"Had an absolutely wonderful anniversary stay here from 17th–19th April 2026. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and extremely well maintained. A special thanks to Monica from Guest Relations for her incredible hospitality — she truly made our stay extra special with her warmth, care, and amazing recommendations for local cafes and authentic shopping spots. The chefs were equally amazing and prepared delicious Jain meals and breakfasts specially for us throughout our stay. We also loved the evening tea tasting sessions and cozy bonfires — already missing them! Overall, a perfect experience and one of the most memorable stays we’ve had. Highly recommended to everyone visiting Ooty. Will definitely visit again!"

"Overall, everything was good except for one issue. We had booked the hotel for 4 nights, but due to an unexpected emergency, we had to check out one night early. Unfortunately, the hotel management did not provide any refund for the unused night, which amounted to approximately RMB 1,500 (around ₹20,000). What disappointed me most was the management’s attitude regarding the cancellation request. I also submitted refund requests through Trip.com twice, but both were rejected. le the stay itself was satisfactory, the lack of flexibility and customer support in handling an emergency situation left a very negative impression."

It is at a very good location and was just the unwinding experience needed. Courteous staff in the property and smooth reservation experience, where Mohammed Mateen was v helpful with hiccups also. One point which needs improvement is food - variety wise in buffet as well as menu options expansion, which they said was temporary. Also few things from the limited menu were not available. Rest no improvement points, definitely a must stay"

The property is situated in limited land with less space for parking. And the property doesnt have much space to roam around. The view from all rooms are good. "So we stayed for one night, and it was ok, but the rooms just felt dingy, they had bars on the windows and were very small. The toilet seat was broken. The pool wasn't that clean. You had to order food and they brought it to your room or a very small dining room. I think this could be a beautiful little hotel, but they seem to have just concentrated on the pool area and nothing else. It's in a beautiful area surrounded by tea plantations and nature, and it would have been amazing to eat a nice dinner out looking over the views. Also, there seemed to be one girl doing everything (she was lovely though). We booked a mountain view room, but apparently got upgraded to a "pool view" I would rather have looked at the lovely surroundings than lots of plastic. Sorry sandalo."

"I was travelling with my husband and 3 year old kid for 2 nites to Ooty and booked this villa....Worst experience for paying for a such a huge amount ..... Coordinator was pathetic... Location was extremely inside, we actually requested police *** to allow us in that area....... Cleanliness, hygiene and room condition was pathetic.... Washroom was stinking bad, no toiletries , glass was dirty.... Flies inside the room.... AC was not working... Room was claustrophobic cz no ventilation no proper fans system ..... My kid was sweating whole nite cz no fans or AC ... We spoke to coordinator Ms. ANU immediately but she said she will fix it tomorrow and we need to adjust tonite.... we asked her if still the AC is not working than she said ...We told her that we will stay here tonite and request you to refund the 2nd nite amount ... She SAID said it's NON REFUNDABLE....she can only do the favour of refunding 1k as amount we paid 16k for two nites... We told her it will not be possible to stay as my we are not comfortable with the room condition... ANU said it's our choice but AMOUNT IS NOT REFUNDABLE.... We checkout from this villa immediately next morning... I am suprise that such people or villas chains are working here were GUEST are told TO ADJUST even though we are paying for it. We told her that we will put the consumer fraudulent case on ANU and villa farms to make sure NO OTHER CUSTOMERS are fooled around........"

Front desk was efficient and gave great local tips, specially Ms Monica, Restaurant staff served with a smile and remembered our preferences. Housekeeping was prompt and the rooms were spotless daily. Rooms are spacious with heaters, 24/7 hot water, and cozy beds – ideal for Ooty weather. Food was fresh and delicious, with excellent South Indian breakfast and multi-cuisine dinner options. Quiet location away from the market crowds, yet only a short drive to main attractions. "We had booked two rooms at Sterling Elk Hill for a weekend stay. During the booking process, there was no option to select or upgrade to a room with a view. However, upon arrival, we were told that since we hadn't booked a "view room," nothing could be done, which was both disappointing and unfair. To make matters worse, despite arriving at check in time, we were asked to wait for nearly an hour because the rooms were not ready. Eventually, we were allotted two rooms on different floors, as adjacent rooms were apparently unavailable. Both rooms overlooked poor views, and when we requested an alternative, every staff member simply passed the responsibility. Nobody took ownership or made any genuine effort to resolve the issue. The repeated response was, "You didn't book a view room." Had that option been available while booking, we certainly would have chosen it. While waiting, we were asked to have lunch at the restaurant. We initially wanted to order à la carte, but the waiter recommended the buffet, saying it would be more economical. That turned out to be a mistake. The buffet was chaotic, the food was ice cold, there was virtually no table service, and the overall dining experience was extremely poor. I called the restaurant manager to point out that the buffet food was cold. He listened, apologized briefly, and walked away as though this was a routine complaint. There was no attempt to fix the issue or even check back with us. In fact, none of us could finish the buffet because of its poor quality. The biggest disappointment wasn't the rooms or the food. It was the complete lack of accountability and service recovery. Hospitality is about taking ownership when things go wrong, and unfortunately, that was missing throughout our stay. Based on our first impressions, I am genuinely concerned about what to expect for the remainder of our stay."
