The direction from minatomirai station to hotel wasn’t clear, resulting we have to walk one big round to the hotel. After seeking staff advise, we then know the correct way. The room and toilet was big and spacious. The bathroom has separate bathtub, shower room and toilet which we like it. The room has balcony which has a very good view of the sea and amusement park. It is just 5 mins walk to the amusement park, cup museum and world’s porta shopping mall with a lot of anime figurines and claw machine. It’s a good time to take a break before heading to Tokyo. From our room, we can even see both Tokyo tower and skytree. The staff are helpful and there is even luggage delivery service which I had arranged and paid a fee to have it delivered to my Tokyo hotel. Highly recommended this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The location is incredibly convenient, especially for travelers looking to explore Yokohama or needing easy access to Tokyo. Being right next to Tsurumi Station makes it incredibly easy to get around without relying too much on taxis or long walks. The room itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Though not overly spacious, it made efficient use of space, ensuring a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. What stood out most was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of both Japanese and Western options, which was a great way to start the day. If I had to find any fault, it would be that the hotel is located in a quieter part of Yokohama, which might not suit everyone's taste. However, for me, it added to the charm and made for a peaceful retreat after busy days of sightseeing. Overall, I highly recommend the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi for its comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. It offers excellent value for money and is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the Yokohama area.

Dear InterContinental Yokohama Grand Team, Thank you for an overall pleasant stay during our recent visit. We genuinely enjoyed our time at the hotel and appreciated many thoughtful touches. While there were a few service moments that could have been better, there were also several staff members whose kindness made our stay memorable. First, we would like to recognize the team members who positively impacted our experience: • The check-in associate who proactively offered a late check-out even though we were not enrolled in the membership program. A thoughtful gesture that created a strong first impression. • The housekeeping team for preparing our room with a towel cake, brownie treats, and a birthday card. These touches made the celebration extra special. • The restaurant hosts who warmly guided us to our table and accommodated our request for window seating. • The bell desk associate who kindly lent us two umbrellas when we asked. A simple but meaningful act. These gestures truly reflected genuine hospitality. 1. Setting Expectations and Initiative On April 15, we returned to our room around 12:45 PM and saw housekeeping was still servicing it. We fully understand and appreciate their work. After waiting around 25 minutes in the lobby, the room was still occupied, so I asked the front desk for an estimate. I was simply told cleaning usually takes 30 minutes. This felt like a missed opportunity to show initiative. It would have been more reassuring if the staff member had contacted housekeeping to confirm the actual status or remaining time. 2. Breakfast Service Warmth During breakfast on both mornings, plates were often removed without asking permission or informing us first. A simple “May I clear this?” would feel more courteous. When coffee was offered, the tone often felt flat, and when declined, staff would walk away without acknowledgment. Even a simple “Certainly, enjoy your breakfast” would create a warmer interaction. We also witnessed another guest ask a staff member to smile, first in Japanese then in English, followed by a supervisor apologizing. It was uncomfortable to witness and showed how one interaction can affect the atmosphere. 3. Room Access / Attention to Detail This was the most concerning matter. On our last day, we confirmed with the front desk that check-out was 12:00 PM. When we returned around 11:15 AM, we were surprised to find our room door open with the Do Not Disturb sign outside. We do not recall placing the sign or leaving the door open. Guest Services apologized, and the Assistant Manager of Housekeeping personally came to apologize as well, which we appreciated. Both asked if our belongings were intact, which was the right response. However, the explanation remained unclear, and during check-out the front desk seemed unaware of the incident until I explained it again. Better internal communication would help in situations like this. Final Thoughts We are not requesting compensation. We simply wanted to share constructive feedback, as fellow hospitality professionals, because we believe these moments affected an otherwise enjoyable stay. No hotel operation is perfect, and we fully understand that lapses can happen. We also wanted to ensure the excellent staff members who made positive impressions are recognized. Had a very comfortable experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and able to communicate well in English, which made the stay much easier for travelers. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. I also appreciated the free water dispenser on every floor and ice maker available outside the lobby, which was very convenient. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay in Yokohama.

If you’re looking for a hotel near K-Arena, this one is absolutely worth considering. The location is excellent, situated in a business district with plenty of restaurants available during the daytime. There’s a 7-Eleven on the first floor, which is very convenient, although it closes at 11:00 PM. After around 9:00 PM, it can be a bit difficult to find late-night food nearby. However, the vending machines offer options like takoyaki and pork teriyaki rice, which are helpful for a quick late-night meal. The room is spacious enough for two people and offers a great view. The bathroom is large and separated from the toilet, which makes it more comfortable to use. Amenities are available at the lobby for guests to pick up, and they provide everything you might need—cleansing oil, face wash, cotton buds, conditioner, shaving cream, shaving kits, and more. Pajamas are also provided in the room, and they are very comfortable. One of the highlights is the onsen located on the lobby floor, open until 1:00 AM. It’s perfect for relaxing after a long day of meetings or events. There is also a laundry area with washing and drying machines at a very affordable price. However, the dryer may not fully dry clothes even after 90 minutes, so keep that in mind. The lobby area is suitable for working late into the night. Wi-Fi is strong, and complimentary coffee and hot tea are available 24/7. The TV is excellent—Sharp 4K with good sound quality—perfect for watching your own Netflix content. Overall, a great stay, especially for business travelers or anyone attending events at K-Arena.

Great budget stay for the solo traveler! The place was always thoroughly clean and staff were friendly and helpful. It took some getting used to since it was my first time staying at a capsule hotel. For instance, no outside shoes in the capsule area: disposable slippers are provided once you arrive, so switch to those affter putting down your luggage. If you need an extra pair, you can grab one at the front desk. Also, your locker key has a QR code attached, so that you can scan to enter the capsule, locker, and shower areas. I kept forgetting to walk with it just going to the locker room, which you need the QR code to access! Thankfully, other guests would open the door for me since we shared the same space. One thing to note is the cleaning time between 11 AM and 3 PM: the capsules are unusable since they change the sheets, make the beds, etc., so it's best to be out in the city exploring or down in the lobby. Any bottles you leave in front of your capsule might be considered trash when they clean, so if you want to keep your drinks, keep them in the locker. If you have several personal items on your bed inside the capsule, depending on what it is, they may not enter to change the bedding, etc. so keep that in mind. They also provide sleepwear, disposable toothbrush and mini toothpaste, bath and hand/face towels in a small bag that they replace each day! There are proper places to return used sleepwear and towels (large laundry bags are clearly marked), same with trash disposal. There is a shower area with separate stalls. Many people tend to shower at night, so if you don't want to wait, it's best to shower before the cleaning time in the morning, or before 10 PM. Some girls would shower (and sometimes wash their hair), so it's common for many people to be in the showers late at night, even after midnight! Thankfully, there are small couches in this area, so no need to stand and wait. Also, the lockers are a bit tiny and narrow (see pic with disposable slippers), but I assume they are the standard for capsule hotels. They are the main storage for small items; luggage (like suitcases) is stored in an adjacent room. All in all, I would stay there again! Very close to Yokohama station, there are several restaurants, a few Family Marts and a Lawson's are within walking distance, as well as a mall called VIVRE with about 8 floors to browse.

First time in Japan, so I chose this hotel based on location and price, with my desire for higher floor rooms for a view. I stayed near Shinagawa station, and also in Osaka, all with the same budget per night. This hotel was the best of the 3, very nice facilities and amenities (7/11 in the lobby!!), with a spacious room. I'd probably pass on the buffet breakfast next time, but that's just me, there was a wide selection for everyone. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in that area.

Near convenience stores and supermarket. Also inside Chinatown where different food are offered. Walking distance from Motomachi Chukagai Station.

初めての予約だったので、入室するまで少し手間取る場面がありましたが、すぐに対応して頂いたので不都合はなかったです。宿泊料金が安いので、その分観光にお金をかける事が出来ました。近くにコンビニや飲食店、駐車場もあり快適でした。
