"Might be the worst hotel i've been to in Japan in terms of cleanliness and soundproofing (latter is actually non existent - you'll hear people talking and watching TV) - but the price was close to being free and location is extremely convenient. I won't chose this hotel next time, but if you sleep well and need a place to crush for a night - it's ok"
"The staff I came came across were all very polite and had welcoming smiles, no matter at the reception desk or the restaurant on 20/F. I enjoyed my stay here, but it felt comparable to the 3 star hotels, just slightly better especially thanks to the fabulous breakfast and location of breakfast…If hotels have half stars, i would think it’s’more of a 3.5 star hotel instead of a 4. I have a few suggestions which the hotel can look into to improve in the future.
3 Things to improve on:
1) I picked this hotel because I read other reviews saying the hotel is connected to a bridge from the Okayama station. This is true but unfortunately there were no signs in the station to guide travellers unlike another hotel like Granvia. Google suggested that I look for the west exit which I did, but I ended up being at the ground level hence had to bring big suitcase all the stairs…then I spotted the bridge and ANA crowne plaza from the street
2) cleanliness can be improved. There’s a UCC drip coffee machine in the room. I don’t drink coffee, and the box for the drip coffee selection was refilled. However I spotted a used capsule on the floor near the wall. The bin was not blocking the view, so the cleaners could’ve easily spotted the rubbish if they had been a little more careful and looked under the table when they have to clear out the rubbish bin anyway.
3) I sent a message to the hotel via TRIP.com. The message wasn’t replied promptly, as in within a few hours. Ultimately it didn’t matter anymore, I arrived at the hotel before somebody managed to reply me. Maybe it’s the system that’s problematic which may have caused a lag? Or staff only look at mails/messages when not too busy at the front desk?"
"Just stayed here one night but had a really good experience as arrived early but was easily able to leave luggage which was then in our room when we returned! Really nice and friendly staff, very comfortable stay."
"I think its really great. We had a room with bath(jacuzzi type). Not sure, but I have a feeling they made renovations. 65 Inch tv un bedroom and a smaller tv in the bathroom.
Everything was clean and breakfast was included(order in tablet and at the checkout let them know when you would like it)."
"Okayama is the capital city of its namesake prefecture, in western Japan. It’s known for the 16th-century Okayama Castle, dubbed “Crow Castle” for its black exterior, and for Korakuen, an iconic formal garden."
"Some of the facilities are a bit old, there is some weird smell from the room. The ventilation system is central air conditioning/ heater, the air conditioning may be a bit insufficient during hot days. Windows are available. However, there may be noises and people yelling from the bars nearby."
"Small hotel in center of city. Actually pretty good for money. Much better that described at other websites. Small rooms as usually in japan but with a bit of coziness"
"Via Inn Okayama was our 6th hotel on this journey, and its location honestly couldn’t have been better. Being directly connected to Okayama Station made everything very convenient — from getting around to grabbing daily necessities. There were even some supermarkets inside the station, which were super handy.
The lobby was on the 5th floor and already set the mood, with an amazing view overlooking the station and the city.
Our room was simple and comfortable, featuring a small double bed, a desk by the window, a chair, an air purifier, and a fairly new TV with YouTube and Netflix access — perfect for relaxing after a long day.
Space was a little tight when we opened our luggage, but it wasn’t a big issue. Even though the bathroom wasn’t very spacious, it still provided enough room to sit comfortably on the toilet, which we appreciated.
The real highlight was the view — an unblocked cityscape right from the room that made both mornings and nights extra special.
Convenient, comfortable, and memorable — Via Inn Okayama was a great stay right in the heart of the city."
"Sangat berpuas hati. Ia adalah malam yang paling memuaskan dalam perjalanan ini selain hotel air panas Hoshino Resorts. Biliknya besar dan serba lengkap. Lokasi hotel sangat bagus. Okayama adalah tempat yang patut dikunjungi lagi, baik untuk pemandangan dan sebagai peralihan alternatif ke bandar besar.Tempatnya sangat sesuai.semoga dapat menginap lagi di bilik ini😄"
"This was my second time staying at Abest Grande Hotel, and once again, the experience was excellent. The service is extremely good — all staff are very polite, welcoming, and always greet guests with a genuine smile.
We were offered a welcome drink upon arrival, which was a very nice touch. The staff were also very helpful in calling a restaurant on our behalf to assist with making a reservation, which we truly appreciated.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby transportation, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it a great base for exploring the city.
Overall, the hospitality made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of throughout the stay. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit."

BBrandorkslashdonThe main draw for me was the rooftop onsen; it’s not fancy but it is classic, which is good enough for me. A simple sauna, outdoor onsen, indoor one, cold plunge bath and a shower area. The room itself was compact but efficient and check in/out process was fairly simple. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the Okayama Shinkansen station so it was quite convenient to travel to other sites like Kurashiki Bikan
PPengguna TetamuOur stay at Hotel Granvia was exceptional. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and clean, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. What truly stood out, however, was the hospitality; the staff were remarkably kind and helpful, going out of their way to assist us. Combined with its convenient location, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone
PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is located 5 mins walk from Okayama station and it’s convenience if you go for day trip to Kurashiki. There is Aeon mall just 2 mins walk from hotel and there are a lot of shopping and dining there. In addition they have a big supermarket there. We booked a Moderate twin room and it’s spacious, however when cars passed-by a drain cover outside will make noise and it’s annoying plus you can hear noise when train pass-by. The hotel offer us to change to a smaller room which is facing the courtyard. Due to centrally control aircon, the rooms are very 🥵. If aircon can be self control will be much better
PPengguna TetamuHad good dinner , dinner last order at 830pm with 2 sets of choices , breakfast start at 630am buffet style, coffee machine out of order, female onsen need to get key from reception counter and use another lift to go up , washing machine is 300 yen and dryer 100yen , able to communicate with simple English. Near to Aeon mall. Okayama JR take East exit
PPengguna Tanpa NamaPerfect location, main station close by, convenience store just a couple minutes away. The room was also not too bad, though it wasn't entirely clean. Some dust haven't been cleaned, in mostly unnoticable places though, like really high up or behind the TV. And even though we haven't met any staff members it wasn't that hard to check in or check out. Though there was difficulty of getting inside the building, as we didn't receive the door code through email. Good thing there were some helpful residents of the hotel who helped us to get inside. Either way final score would be 8.5/10
SSassaengSmall room with less facility. I open a door and it is a bed with no space to put your belonging if your bag is large.
I love to walk to Aeon mall from this place 10 min and enjoy duscount food there.
