Hotel berhampiran Resort Pinnocchio, Won Ju

The Orchid Hotel was everything and more as described on their website and the reviews. I stayed in the superior room with 1 king bed which was very comfortable. The air conditioner is adjustable to your preference. The hotel was very clean, spacious, very friendly staff (24hr lobby staff)and in the perfect location. They provided robes, slippers, 2 bottled waters, clean towels daily. The bathroom has a bidet which is separate from the shower area. They also have a pot to heat water instantly and they provide coffee and camomile tea bags. There was a large desk area in this room and a large television. The location is right across the street from a large shopping mall that also has restaurants and walking distance to Musil (restaurants, cinema, shopping). They do have a pool and has pizza and beer every evening at rooftop bar. All your needs are very close to this hotel. The bus terminal is ~6 minutes walking distance and train is ~ 10 minute taxi ride. Approximately 2 miles is the outdoor market (food/shopping). Considerations: make sure to bring international chargers, translate app and if get Wow pass can top up with cash at 7/11 or CU. I did make several attempts to top up on Wow pass app with credit card and was having difficulty. The bus terminal and taxi’s accept international visa credit card. The bus terminal does not accept T card. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to the staff and cleanliness.

This motel is close to Wonju Free Market, Jungwon Traditional Market, and Wonju Doraemi Market. It also has a 7-Eleven just around the corner. I arrived at the motel at around 10:30pm, and there was already nobody in the check-in counter. I had to rang the bell and call and waited for around 15 minutes before someone came out and checked me in. Water kettle was not provided in the room, I had to go down to the lobby to use the public water kettle, which was very inconvenient. And no instant coffee sticks or tea bags provided. Room facilities were also quite old, however space is very generous as the room was quite spacious. One thing I was particularly not satisfied with was the toilet water, it was very weak, and it drained very very slowly.

Excellent Excellent Excellent!!! So clean and so near the bus terminal! Friend's mom approved, LOL Free snacks, free Ramyeon, free beautiful rooftop access. They kept my luggage for me when I arrived early, and helped me check out cos I left the card in the room, oops.. I had some friends in town drop over for a bit and everyone exclaimed that the room was amazing, then they heard the price and were even more shocked at how good for value it was. Walkable to so many foodie places. 4K UHD Projector allowed for a movie night. So many amenities. If I ever come to Wonju, I'll definitely stay here again!

너무 편하게 잘 쉬고 갑니다. 엘레베이터 앞 방이라 걱정했는데 소음 전혀 없엇구요. 방도 깨끗하고 따뜻했습니다 필요한 물품도 모두 잘 갖추고 있었구요. 모텔이 많은 위치에 있긴 하지만 조용해서 불편함 전혀 없었습니다. 원주 출장 오게되면 여기 재방문 할 것 같아요

시설이며 위치는 가격대비 괜찬앗어요.조용하고 근처에 롯데마트..ak.먹거리도잇어서 편의햇어요.로비에는 팝콘도 주더라구요.굿굿. 다만 욕조에 애 샤워시키려고 한번만졌는데 와~이건 까만색먼지.물로 헹궈도 까만색이고 스펀지로 빡빡 밀어야할정도였어요. 이부분은 조금 아쉬웟어요.

Hotel clean and the party room spacious enough with three double beds, three shower booths. A jacuzzi in the living room section looked ok too. Just not good at blocking noises from other rooms and the toilet is ridiculous why doesn't it get a proper door? Staff and breakfast are ok nothing over the top but practical enough.

The room was surprisingly huge, the shower was nice and the proximity to restaurants, 24/7 convenient store and obviously the slope is top notch. The parking is also okay, there's plenty of spaces. Lift pass and rental combo is tax free for foreigners if you book on site. However there is a huge elevator problem, if you're not lucky on which floor you're on, or not doing the ”go up to go down” strat, then you'll never be able to get into the elevator. It was especially difficult that day because one of the elevators was broken. Body towels and toothbrush / toothpaste isn't included, with 1 body towel being around 200yen to borrow. All the staff were nice and spoke enough english. FYI 99% of people there are Koreans. I was there from 10am and stayed overnight and I've only heard / saw 2 Hong Kong people and NO MORE LOL no foreigners at all. Another thing is that most of the mountain was closed, only the beginner green slope and the bird lift was open, so 1 green and 2 blue squares. Not sure why but I'm a beginner so I was mostly on bird lift anyway. Overall my friend and I enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is located just 5 mins from the intercity bus station, and there are many good eateries in the neighborhood. There is also a small park nearby for easy and nice exercise. The bus stop nearby also has direct buses to the KTX station. The room is a bit old but well-equipped with hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobe, bath tub etc and is large & warm. Only the toilet ventilation brings some cigarette smoke from other rooms… The main staff Mr Jeong is also helpful. Overall, great stay at a budget price!

I've stayed here before, and it is clean, quiet, and blackout dark. This time, however, the standard room I had reserved was unavailable, and so I got an upgrade, which just had two computers instead of one (both of which I don't need), and the room actually seemed smaller than the last time I remember. Checkout time was not until 12, but I received two phone calls to tell me to check out before then. I was in the shower and ran out to get the first call, but they had already hung up. So just a bit of an annoying start to my day. Otherwise, I would recommend it again. Just ask them not to call you.

This motel was affordable and clean. Conveniently located off the main street near a gas station, Starbucks and McDonald’s with free parking. The only thing we would fault this hotel with is the attempt to charge extra for a child after the price was confirmed for two adults and a child. This extra fee was not mentioned at confirmation, nor was the value provided. It made us feel that they could arbitrarily make up a price after the fact. Didn’t feel above board.
