PPengguna TetamuFabulous setting up on a hill about a 20 min walk down to the town(definitely get a rickshaw back). Didn’t realise we could order eggs for breakfast until our second morning (not offered them on the first morning). Cake at breakfast was yummy.
Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned on arrival and there were splatters marks on the wall above the tea/coffee area. We also returned to our room late afternoon to find maintenance working on our balcony - did feel this could have been done after checkout!
Fabulous shower.
We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very good. The high taxes in Tamil Nadu added to the price (almost 25%) so bear this in mind . Cocktails weee excellent.
We did the morning ’hike’ which was well worth getting up for.
We were brought a hot water bottle on our second night which was a lovely surprise.
Tea & biscuits served between 5 & 5.30pm which was a nice touch although more of the breakfast cake would have been good.
Would recommend staying here as rooms, location & restaurant are excellent.

Not so good - the 2 bedroom suite had just one bathroom and the suits are in the middle of reception. No privacy in that sense.

We had booked the hotel for 4 nights, but due to an unexpected emergency, we had to check out one night early. Unfortunately, the hotel management did not provide any refund for the unused night, which amounted to approximately RMB 1,500 (around ₹20,000).
What disappointed me most was the management’s attitude regarding the cancellation request. I also submitted refund requests through Trip.com twice, but both were rejected.

No intercom nor any chairs to sit inside. But we setup a place right outside the room.
You have to phone the front desk for everything. Good parking and open spaces to play. Good was ok. Not bad. The receptionist guy was a bit grumpy.
Apart from that nice chill place .!!

PPengguna TetamuOrchid Square has given us lovely memories of Coonoor. It was comfortable, clean and the food was excellent. However it was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that really helped to make our experience here a very good one. The restaurant staff in particular showed good humour. The hotel helped with transport. The wifi connection was good. It was peaceful and our room was spacious with lots of extras like tea/coffee, shampoo/ hairdryer.
The only downside was the distance into town, needing a tut-tut, about 10-15mins travel time. However, we had peace and quiet.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel services were excellent top notch. The staff were professional, provided me with a lot of extra services with no additional cost, rooms were clean. And most importantly the location is absolutely great. Just beside the botanical garden i had some amazing experiences. The only con is the room size is too small and i mean it. It's so small if you keep your luggage on the floor you won't be able to walk properly. This can be a major issue to a lot of people

PPengguna TetamuThe stay ar the welcome heritage fernhills palace ooty was excellent. Right from the welcome to the rooms to the service everything was top notch. I would like to add that make my trip never disappoints. However i just have one concern regarding the car and the driver. The driver otherwise was extreme cooperative but did not understand tamil or english and was comfortable only with malayalam. Overall it was a very nice experience, apart from the car and the driver.
