Hotel berhampiran Tokong Nanputuo, Xiamen

This is a great hotel! Smallish rooms, but near tourist sites (Xiamen University, seaside, Shapowei). Rooms are comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel consists of two buildings. My room was in building 2 (the annex, opposite the main building), which was fine. At first, I was a little worried about noise, as my room directly overlooked the entrance to the main building. But in fact, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, which was great! Not even much noise from other rooms, except some light muffled sounds. Much better than the average poorly soundproofed Chinese hotel, which in itself is a reason for me to highly recommend this hotel. The only negative point was that there's clearly some kind of leak in the bathroom, meaning there was all the time a small puddle of water near the toilet (other than that, it was fine). It was great to be able to use the washing machine for free (receptionist helped with that and even provided washing detergent for free). This area is popular with tourists, so some parts were crowded (in the past, I have stayed in other areas of Xiamen which perhaps as an area I preferred). I loved the network of little alleys that the hotel is located in though, which (unlike nearby Shapowei tourist area) seemed quaint and authentic. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

I had a great stay in this property, got the room for a very affordable price, the location is very accessible to all, there is a mall, coffee shop, restaurant and convenience store downstairs and also the room had a nice view. The host is very accommodating, they have a cleaning service everyday and most importantly for me is the cleanliness of the room, the room is well maintained that's why i felt comfortable on my entire stay. I recently stayed at Blue shark see view Hotel in my trip to Xiamen and overall, I had a positive experience. The hotel is Situated in a touristy part of the city, close to public transportation, banks, restaurants and shopping malls. The room and common areas were decent and tidy. My room 1715 was spacious and it had a wonderful view, the only thing to importe is the stains on the ceiling and provide regular towels instead of disposable ones. breakfast is not included but there are cafes walking distance. The internet connection was good in general. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money and a comfortable stay in Xiamen.

This is a very clean hotel. No frills though, but staff are helpful. About 10-15 mins walk to Zhongshan walking street. You can literally see Gulangyu island and General Zhen watching over us. If you are gamed for seafood market/restaurant, Eight Market is around 2km away.

I was visiting a friend who studies at Xiamen University. The hotel is great. Friendly staff. Excellent rooms. One small weakness was the shower which is not cold, but also not very hot. It is not a serious problem, but a hot shower is nice in winter time. Still, I would definitely stay here again. The location near XMU is perfect, the rooms are luxurious, an incredible value at this price. The staff are also extremely helpful. This hotel is my little home in Xiamen.

Register ur face for Id at lobby Entrance is away from Co**d Hotel as C wants to differentiate. Lovely view. I am here for the view. Dipossable Bath towels! 1st time seeing and using. Very near to many eateries and bus is near too Call the customer service at premise (mandarin as hotel side replied if I could speak mandarin) then will be asked for wechat and procedures to check in on phone Staff below coordinates entry and exit by face recoding to enter, not check in related Yes I will be back if I come to Xiamen again

Looked great in the listing but in reality it was not so much, room was reasonable size with a dated and somewhat run down decor, shower leaks so some of the floor boards are rotting away, shower is mouldy and not pleasant to shower in and towels are disposable which are not sufficient to dry me off. Window is very dirty so the view is impared, otherwise a decent view but once you have seen it once its not that interesting and you realise its not really worth paying extra for. Stayed here nights, it was ok (ish) but I was happy to move on.

We had a beautiful stay at Lan Hua Li and strongly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Xiamen. The setting of the hotel is gorgeous, on a hill just up from Shapowei. Walking distance (including to Nan Pu Tuo and Xiamen University), but a peaceful world away from the city overlooking Xiamen harbour. The property itself is very beautiful with a lovely outdoor area and gardens with a shallow pool, and a very peaceful bistro/cafe/bar. The rooms are beautiful. Just as you see in the photos. While the bed is lovely and the views gorgeous, the real winner is the bathtub in the bedroom. I'm not usually a bath person, but I bathed every night of our 6 night stay and loved it. In addition to this, there is also a very functional large bathroom with shower. What made the stay particularly charming is the kindness of the staff. Everyone - from the managers to the breakfast staff to the early morning cleaner who chatted to me while I had my dawn cigarette in the garden - was very welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As a foreigner, with practical challenges travelling in China, I cannot emphasise enough how reassuring and helpful this was. We will always remember our stay at Lan Hua Li, and will recommend it to our friends and perhaps will come to stay again someday if we ever want a nostalgic holiday in Xiamen. Located just around the corner from Zhongshan Road - Xiamen's main shopping street, and a short walk from the subway station, we had a great visit. We ate breakfast at the hotel which had a good variety of choices, mostly Chinese of course but also bread (a toaster available) and cereal too. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We left a phone charger in the room when checking out but they found it for us when we went back to get our luggage. Great stuff.
