We wanted to book a room for three people but couldn't even though the room could fit four people. They have a fantastic variety of food for breakfast, but a bit expensive for an extra person. They have kids' food sections. The location is quite good, the tram is about 2 mins walk. The bathroom wasn't thoroughly cleaned. I had to give them feedback with pictures to ensure through cleaning for good hygiene. I think for the price, the rooms are quite basic. Maybe it's because of the festive season.

I chose Sofitel Le Grand Ducal for a New Year’s stay, expecting a high level of comfort and service. My experience started with some disappointment at check-in, including inconsistency in service and an initial room that felt cold and did not fully meet expectations. This was particularly noticeable on New Year’s Eve and affected my first impression. However, after I shared my concerns, the hotel team handled the situation professionally and made a real effort to improve my stay. I was offered a room change to a warmer and higher-category room, along with a kind handwritten apology card and chocolates, which I truly appreciated. What matters most to me is that the hotel listened and took action. Thanks to this, my overall impression changed for the better, and I was able to enjoy the rest of my stay. I hope this feedback helps the hotel maintain a more consistent service experience from the very beginning for all guests.

The hotel is along a quaint street that's almost like uninhabited on a Sunday. I like that there's a bus stop right at the doors that helps with getting around easily. But there's essentially nothing much in the surroundings. The hotel reception is at the bar, one may mistaken it for the bar counter instead. The lobby has a bar vibe, I guess much in line with the brewery history of this building. Room is a little small for 2 persons, leaves little space for moving around if 2 luggages are opened concurrently. I like the open wardrobe concept but I don't get why the electrical sockets need to be hidden behind the side table. The room is also generally very dim and dark, even with all lights switched on. They also provide a bottle of drinking water, just 1 per day and additional bottles are chargeable. Which I felt was a little rigid considering how expensive a room night costs here. The toilet is separate from the shower area which does not have a door. The standing shower has no shower curtain and is half covered, where the water just spills all over outside of the shower area. The bed is firm and comfortable but pillows are too soft for my liking, hardly any support. Room is always clean, kudos to the housekeeping team. Overall, an acceptable stay, but pricey.

The place is gorgeous. The apartment has everything you might need for a short or a longer stay. Everything was convenient, and I enjoyed the stay. The location is overall good in terms of reaching the very heart of the city (~7 min walk), and the tram station (~3 min walk), but the gare district feels a bit creepy for a solo traveler at night. Luckily, the hotel is at the border of the district and the center, so you do not really have to experience the district. Would totally recommend.

The ibis Hotel is located together with its ibis Hotel. Both share the same reception location. The hotel is conveniently just across from the airport. A bus stop is right outside of the hotel building. Busses as frequent as every 10 min during rush hour could take you to the old town / central train station within 12 min. The hotel is overall clean and with young vibe. 2 hotel restaurants serve from breakfast to dinner. We ate there for one dinner and the foods were great.

Nice, clean, and comfortable hotel with quiet rooms for a good night’s sleep. The location is great, just a short walk to the city center. The breakfast buffet had a big variety with plenty of options to choose from, also gluten free options available. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Travelled to Luxembourg with two friends, 3 people overall. The location is spectacular, very close to the main station as well as the city center. Just great. The room itself was alright, nothing fancy, generally clean. Towels were provided. No AC, so be aware of that in summer time. The beds were not very long, but if you are below 1.85m you should be fine!

Service was excellent. Hotel is clean and staff is very polite. Pool times are horrible usually only from 17-20:00 and in the weekend on Morning and evening. Really hard to acces when you have an day out! Lovely buffet and great quality / price! There were new towels which are really annoying and leaving a lot of lint when you use them. Airconditioning works well in the rooms. Hallway is sometimes smelly in the 12th floor. Gym has no airconditioning becomes a sauna…

The single room I booked was clean, but quite small and simple - I would even call it spartan. The staff was not very friendly; I would have expected a bit more. Still, I was not turned away :). The location is convenient, close to both the historical center and the European Quarter. I would stay there again, but without any high expectations.
