Hotel berhampiran Stesen Fudoin-mae, Hiroshima

Among the best 3 stars hotel I stayed in Japan so far. The front counter service staff is friendly, courteous and attentive. Location is quite central and a close walk to Atomic Bomb  Dome, Peace Garden and museum. Also, very convenient to get to Hotel and back to Hiroshima Station via street car 1, 2 & 6. The best highlight is the shower room, almost perfect.

Initially we booked the wrong night by mistake. I immediately had sent letter to the host, just 2 minutes after that mistake. And at first, host said, that they would refund without any problems, but after that he turned down our ask for refund and offered only date change, which was the problem, because the price was 2.5x more on the dates, that we needed and we would never stay at the place so expensive. In the end we had to make additional payment to stay for only one night, just to not loose the first money transfer. And host refused to talk about why he changed his initial position and what is wrong with the refund 2 months prior to the stay. Even that we had assured him, that it was really a mistake (confused ”mar” and ”may” in the app) and sent him our plane tickets,. He also told us, that he can't give us refund, because he prepared the room and because of the booking he couldn't rent room to another person and lost money, which I find highly unlike, since the first response from him was very quick and the wrong booking was made 2 hours before midnight, so it's very unlikely, that someone else would rent it. Overall, I don't think that it could be considered as hospitality. The place itself is nice, if booked for an appropriate price. Don't expect luxury, but a simple, spacious room with a balcony and a view on the road and trees.

During my trip to Japan, one of the most memorable experiences was staying at a capsule hotel in Hiroshima. I'll admit I went in with low expectations — I imagined a tiny box barely big enough to squeeze into. But I was pleasantly surprised: the capsule was actually spacious, with enough room to sit up, stretch out, and relax comfortably. What really stood out, though, was the reception. The staff were incredibly welcoming — friendly, warm, and genuinely happy to help from the moment I checked in. It made the whole experience feel personal, not just efficient. Overall, staying in a capsule hotel completely changed the way I think about this kind of accommodation. It's compact, smartly designed, and surprisingly comfortable — definitely something I'd do again.

The location is superb. Near to Hiroshima station. We walked to the hotel, left the luggage there because we arrived way before check-in time and the off to explore Hiroshima city. We did leave our luggage after check out and went to Miyajima Island. So what I like most is the location and luggage storage!

This room is a bit cramp for 3 people with barely enough space to open 3 luggages. Overall, location is 8.5/10 considering it can be reached by local buses from Hiroshima station and it is near quite a few restaurants. There is also a 7-11 opposite the back entrance of the hotel. Will recommend those who want a no frills experience!

2km away from Hiroshima Station but accessible via a local bus no 50 to Takaramachi Kita Bus Stop (3 stops away). I love the room as it is sizeable by Japanese standard. The bathroom n toilet are separated on its own with a sliding door keeping it away fr the main bedroom. Its clean n service staff are super helpful.

Initially i wanted to book a hotel somewhere in the downtown. But the breakfast and the dinner here caught my eyes. Also the view of the inland islands. I stayed 2 nights here, I came from Fukuoka where my plane landed. The taxi fare from hiroshima station to the hotel is about 3000-3500 yen. There is free hotel shuttle bus but i did not take it. Also, there is public bus stopping right outside the hotel (which i found out later). Though the hotel is old, it is well kept and clean. The staff were very eager to assist the guests and there is always a smile on the face. I was given the 17th floor facing east. But the morning sun was too bright. Though it didnt matter much to me. Another reason i booked this hotel is they have speed boat counter for Miyajima island. I booked one way there as I have the JR pass for return and I have plans after. One way ticket from hotel to Miyajima is 2400 yen and return is 4500 yen. There is a convenience store in the hotel. But I believe they closes at 2200. Also, there is hot spring in the hotel. There is a usage charge for it, but i do not recall the price as i did not use. I went up to the bar on the 1st night. The view was great. Most importantly the price are reasonable too. For both days, i ate at the chinese restaurant for breakfast. 1st day was Japanese breakfast set. 2nd day was Japanese buffet style breakfast. They were delicious. The western and Japanese buffet breakfast at the top floor were very crowded. But they had more selections. For my return trip to Beppu, I used the concierge (bell desk) to send my big luggage to Fukuoka. The price was okay. I took the hotel shuttle bus go Hiroshima station. It was a pleasant ride. Do take note it is first come first serve and there’s a queue. I will stay here again, should I come back to Hiroshima. Thank you.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It’s right next to Peace Memorial Park, directly behind the museum, in a quiet and pleasant area. It’s about a 3–5 minute walk from the tram stop and around 5 minutes to the main shopping street. If you get this hotel at a good price and only plan a short stay focused on the Peace Park, the location is definitely a plus. The room itself, however, was extremely small. Seating was uncomfortable — only a small stool with no back, and in my case the screws were sticking out, making it unsafe and unpleasant to use. You are basically either on the bed or out of the room. The biggest issue was severe condensation and dampness. The room had extreme moisture problems — water running down the walls and windows, and the bed and floor becoming damp overnight. I woke up with wet feet and later realised why. This is not normal condensation; it was excessive and clearly an ongoing issue. I raised this with the front desk when checking out, but it was brushed off. After contacting Trip.com with photos and videos, the hotel refused responsibility once I had checked out. Trip.com eventually offered partial compensation, but the hotel itself showed no accountability. Because of this, I would not stay here again. I am not overly picky with hotels, but a damp room that can make guests sick is unacceptable. Also, I do not recommend the breakfast. You receive a very small bento box with unclear contents and a bottled tea. For the price, you are far better off going to a nearby convenience store like Lawson. Overall: great location, but poor room conditions and lack of responsibility from the hotel. There are better options in this area.

The hotel is decent overall and acceptable for a short stay. The room is small, which is expected, but functional and generally clean. One downside is the window, which faces directly the wall/facade of the neighboring building, so there is very little natural light and no real view. The location and services are okay but nothing special. An adequate option if you just need a basic place to sleep, without expecting comfort or atmosphere.

The hostel had a great location. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but you had your privacy. Toilets and shower were very clean. All in all a nice hostel to stay for 1 or two nights. For a longer stay I would recommend a different one because the beds weren’t that comfortable:))
