This place is located minutes from the beach and minutes for the city so it’s a great location. The rooms are very clean and the access is safe and secure. There is free coffee and a microwave on the ground floor.
The only drawback (and it’s huge to a solo traveler booking forward legs of a journey) is that the WiFi is awful ! The connection is good on the ground floor but I was on the third floor and this proved very frustrating.
I was informed that the reception was “poor by the window of the room”. It was poor in every part of the room !
If they get this sorted it would be a full 5 star accommodation ….. it’s really a nice place (Room 301) …

The hotel is centrally located and staff was welcoming. The bathroom is on the older side but was clean. The beds are quite hard, but I personally don't mind that, however despite the bed being hard there was a slope/hole in the mattress.

Hotel location is superb. But I personally like the most of this hotel is their buffet breakfast. It’s one of the best breakfast I ever had in taitong hotels given this was my 5th trip to taitung in last 3 years.
The buffet breakfast is well prepared, so many different varieties of food and the staffs provided top notch service to all customers

This is my first time to Taitung. Between Hotel Royal Chihpin and Z hotel, I chose Z Hotel due to its strategic location in city centre and close proximity to many eateries, Taitung forest park & Haibin park.
To make sure that I get to enjoy the high quality onsen, I took a cab which cost me TWD500 to HRC.
The breakfast served at Z Hotel was my favourite among all the hotels which serve buffet breakfast.
Oh, did I mention that I got auto upgrade to a spacious, deluxe triple room ? The bed is very comfortable and room is squeakily clean. Though it is facing the main road, I didn’t hear any traffic noise at all !

The location of the hostel is about 100m away from Taitung bus station. The bed/pillow/blanket are hotel standard as their main service is hotel.
However, there is only 1 toilet for 6 beds.
Also, there is no sign in the room indicating 'to keep lower voice/sound'. Had bad experience that local young lady return to the hostel in the middle of the night with big bang sound and walk on the tatami like big elephant for several nights. Also, waking up at around 6am with very harsh sound drawing the curtain. Definitely not a good experience.
The hotel should put a note to remind all traveller to behave themselves. I believe the local has lesser experience to respect other travellers when staying in dormitory.

It was fine for a night but nothing special. Clean and quiet hotel close to the train station. I wouldn’t stay longer than 1 night. Check in process is a bit strange but the lady checking me in was very friendly and helpful. Would stay again for one night due to proximity to the station

Kkateyang23This hostel is very suitable for backpackers. The room is so comfortable and the price is very affordable. If you travel with friends, the price of the two-person room per one person is almost the same as the room that has 4 single beds for 4 individuals.
The photo is a random photo, but look how comfortable the atmosphere is. I like the tone of the room which is white and earth tone.

PPanamaxThe hotel is overall okay — suitable if you’re mainly looking for a place to sleep rather than to spend much time in. The staff have very limited English skills, so communication can be a bit difficult. Use Google Translate ;)
We were upgraded from a double to a quadruple room, which was kind but resulted in less space to move around as most of the room was taken up by beds. The bathroom was clean and featured a modern Japanese-style toilet. The shower was pleasant, with an adjustable showerhead for different water streams. The ceilings are low.
Wi-Fi was quite slow, making it difficult to stream a movie in the evening. The telephone in the room, which we didn’t use, was visibly dirty and could use a deep clean.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including many vegetarian-friendly dishes, which we appreciated. However, most of the food — including the eggs — was served cold.
Note that not the entire building belongs to the hotel; the third floor appears to be residential, so you may see some locals passing through. We stayed on the fifth floor — some street noise was noticeable, but we still slept well.
The hotel feels relatively new, with fresh mattresses and feather pillows, which were comfortable. Most of the other guests seemed to be domestic Chinese tourists.
Given the above mentioned points I would recommend to rather stay at Norden Ruder Branch 2 across the street, where you also get a more international flair.

There was hotel shuttle service but no clear instructions on how to book in advance. Info not available on trip.com. Concierge staff did not readily offer the service also. Was told only available to members. Not for 3rd party booking. Am disappointed.
Room was spacious. 2 queen size beds. But toilet and bathroom were small. Head will hit the door if I sit at toilet bowl and lean just a bit forward. The bathroom door hits the rain shower head, so if not notice, and open the door with force may break the glass door.
Yellow lights in the room were very dim. Make ambience cozy and classy but very straining to the eyes.
2 out of 3 laundry machines out of order. Laundry powder did not dispense from vending machine. Hv to change coins at lobby when laundry is at 6th floor.
Overall, not quite up to expectations unfortunately.

FFerfer8Note that there’s NO LIFT in this inn so if you have heavy luggages or bags, do consider again. Booked room with 3 Futon beds for family of 5 but no space to open up luggages to pack actually. With 1 luggage open, not much space to walk anymore. The kids did enjoy the futon bed concept and aircon was working well.
Clean beds, clean sheets nonetheless. There’s a small kitchen with microwave that is common space for all rooms, and some space to eat if you need to eat in.
Some parking space along the roadside, or garden area nearby. 24hr laundromat is 5 mins walk to the main road. It’s an inn so have to manage expectations of space.

MMr. SSinghOutstanding hotel but in the middle of nowhere. Also next to a Thai restaurant there aren't many good food choices nearby. Breakfast at this place has a lot of items but not much that are suited for westerns. Overall, I recommend staying in the city and paying few extra bucks.

TTobias TI recently had the opportunity to stay at ”It's Mine Hostel” in Taidong, and overall, I found it to be an okay accommodation option. Here are my thoughts on various aspects of the hostel:
Atmosphere and Policies
Upon arrival, one of the notable aspects of the hostel was the requirement to remove shoes before entering. Although this might inconvenience some guests, it does contribute to maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises. The hostel has a modest, laid-back atmosphere, which can be suitable for travelers seeking a relaxed environment.
Room
Unfortunately, I found the room to be a bit claustrophobic. The limited space made it challenging to move around comfortably. However, considering the price, it was within the acceptable range. The room was clean and tidy, which was a positive point.
Service
One aspect that could be improved is the level of service provided. The staff offered minimal assistance during my stay, which led to a lack of personal touch. Despite this, it's worth noting that the basic amenities and necessities were provided.
Pricing
Considering the reasonable price offered by ”It's Mine Hostel,” it is essential to manage expectations accordingly. While some aspects may not be perfect, the affordability of the accommodation must be taken into account when evaluating the overall value.
In conclusion, ”It's Mine Hostel” in Taidong is an okay option for travelers on a budget. It is worth noting that the hostel has a relaxed atmosphere. it provides basic amenities and cleanliness. If you're willing to overlook some limitations, ”It's Mine Hostel” can be a decent choice for your stay in Taidong.

Yyona vanI had booked a room in the “hostel” section, but it’s actually more of a hotel pretending to also be a hostel. The cleanliness in the room left much to be desired (from what i could see the window sill is clearly never cleaned, hair on the clean sheets, etc.). On top of that, the lockers are fake in the sense that they don’t lock, so they’re basically just cupboards that anyone can open.
As for the bathroom, some of the shower doors are broken and were literally left abandoned inside the shower. What was my surprise to see that there were cockroaches ?? The next day, I came back to the room to take a shower and there was no electricity in the bathroom anymore.
I asked for compensation because the price I paid was completely disproportionate to the state of the facilities. The receptionist was friendly and offered to move me to a private room (in the hotel section), but the problems continued: when I opened the bathroom door, I once again found cockroaches. Moreover, the humidity doesn’t seem to evacuate properly, and there’s a nauseating smell inside. The lock on the door leading from the room to the hallway doesn’t work. The finishing of the construction work is terrible, nothing is right.
In short, my advice is : do not come to this hotel.
