"Our stay was a mixed bag. On the plus side, the room was a decent size and the staff were kind, welcoming us with a complimentary drink. The 14th-floor reception also offers some lovely views of the city. However, there were a few notable downsides. Our room looked directly into a brick wall, which made it feel dark and a bit like a coffin, and the toilet unfortunately wasn't clean when we arrived. The room also lacked a mini-fridge, and because reception is located on the top floor, we experienced frequent and frustrating delays waiting for the lifts. It's a fine, decent enough place for a short stay, but there's definitely room for improvement."

"Everything about this hotel is excellent. The room is slightly dated but very well kept, nice view overlooking the city. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Their pyjamas are some of the best I’ve ever worn. They have a guest-exclusive lounge on top floor which offers refreshments throughout the day (with a really nice view)."

"A great stay, full of memorable moments. The hotel is very well located, close to the main points of interest. There is also a convenience store right next door, as well as a very good restaurant open 24/7 and really affordable (under 1,000 yen). The room was also very nice, clean, and comfortable, and the welcome was friendly. Highly recommended!"

"Very grand hotel, dated in the age of build. Very clean bathroom and beds. Amazing, grand entrance way. Very close to sightseeing areas and local sighseening bus stops. Excellent view of the city. Lots of personal amenity provided (toothbrush etc). Access to gym/fitness centre is additional (substantial) costs. Lovely staff with excellent English."

"We got to the hotel around 10:30am after checking out of the hotel on the Riverside. It was raining so we wanted to stay indoors so the hotel staff helped to take the luggage so that we could get our lunch outside. After finishing our lunch, we still had a lot of time left before the check-in time but since it was raining, we just stayed inside the lobby using wifi. We got the room on the 5th floor even when we requested to get the high floor since the hotel was fully booked. We were so tired when we got inside the room so we freshened up but the noise from upstairs was pretty bad. We didn't mind the noise at first but it kept on continuing throughout the night. I woke up around 2am because of the loud noise, thumping sound like someone walking but who would do that at that time. It also happened early in the morning. We had another 4 night booking at the same hotel."

"We had the best stay ever in this hotel with its sumptuous breakfast buffet offering Hiroshimas’ food delicacies and has variety of food selection from Japanese to western style food menu. The best location and accessible and walking distance to many places like shopping district and Atomic Bomb Dome."

"Very good location. Includes breakfast with lots of options, bakery, Japanese food an fruits and salads. Room was big enough for 2 people we didn’t feel very cramped."

"Lovely stay in Hiroshima. It’s only a few stops away from the main train station and offers breakfast for free in the main floor (7-10am) which was very convenient. The rooms felt spacious after tokyo and the beds were confortable. Recommendable if you are staying more than one night or plan on having a late night around nakaregawa dori."

"The room was generally clean although there were a couple stains on the couch. The room was quiet which was a plus after a long day of sightseeing. We didn't use the onsen - but thought it was a good amenity to have on site. The room items (toiletries) were kept at the front desk, which helped limit the amount taken by certain guests overtaking products. We thought the location was decent, but still far from the station and the peace memorial park. We would stay here again as the value was decent for what we paid."
