VValarie474A Sanctuary When I Needed It Most
I arrived in Taiyuan not feeling well and ended up staying seven nights without ever leaving the room. Labor Day holiday, full DND stretches, just me and delivery apps. And honestly? It was exactly what I needed, and this hotel made it possible.
Let me start with the moment that defined this stay. My housekeeper came in most days to refresh the room, and each time I'd ask for the same drinks. After a few days he just knew -- knew what I wanted, knew I wasn't feeling well. He'd heard me coughing while he cleaned and was clearly paying attention. On my last day, when I had DND up and didn't want any service at all, he quietly left a bag of my favorite drinks outside the door anyway. No knock, no disruption. Just a person who had been paying attention all week and wanted to take care of me. That kind of warmth doesn't come from a training manual. I won't forget it.
The room itself held up beautifully for a long stationary stay. Clean, accurate to the photos, well-appointed. Floor-to-ceiling windows, two bathrooms, excellent shower pressure, generous storage, a proper tea set, and a beverage bar housekeeping kept replenished without being asked. The slippers were genuinely excellent -- better than some five-star properties I've stayed at.
For seven nights of recovery during a national holiday, this hotel and its people delivered everything that mattered.

特別感謝餐飲部的王林娥女士。由於我丈夫是澳洲人，不太習慣中式麪食，王女士非常細心，在現有餐食基礎上特別為他準備了更符合飲食習慣的餐點。她對我們的照顧無微不至，讓我們夫婦真正感受到賓至如歸的温暖與貼心🙏

PPengguna TetamuCould not fault this place. We had booked a bigger room, but it was on the main street, so decided not to take the risk. A slight downgrade was organised swiftly. Room very comfortable, with a nice big bathroom. A well equipped gym where I seemed to be the only user. Breakfast passable with toast, fruits, cereal, coffee and baked goods. We extended our stay to 4 nights. The service at the front desk, room servicing, breakfast was exemplary. The room maid left me a lovely book marker as she saw my lonely planet. (btw, LP mentions a restaurant at the start of the bu xing jie; I wouldn't bother).Hotel is 1km west of Tiyuguan metro station on line 2. Line 1 yet to open. Two stations north brings you 400m from Bell Tower Street, a bu xing jie where there are heaps of great eating places. One station north of Tiyuguan, then east as far as possible gets you to the old Taiyuan train station. Buses 308 or 804 (slow trip) gets you to JinCi Si; well worth the trip even just to see a 3,000yo tree

SSamM222This is a luxurious hotel. The rooms don’t look or feel like a hotel room. They feel like home away from home. The soundproofing is great and it is always a quiet yet the hotel room has a door separating the room from the hallway leading to the front door. That way you are insulated from any noise from outside, which is often a problem at other hotels. The air-conditioning system is very quiet and works perfectly. We slept well there. I would stay at this hotel for breakfast alone. As you walk by the buffet, it just keeps going. It took me more than a minute to walk from one end of the buffet to the other. The variety of dishes is staggering. I have never seen anything like this in my life. The quality of the dishes is superb as well. I will remember their steamed dumplings for a long time… Many of the other dishes were exotic and very interesting. It was the best hotel I stayed at during my trip. And unforgettable experience.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaWe loved our stay in Taiyuan and this was probably the best overall hotel of our trip! If you can't find it in the alley simply walk into the most beautiful entrance. The interior designer must have been happy as well, lots of nice artwork and style, very nice room, comfy bed, great breakfast buffet. Perfect location yet quiet, in the old centre full of shops and restaurants, buzzy nightlife, don't miss the 'Paris Baguette' in the same alley! By the way, to get to the wonderful Jinci Temple we simply took the subway to Xiqiao and then a Didi.

PPengguna Tanpa Nama超滿意的一次太原住宿體驗！剛下飛機就有酒店專車接機，隔天返程還送我們到太原南站，全程不用操心交通，司機師傅服務周到又準時，太省心了。辦理入住時超驚喜，直接給我們升了房，前台小姐姐更是細心又暖心，主動幫身份證套保護套，看到我們行李多還貼心幫忙扛，細節裏全是温柔。
房間環境特別好，全屋智能操控很方便，冬天住進去特別暖和，床鋪柔軟舒適，睡得特別香。酒店還貼心準備了可樂、雪碧等飲品和品質不錯的礦泉水，不用額外購買，太貼心了！整體體驗感拉滿，下次來太原肯定還選這家！

The room itself was big and comfortable with a good view. It has a decent gym and laundry service.

Mmel520Amazing location! The restaurant was surrounded by lots of restaurants and a bustling night market. Walking distance to many of the popular streets downtown. The room was clean and very comfortable and I really appreciated that there is a free washing machine/dryer to use. I booked the room with breakfast however due to an early flight I couldn’t eat so the front desk gave me extra snacks instead!

MMufVinArI had a wonderful experience staying at the Grand Metropark Wanshi Hotel. The hotel offers great comfort at an affordable price, complete with a bathtub in the room. I playfully requested flower decorations on the bed, honeymoon-style—and to my surprise, the hotel fulfilled the request for free! My wife was ecstatic, and I was genuinely impressed by their willingness to go the extra mile.
The breakfast and lunch were delicious, with halal food options available. The hotel is in a convenient location, with easy access to various destinations. There's even a Bank of China next door, perfect for foreign currency exchange or cash withdrawals.
Across the hotel, you'll find Ming Supermarket, which offers snacks at very low prices—great for souvenirs. There are also plenty of halal food vendors, including a Muslim-run lamb skewer stall and other street snacks, so you'll never go hungry.
While the hotel staff's English skills are limited, communication was smooth using Google Translate. The front desk even taught me how to order food online using *******. A highlight of our stay was their delivery robot, which brought food from the lobby directly to our room. It was impressive and fun to experience!
I highly recommend Grand Metropark Wanshi Hotel for travelers seeking a delightful, hassle-free stay in Taiyuan. Their warm service and thoughtful amenities made our trip unforgettable.
