PPengguna TetamuThe hotel's central location in the northeast end of Riga's old town made it very easy to explore the city. We were close to the city's main attractions and were within a 5 minute walk to the Cat House, Freedom Monument, Riga/Dome Cathedral, and St. Peter's Cathedral.
We booked the room without a window. It was very nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. The room was quiet but a bit stuffy and we felt the AC wasn't strong enough. We felt there was still good value with this room though because of the price and there was a lot packed into it. There was a Nespresso coffee machine, tea station, cute tea cups and a large bathroom with a very nice shower. We appreciated that a wall adapter was provided and plugged in that worked with North American style plugs.
The hotel is in a building from the 17th century and has a very nice looking mirrored atrium. There is a fun story where a horse threw a shoe, hit this building and stuck so the owner kept it because he felt it was good luck. The hotel has a bar in the lobby as well as a small shop.
The highlight of this hotel was the breakfast which had a great view of the city from the window and a very good breakfast. The breakfast had a small buffet with cheese, smoked fish, fresh bread and some other nice choices. We enjoyed the variety of drinks like the rhubarb lemonade and hot chocolate. You can order one hot item which included.

CChrisJanyThe hotel is well located on the edge of the old town, a few minutes walk from the all old town attractions, excursion pick up points and tourist office.
Excellent check in, well appointed room overlooking the river. A higher room would have been preferable, but room facilities excellent.
Although accommodation is very reasonably priced, we found the €20 pp charge for use of the spa facilities a little out of kilter.
Disappointed and surprised - especially at this time year - that we were not allowed a late checked even at the cost of €15 per hour after 1pm.

PPengguna TetamuThe property is under renovation, the whole floor and my room is with all the furnitures or renovation smell. It’s not a pleasant feel when you walking on the corridor to the room as some areas are renovating and some room doors are open and the furnitures all putting outside the corridor. Other than the location is good I really have bad experience with the smell especially while sleeping I got sinus with all these bad smell. I request to change room and they said is full. I request to fix the safebox battery and end up they didnt do it, I was on business trips and stay for 2 nights it’s a very bad experience for me. If you are renovating the floor pls do not rent iit our or at least clear the smell before renting to others.

PPengguna TetamuGreat location around 15 minute walk from the old city and tucked away in a quiet area off a main road. Along with my final booking details, the hosts provided me with excellent details including videos for how to access the property by myself. I somehow managed to lose this email when I arrived and the hosts were extremely prompt in helping me out.
The apartment is cosy and ideal for solo travellers or couples. The kitchen is well provided with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc. For cooking, there's a two ring induction hob, which for my needs this was sufficient. I also noticed a dishwasher and washing maching. The TV is internet enabled, great for Netflix or Youtube streaming channels.
Generally I found the hosts to be very helpful. If I'm ever in Riga again I'd be more than happy to stay in the same apartment.

LLucyFabulous location and very helpful staff on reception - keen to give recommendations for restaurants etc. I happened to mention it was my birthday during our stay and they put a bottle of Rigas sparkling wine and flute glasses in our room with a little card wishing me happy birthday.
Lovely sized rooms, comfy beds, good shower and a quiet hotel.

My stay felt like a comedy of errors where I was the punchline. First, the breakfast saga: I pre-paid for my breakfast at check-in. Yet, every single morning, the restaurant staff looked at me like a breakfast bandit trying to sneak a free croissant. “Room number? Is breakfast included?” Cue me, once again, explaining my pre-paid status like I was telling a fascinating but unlikely story. I half expected them to ask for a signed affidavit from the front desk manager by day three.
Then there was the Pool Surprise™. The website features the pool, but conveniently forgets to mention it costs extra. At check-in, I asked, ”Where's the pool?” They pointed. They did not, however, point and say, ”...and that'll be $20, please.”
So, picture this: I'm there in my swim trunks, towel slung over my shoulder, ready for a dip. I get greeted not with a ”hello,” but with a request for my credit card. I had to do the walk of shame back through the lobby, damp and disappointed, to pay at the front desk. A simple heads-up would have saved us all from that awkward little parade!
The place itself is nice, but honestly, it seems like the different departments only communicate by carrier pigeon. And I'm pretty sure one of those pigeons got lost.
Pros: The room was good (if a bit tired), and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: Be prepared for a mystery fee adventure and to repeatedly prove you've paid for things you've already paid for.
