PPengguna TetamuMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3.
The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”.
Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review.
1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels.
2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative.
3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious.
4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable.
Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

HH_fungStrategically located near to Haymarket Station and Central Station with easy accessible to Chinatown, Sydney CBD and Circular Quay. The kitchen is well-equipped with cooking utensils and ther are also lots of activities provided by the hostel (changed weekly). Recommended!

JJulesTI’ve stayed in many hostels before and understand you sometimes get what you pay for, but my stay at Wake Up! Sydney Central was disappointing.
We booked a private room for three with a shared bathroom. The room had a strong “slept-in” smell which seemed to come from the actual pillows and bedding rather than the sheets. The shared bathrooms were also quite dirty, and during our five-day stay I only saw them cleaned once.
The kitchen on the first floor is far too small for the number of guests. Fridges and cupboards were completely full, and with only a few cooktops, sinks and microwaves it’s very difficult to cook or find a place to eat.
The hostel is very focused on partying, with events like pizza nights and free drinks in the kitchen area. It’s also quite noisy, with partying and heavy doors slamming day and night, so don’t expect much sleep.
Considering how expensive Sydney is, this place still felt overpriced. The building is run down (cracked sinks), beds have thin mattresses, and we even saw a large cockroach one day. Staff simply said, “this is Australia.”
There’s also no ramp at the entrance, so heavy luggage has to be carried up the stairs.
The only real positive is the great location.

Fully equipped kitchen letting us buy groceries from nearby supermarkets to taste Aussie food.
Daily rate is way lower than CBD hotels but location is very convenient.

YYaatoh;)We were there for a mini break over the weekend.
It is extremely central and we were able to walk everywhere, QVB, Opera House, the Rocks, China Town etc etc.
It is in the heart of Darling Harbour with a lovely atmosphere.
The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and the rooms are well appointed. Love the bathroom and the city views!
We look forward to our next stay here when we go to Sydney. Definitely recommend!

PPengguna TetamuPenginapan yang Mengecewakan untuk Majlis Istimewa – Dijangka Lebih Banyak daripada Hotel 5 Bintang Menginap 4 malam bersama anak perempuan saya untuk kejutan ulang tahun kelahirannya. Dinaik taraf kepada bilik Harbour Bridge View di Aras 23 ($715/malam), tetapi kebanyakan pemandangannya adalah tapak pembinaan yang kosong – sangat tidak memuaskan untuk harganya. Bilik bersambung yang bising dan kereta sport yang bising antara jam 12–2 pagi menyukarkan untuk tidur. Sarapan pagi ($65pp) adalah di bawah jangkaan – sosej kering dan daging yang hampir tidak dimasak, walaupun kakitangannya cantik. Perkhidmatan bilik pada malam terakhir kami mengambil masa hampir sejam - dipesan pada pukul 7:38 malam, makanan tiba pada pukul 8:30 malam. Sebagai ibu solo, ini adalah perjalanan yang telah kami simpan untuk masa yang lama dan mahukan ia benar-benar istimewa, tetapi kami dibiarkan berasa kecewa. Dijangka lebih daripada hotel 5 bintang. Sorotan positif penginapan kami ialah tab mandi besar yang indah dan kemudahan pancuran mandian berkualiti tinggi, yang menambahkan sentuhan kemewahan. Lokasi yang hebat dan berjalan kaki yang indah di sepanjang pantai!! Untuk harga yang kami bayar, pemandangan tidak jauh dari apa yang anda jangkakan dari hotel mewah. Jika difikirkan semula, Bilik Deluxe King dengan kadar yang lebih rendah yang menghadap ke air akan menjadi pilihan yang lebih baik! -

XxiaoshumelExcellent location just a couple mins walk from Town Hall station. Also has a Woolworth conveniently nearby and QVB is just across the road. Room was clean, room service was excellent and towels were replaced daily. Mini fridge and iron too in the room if needed. Bathroom is spacious enough and concierge is very friendly.

And it takes 10mins walk to Central Station and quite convenient to go to many spots in Sydney Center

PPengguna TetamuBreakfast was excellent but the room we had on level one was not good. It had steps going down to the bed. As you went into the room the bathroom was on the left tea making on the right then steps down to bed area with TV and lounge to sit on. Not good for us with mobility issue in our late seventies . Had to go up the steps to make tea or use the bathroom. Management explained the room was recently renovated and yes we could tell that but didn’t even have a window to look out. It was so high up in the wall. He said that was the only room available for what I had booked. I have stayed there before and had a lovely room so very disappointed this time.

PpornphunWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!
