. The place was pretty immaculately clean so that was nice. And washer dryer were great to have.
If I had have known I’d need to go through all that checkin at another building I would not have booked. Maybe I missed the part that mentioned this? Ahh well we enjoyed our stay in general, it just didn’t get off to a good start.

Stevie BBFirst time I've stayed here. I was aware of the mixed reviews & I've stayed at other hotels in Chermie but they were booked out on this occasion. It was raining heavily when I arrived so appreciated the undercover parking spaces immediately outside the reception. Check-in was seamless (thx Trip.com) & they didn't require a security deposit or CC scan so my customer trust box was ticked :-) The car park is secure & at ground level but spaces are limited; I was able to find a spot though at 4pm. There is public parking out on the street without restriction after 5pm. I had a Hotel Queen Room on the 2nd floor. Easy access via lift and the common areas were clean & well lit. The room and bathroom were clean with a pleasant aroma & no smell of mould (reported by others), air-con was on. I had a choice of two sliding doors to access the balcony so good for fresh air (but no insect screen). Overall, the room was comfortable whilst showing some signs of wear & tear. The shower had a choice of either hand-held or fixed head (rainforest type) & had plenty of pressure - great. I would recommend bringing your own toiletries, unless you're happy with generic multi-function liquid soap! The fridge was empty except for a small uht milk with no complimentary springwater or mini-bar that you might find in other hotels. There was TV, tea/coffee making supplies and a small microwave. If you like to sleep in complete darkness (like me), bring an eye-mask as the hallway lighting outside the room is bright & on all night, creating an aura around the front door that is hard not to notice. The area was relatively quiet with the hotel located on a side street. It's an easy & short walk to a major shopping centre and the bus station if you need to head into Briz City, which is a 20-30min ride away & only $0.50 fare - awesome. Breakfast (from 7am) was also included but I had to head-off early so wasn't able to grab a bite this time. In summary, I felt that the room rate was appropriate and score my overall experience as good.

Pengguna TetamuI booked on the day we arrived as I needed accommodation close to Northshore Eat Street. Saw reviews about access issues so I called before booking and was advised access info is sent at 2pm. We had no problems with online booking and receiving access code.
Room was good value for money with balcony, plenty of free parking and wifi.
Would definitely book again if I need accommodation close to airport.
