Hotel berhampiran Jalan Barat, Yangshuo

Outstanding boutique hotel situated in the most beautiful spot by the Yulong River with breathtaking views in all four directions! We like how the style of the hotel reflects and complements the natural beauty of the area. There are abundant amenities and plenty of activities to pursue just around the property. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy the beautiful pristine Shanshui of Guilin uninterrupted. We travelled with our extended family of 7 and everybody had a great time (especially our 2yo). The hotel is very kids friendly and the staff are wonderful. The swimming pool is immaculate and well equipped. We were also happily surprised by the quality of the food provided at the hotel. The ingredients were local and super fresh and the beer fish was very tasty. We ended up eating most of our lunches and dinners at the hotel. The room itself is gorgeous. We woke up everyday bathing in the morning sun with unobstructed views of the breathtaking Shanshui along the Yulong river! If you wake up early and go to the top floor, you will be rewarded with a special bonus! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Yangshuo and Xishi Jinshe!

Incredibly welcoming staff. Extra shoutout to Rita! Even though we stayed for only one night, we felt very seen and the staff did their utmost to help us out including booking activities for good rates. All the staff spoke very good English. The room itself was very fresh and big. The design was sophisticated and nice. The view outside from our room was impressive. If we come back to Yangshou, we will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you for making our stay very comfortable! Happy that we chose your hotel.

The minshu is located within walking distance to the picturesque Yulong River and Ten Mile Painting tour area, super convenient. What I like most of this accommodation is their personal service. Their staff is always there taking care of us- with your info, and helping with luggages and booking. They don't charge commission in booking show for us, e. g. Siu Tao is the best, a natural in service industry. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Honestly if I could give 11/10 I would. The room, amenities & cleanliness were fantastic. The views of the mountains/ river were gorgeous and the grounds were very well maintained with wood carvings and eclectic touches of modern & traditional Chinese design. But for us what really put it over the edge was the friendliness, warmness and helpfulness of the staff who really went above and beyond. I could not recommend this hotel enough and will be top of my list if I’m ever back in Yangshuo. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dari tingkap, gunung-ganang kelihatan seperti lukisan dalam bingkai. Tiada hiruk-pikuk pelancong, hanya kabus pagi, senja dan kadang-kala rakit buluh yang hanyut. Menghirup kopi di teres bumbung sambil melihat puncak-puncak bukit diwarnai emas oleh matahari terbenam. Sungguh nyaman, rasa bahagia dapat berlama-lama di sini. Tanpa perlu keluar dari bilik berhawa dingin pun, rasa macam dah lihat seluruh Yangshuo. Tidak perlu tergesa-gesa melawat tempat-tempat tarikan, ”membuang” masa begini sahaja sudah cukup sempurna!

Room: The room is so spacious. Each room seems to have its own tub. The room is so clean and spacious, I have no complaints. I slept so well. What takes it over the top is that there is an adapter which can take most types of international plugs. The washrooms are so nice and luxe. The shower is perfect. You feel like royalty every time you step into the washroom. Amenities: - The whole estate is so large, with diverse sections, each beautifully built. The whole layout is incredible and beautifully designed. - The pool against the backdrop of the majestic mountains and the sound of nature, especially the birds, is amazing. - There is an outdoor laundry room. I really love that it is an indoor-outdoor vibe. - There is a really cool treehouse and near it are exotic birds you can see up close - There is a bonfire you can use every night and cook sweet potatoes which they provide..amazing - There are scooters right in their parking lot you can rent at any time - There is a respective Western and Chinese restaurant serving diverse foods and drinks (including alcoholic). Not only are the foods amazing, the hot Americano is just as good. The Staff: - The owner and staff are all phenomenal people. They are so friendly, welcoming, hospitable, and helpful. They made me feel right at home. - They were so attentive to my needs at any moment. I am truly so grateful to each and every one. The Location: There is not much to say here because the view speaks for itself. But it's also close to a ”downtown” which is the Xingping Ancient Town. You can get there by renting a scooter for cheap with the help of the staff here. By scooter it only takes 15-20 minutes depending on your skill level. There are so many activities you can do in in Yangshuo, and the guesthouse can help arrange any of them. I really appreciate the pamphlet they send out which immediately gives an overview of what activities you can do and they can help you with any of them! Overall: This place is phenomenal. It is perfect for families, solo travelers, business travelers, couples, and all different travelers. It has everything you need. A Western restaurant, Chinese restaurant, both of which serve amazing food and various types of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). You can rent scooters right outside the building. There is a laundry room. There are even exotic birds in the garden! There is a treehouse, there is a pool, all enveloped by a majestic mountainous landscape. There is plenty of space to get your work done if you are a business traveler, but if you want to cruise around and explore, you can do so on foot or on scooter. If you don't want to find places to eat, the food here is right here for breakfast, lunch, and dinnner. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, hospitable, and helpful in every aspect. They are really amazing people I won't forget!! I loved it so much here that I extended my stay here! Incredible value. You won't regret booking this guesthouse!!!

Before we even arrived, the butler reached out via Wechat and helped us organize everything. She got us discounted tickets, took us to the locations, and solved everything promptly. For foreigners, this is especially useful as the location is a bit remote and information can be hard for find. Thank you Viv and Yalina! The hotel is beautiful, divided into 8 buildings, but drivers are allocated to help move around and also into the city for free. They also help with booking taxis if you get stuck (like we did after Ruyi peak when we couldn’t get Didis anymore) The pool is nothing extra however. You can take nice pictures, but that’s it. The laundry ‘room’ is basically two machines in a tight space, not at all on level with the rest of the establishment. The photography session is a nice add-on, because it wouldn’t be worth the money 😅 The props are old and weird, not exactly resembling the aesthetic pictures you see online. The ladder to heaven has paint peeling left and right and the Hobbit houses had some brightly coloured dolls in front.

The hotel advertises as having an all-year-round open pool and it's not true. During our stay at the end of April with maximum temperatures above 30°C there was no pool to cool off, and the staff told us it was because it was still too early in the year. This was very disappointing as having a pool was the main reason for our choice of hotel, so I'd say this hotel didn't meet our expectations and they should state this clearly on Trip to avoid future confusion of guests. Other things to improve are the storage space in the rooms (there's barely any room to place suitcases etc) and the soundproofing (we were woken up several days by loud guests at 7am or earlier). On the positive side, the beds were comfortable (average hardness of mattress for westerners standards) and the shower was the best we've had in our whole trip through China: very modern, with good water pressure and no fluctuating temperature. The room thermostat worked really well and the hotel has some nice amenities for guests to use such as tea, massage chairs (a bit worn out but still working) and a vintage game console. The staff helped us with luggage, gave us information and even a small present at the end of our stay, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel is in a quieter part of town, ideal for sleeping but still close enough to streets with lots of restaurants, cafes etc (try Heytea in west street if you can!). Overall it's been good value for money, although the hotel could do some clean up/refurbishment work and the pool availability should be advertised accurately.

We stayed at New West Street International Hotel for total of 10 nights as we accompanied our child at a nearby Chinese school in the summer. This extended time gave us the opportunity to really got to experience the hotel facilities, the food, and the service.  First the location.The actual location is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the actual West Street. To us, the distance is actually a good thing. Food, shops, and amenities at West Street are overly tailored for tourists. The hotel location is quiet and peaceful. Nearby are many local restaurants and shops that we much preferred. In fact, we found ourselves walking away from the West Street direction to get some great local foods everyday of our stay. That said, the hotel offers an excellent shuttle service beginning at 3:30pm until late at night if that's what you are into.  Second, the hotel building itself is in excellent condition. It appears many of the facilities and rooms were recently renovated. The lobby is open and airy and makes a comfortable gathering spot for us to meet our friends before heading out. The hotel sometimes accommodates tour groups. Even when we see as many as three tour buses parked in the back, the hotel does not feel congested nor noisy. The room itself is tastefully updated with a large flat screen TV, USB-C chargers, and automated curtains. The beds were comfortable and our balcony room faced a beautiful karst mountain and a nearby pond. The room appears to have great noisy insulation. We did not hear our neighbors like we did in other Chinese hotels. Third, the place is always clean. We see staff cleaning public areas all the time, wiping down handrails, elevator buttons, countertops. etc. As for our room, the home keeper always kept it clean and orderly. We had some problems with smell the first day. A housekeeper came and troubleshoot the problem to durian smell in the mini-fridge. Not only did she wipe it down, but even without us asking, the later came back with another mini-fridge to make sure no smell was left. That really made an impression on us. Next, the staff. Everyone we encountered was always friendly and greeted us. From the cleaning staff to the front desk reception to the restaurant waiters. Everyone was friendly. We can only speak limited mandarin but the staff still talked to us best they could in English. Rachel, the manager on site, was especially friendly to make sure we got everything we needed. She understands we were staying for an extended period of time so she was always asking what can be improved for our long stay. The hotel added us to WeChat where they respond quickly to all the typical requests like room service to sending us extra water. I wish more hotels do this.  Finally, the facilities. We used the laundry room daily. There are 5 washers and 3 dryers by my count. Most of the time, I can find an empty machine to wash my laundry. Mornings are best for doing laundry. After dinner time is the busiest time. We occasionally had to take out other people's laundry that were just sitting there but it's rare. The pool is large, warm, and clean. The shallow end is perfect for kids or just wading around. The deep end is 1.7M deep so it's plenty for actual swimming. We also used the on-site travel agent to book a private transfer to the Guilin high speed station. Rachel happened to be nearby when we did this and she helped with some translation with the agent and it was very appreciated. The restaurant was large and there was always space for us to sit even when there are large tour groups. It offers mainly Chinese options but also have some Western items. Food was abundant and delicious. The Guilin rice noodles in the back is tasty and the broth is excellent. The only thing is the coffee could be a little bit better! We loved our stay at the New West Street International Hotel and would not hesitate to go back next time we visit Yangshuo. 

Siamo stati benissimo al Riverview Hotel, l’hotel è nuovo e molto curato, la lobby spaziosa, confortevole e accogliente. La nostra camera era perfetta con piccolo balcone vista fiume e tutto lo spazio per poter sistemare le valigie. Lenzuola e asciugamani pulitissimi, cambiati ogni giorno. E poi il personale e il servizio perfetti. Con lo staff super disponibile e pronti ad aiutarci per qualsiasi richiesta, in particolare Cindy, davvero premurosa e attenta a supportarci per le nostre richieste e bisogni. Sono venuti a prenderci al parcheggio dove ci aveva lasciato il taxi per aiutarci con i bagagli. Cindy ci ha aiutati a noleggiare gli e-scooter (che ci ha fatto consegnare direttamente in hotel), ci ha spiegato dove ritirare i biglietti per lo spettacolo Impression che avevamo acquistato online, ci ha dato tutte le indicazioni utili perché potessimo goderci al meglio la zona e visitare i punti più interessanti. Non abbiamo fatto la colazione né abbiamo provato il loro ristorante che però pare essere molto molto buono, in conoensso abbiamo preso molti caffè (espresso e caffè latte) ed erano perfetti. Unica nota da segnalare: le scale e i corridoi hanno la moquette (ma non le camere) e manca l’ascensore, tuttavia non è un problema con i bagagli perché hanno un montacarichi interno e li consegnano direttamente in camera senza alcuno sforzo per il cliente. Devo dire che la nostra esperienza è stata fantastica, in una struttura con il calore e l’accoglienza di un piccolo albergo ma un servizio concierge da 5 stelle lusso. Lo consiglio vivamente, soprattutto per viaggioatori occidentali abituati a un certo standard di comfort e pulizia.
