Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. It was clean and comfortable. Really loved the breakfast in the buffet with a view. Staff are professional, polite and enjoyed my overall stay at this hotel because of the excellent service. Highly recommend for business travelers.

The hotel staff is very friendly and they were willing to help us around the hotel and even recommend spots for us to visit. The hotel is very cheap but it is very clean. The only issue is that it doesn’t have an elevator so it might not be suitable for those who are a bit older. Overall it’s a great place for travelling with friends and very close to the train station.

Ein- und Auschecken problemlos.
Nur das Frühstück war wirklich sehr mager, die Brötchen alles Andere als lecker… Wurst genau 2 Sorten und davon schon um 8 nur noch spärlich was von vorhanden.

We were greeted with the friendly front desk staff & got an early check in to the room 🫶🏻 Lucky enough to get a connecting room (perfect for family stay) after requesting for one. Room was spacious enough however they don't provide amenities like room slipper and toothbrush nor mineral water. Our room is city view hence it was a tad bit noisy at night. Apart from that, everything is perfect.
The breakfast provided was served with an array of selections which really make our stomach happy.

I stayed at Generator Mitte in Berlin and overall the experience was okay, but the room was far too small for four people — it felt really cramped. There were also no hairdryers available to use, which was inconvenient. On Saturday night there was a party in the hotel, and it was extremely loud; we couldn’t sleep until it was over. The location is great, but the comfort and noise levels definitely need improvement.

Hotel location was good, a variety of great restaurants are nearby as well as supermarkets/convenience stores. Staff were very helpful. The room's TV had an English news channel available which I really appreciated. The main suggestion I will make is it would be good to have a chain lock on the door to give added peace of mind.

LLeah LewComfy bed and great water pressure shower. Somehow thw room cleanliness so so eapecially the carpet looks dirty. The rest are ok. They have welcome cookies when chck in. As for those whos driving, parking inside cost euro35/day elae u can park at he street (10pm -9am free)

Walk 7 minutes in one direction and you are at Checkpoint Charlie. Walk 10 mins in the other direction and you are at the Mall of Berlin. Walk 20 mins in another direction and you are in the Museum area of Berlin. Loads of restaurants, supermarkets and stores right next door to the apartment. Wonderful location. Can walk everywhere, plus the subway station is right outside.
Room
Large. Clean. It's a studio apartment, so in one room you will have your bed, sofa, coffee table, desk, wardrobe and TV. Then in another room you will have your kitchen and another room is your bathroom.
Bedroom
Bed is comfortable, but for some reason, despite having a 1 double bed, the duvets supplied were for 2 single beds, rather than one big bed.
Plug sockets near the beds are useful, but they are not VERY near, but close enough.
The room is large and clean.
The TV is small and because of the size of the room, it's almost hard to see. Yes it's on a wheeled table so you can bring it closer to the bed, but the power cord limits the range of movement. It is a Smart TV though so you can cast your android phone to it. Not iOS
There is a balcony area with tables and chairs which is nice.
The AC is wall mounted as if it was a TV. It did cool the room which is surprising as the room is big.
Bathroom
Super clean. Towels and such changed daily. It's a bathtub with a shower combined. And now I am going to be SUPER picky when I say this......do NOT let this impact your decision to stay here or not, but the water pressure is good but not great. But that may be because I like to feel like the water is really shooting at my skin. Also, the shower head holder kept sliding down. Annoying, ever so slightly, but not a deal breaker
Kitchen
So useful. It's a large kitchen with a fridge plus freezer. Induction hob with 2 rings. Sink, dishwasher. Plates, bowls, cups, tea saucers and cups, cutlery, cooking pots, frying pans, utensils for them, cutlery for eating, kitchen knives, tea towels, sieves... all great and all provided. There was one review that said it only offered 1 plate set.... we had several and it was very very useful.
Laundry
The apartment has a laundry room. 3 washing machines, 3 drying units, an ironing board and good steam iron. Even the powder is provided and having a laundry room was super useful. It's on -1 floor of the West side of the building.
Breakfast
The breakfast room, on the 8th floor does have an amazing view, and the room is lovely - everything is white with stone-coloured chairs, super clean... as if designed by Apple
It's a half-buffet style, cereal, pastry, cheese, and cured meats are all help yourself. Eggs, tea and coffee are on request. I didn't like this. The staff are wonderful and very polite and well trained, but, for me, I prefer less interaction and would have preferred a full buffet-style where I can help myself to whatever I wanted without having to ask.
Gym and Sauna
Also on the 8th floor. The gym has wonderful views, there is a seated bike, treadmill, rowing machine, weight bench and some dumbbells. Max weight was 10kg for the dumbbells so really its more of a cardio room.
Service.
We arrived around 11pm, but reception is not open. You have to scan a QR code, fill in all your details, upload a photo of your passport.... then wait after it successfully registers you you can open the doors. Or you can pop into the security office where the guy will hand you a key. Much easier, but you are not explicitly told.
But, the service is good here. Everyone is very polite, very helpful, all speak English. Cannot fault them at all. Just wish the reception was 24 hours
The location is great, the room is large and clean, the laundry room is useful and the gym and breakfast room have great views. It is expensive which is the only hesitant thing about returning here, but it is comparable in price to other similar hotels but here you get a much larger room with a kitchen. Great stay!

From a ”red carpet” rolled out in the hallways in line with their theme, to a handwritten welcome card with Bulow candy (Yum!), pictograms next to the light buttons, and lights that go on automatically when entering the room and give you 30 seconds to find the key card holder.

We tried ordering room service but we didn’t have a way to do it and when we called reception they basically told us to just look in the room for the menu. We only had a breakfast one. I arrived at the hotel AT 21 PM, which was supposed to be the standard check-in time. To my surprise, there was absolutely nobody at the reception desk. I stood there waiting, thinking someone would appear in a minute.. After a while staff member finally came out from a back office. They looked a bit stressed or overwhelmed.The check-in process itself was rushed and cold.
Coffee in the room – horrible
Another big downside was the in-room coffee. The hotel provides instant powdered coffee – the cheap, soluble type that comes in a small sachet. I made a cup hoping for a decent morning coffee, but it was truly horrible. The taste was artificial, bitter, and had absolutely no real coffee flavour. It honestly tasted like chemicals. In my opinion, a hotel charging these rates should definitely offer capsule coffee (like Nespresso or a compatible system). Powdered coffee is outdated, low-quality, and leaves a terrible impression on guests who appreciate a good cup of coffee to start the day. This is a small detail that makes a big difference. I ended up going out to a nearby café to buy real coffee.
THE POSITIVE POINTS
Cleanliness – excellent
On the positive side, I have to say that the cleanliness of the room was impeccable. The bed sheets were crisp, white, and spotless. The bathroom was perfectly clean – no hair, no dust, no stains. The floors were well swept and mopped. It's clear that the housekeeping staff takes their job seriously and does an excellent job. I felt very comfortable in terms of hygiene and tidiness.
The room itself – fine
The room was fine. It wasn't luxurious or particularly stylish, but it was perfectly acceptable for a short stay. The bed was comfortable enough, the TV worked well, the Wi-Fi connection was stable, and the air conditioning functioned properly. There was enough space to move around and store my luggage. So for a basic, no-frills stay, the room met expectations.

PPengguna TetamuNice hostel, I stayed in a room to myself. The room didn’t have towels but they were available to lease with a cash-only deposit-along with hair blower. Location was far away from food places and Berlin in general. But if you’re looking for an affordable place to stay, this is it. The staff were great and friendly
