Hotel berhampiran Stesen Shikido, Oita

Exit from train station, turn right, walk out of the exit and you will see the entrance of the hotel on the right of the building at AMU. Lobby at level 8 while room from 9 onwards. Level 19 is the free onsen for guests. Breakfast was good local and western style. The washer and dryer not as good I think as after wash my clothing got a smell. Managed to rewash some at Kagoshima. Overall very convenient hotel as we used their trains to travel to Peppu to visit hells and Yokosuka to visit Harmonyland

Fast self check-in and check-out. A lot of parking areas if you prefer to drive in. Many restaurants you can choose nearby the hotel. We went to a hot springs center close by which is very clean and price is very reasonable.

今回の宿泊では、まずサービスの良さに感動しました。スタッフの皆さんがとても親切で、丁寧かつ温かい対応をしてくださり、安心して滞在できました。 ホテルの立地は駅からやや離れていますが、その分周囲がとても静かで、仕事や静かな時間を過ごしたい方にはぴったりです。 お部屋は広々としていて、ベッドもとても快適でよく眠れました。ただし、少し気になった点もあります。まず、上の階からの足音が響いてきて、防音があまり良くないと感じました。また、バスルームからなぜか古い排水のような臭いがしていたのが残念でした。 とはいえ、全体的にはコストパフォーマンスが高く、十分におすすめできるホテルです。静かな環境で快適に過ごしたい方には特におすすめです。

I stayed for 2 nights in early Jan 2025. The hotel was conveniently located at about 15 minutes walk from Oita station, and close to many shops, F&B outlets and also the castle ruins attraction. On the ground floor, there is also a cafe/eatery with pleasant staff that served simple yet delightful breakfast, as well as a Lawson convenience shop. The room was typical Japanese room, clean and decent. There was no form of cleaning provided, including any change of towels, for my room.

객실은 전형적이 비지니스 호텔이며 에어컨이 19도 맞춰놔도 안시원했어요;; 리셉션에 직원분있었고 당연하게 키오스크로 안내하는군요 다른곳은 체크인은 직접하고 체크아웃만 키오스크로안내하는데 여기는 체크인까지 키오스크네요 저는 일본장기 여행하는데 키오스크 몇번해봤다고 키오스크가 더편한듯합니다. 한국어,영어,중국어 다됨 요즘추새가 키오스크 설치하는건가봐요 가고시마.구마모토.미야자키 가는곳마다 다있습니다 위치는 정말좋고 평일이라그런가 조용했습니다 체크인.아웃혼자 다하고 방만제공하는데 5만원이 적당해보여요 그리고 엘레베이터 방향제 냄새 진짜 독하고 별로입니다

This is my second stay at Natural Hot Spring Ariston Hotel Oita, and it continues to be a comfortable and reliable choice. The natural hot spring remains the highlight—clean, relaxing, and especially soothing after a long day. Rooms are compact yet well-kept, with comfortable beds and everything needed for a pleasant stay. Cleanliness is consistently good, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and restful. The staff are polite and attentive, making the experience smooth and stress-free. Its convenient location near Oita Station is another reason I returned, with easy access to restaurants and convenience stores. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, offering a good start to the day. Overall: A dependable hotel I would happily return to again—great value for money, excellent onsen facilities, and a practical location for both business and leisure stays.

The hotel has a parking but can only fit in small cars. There's another parking about 5 minutes away. It was a bit disappointing that the toilet was not cleaned with stains. The good thing is they provide amenities. There are many restaurants nearby.

Strategic location, the hotel is about 700-800m from the train station. In Japan it’s known to have a small bed for hotel, but it’s a pleasant surprise to note the bed is bigger than the “norm”. Very comfortable. In the winter/cold temperature, the centralise airconds were all “set” to heater. When we made a “complain” on the stuff/warm room, they are kind to offer a stand fan to put in our room. A big thumb ups for the buffet, a good spread, clean and delicious.

Opinions from a female asian solo traveler. Around 10 mins walk from Oita station, acceptable distance to me. Have convenient stores in the area but not many restaurants, better go back to Oita station or Amu plaza oita for food. The front desk is very helpful. The hotel is a bit small and old but very clean and quiet. Particularly appreciate their shower water is hot enough. I stayed on the 4th floor and could hear street sounds occasionally but acceptable. Overall, affordable prices and needs are fulfilled.
