Great location and staff, but poor cleanliness I liked this hotel overall, mainly because of its fantastic location right in the center of Amsterdam. It was extremely convenient for walking around the city, and all the main attractions are very close by. The staff was friendly, multilingual, and helpful with everything. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and even lent us an umbrella for the rain. Our room on the 4th floor was very spacious, especially by Amsterdam standards. However, the cleanliness was a major disappointment. The room was poorly cleaned: there was a lot of dust, the closets were dirty, and the coffee machine was so filthy that we didn't even want to use it. My overall impression is not bad, but due to the lack of cleanliness, I would not stay at this hotel again.

At that moment, I was not properly dressed, making the situation extremely embarrassing and a serious invasion of my privacy. This conduct was completely unacceptable. Furthermore, during this interaction, two members of your staff spoke to me in Dutch in what appeared to be an abusive and mocking manner. Although I do not understand Dutch, their tone, gestures, and overall behaviour were intimidating, disrespectful, and deeply humiliating. No guest should ever be treated in such a degrading way. The second issue concerns my food delivery. I had ordered food late at night, and it was left at the reception. When I went to collect it a few hours later, I was informed that the food had been thrown away. I was never contacted, no attempt was made to inform me that my order had arrived, and no explanation was provided as to why my personal property had been discarded. This is completely unacceptable and demonstrates a shocking lack of respect for guests and their belongings. The combination of these incidents reflects an alarming lack of professionalism, respect for guest privacy, and basic customer service standards. I expect the following: 1. A formal investigation into the conduct of the staff involved. 2. A written explanation as to why my room was entered against my explicit instructions. 3. An explanation as to why my food delivery was disposed of without my consent or any attempt to contact me. 4. An apology addressing the unacceptable treatment I experienced. 5. A review of your staff’s conduct and training to ensure that no other guest is subjected to such behaviour. I chose Mövenpick expecting a high standard of hospitality. There wasn’t a kettle in the room & mineral water are not provided. So amenities are at its minimal. Room service needs to be request but they just top up towels generally. Overall, it is convenient as the metro is right infront of the accommodation.

Very nice and clean hostel. The reception staff were very friendly. We booked at the last minute and did not expect such a good quality room, but everything was even better than we thought. The hostel is near the ****************** and under a big bar, but it was not too noisy. Most importantly, there was no ******** smell in the room. The bathroom and toilets were also very clean. Highly recommended.

Overall, I had a fairly good experience staying here. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help, which I really appreciated. However, there were a few issues. The bedside area was quite dusty and didn’t seem properly cleaned. Also, there was some confusion with the bed arrangements, and people ended up sleeping in the wrong beds, which was a bit inconvenient. That said, aside from these points, the overall stay was still pleasant. With some improvements in cleanliness and organization, this place could be even better.

Lokasinya hebat kerana ia betul-betul di hadapan Stesen Pusat Amsterdam. Biliknya kecil, tetapi lokasinya bagus jadi saya berpuas hati.

Beautiful hotel with clean an well lit rooms. We have booked twin suite .Room was spacious. Room had a coffee machine, hot water kettle ,microwave and a refrigerator. Staff was warm and helpful.

We spent our winter holiday here and there are plenty of local groceries stores around. The train station is just a breeze walk away so it’s easy to travel around. The Zaanse Schans (windmill attraction), Zaandam (‘Lego’ house) is just few stations away from the hotel. Stay wise it’s comfortable but can get tad abit noisy as the sound insulation between walls are rather weak. All in all we will definitely stay here again!

I was a bit worried after booking this hotel due to the bad reviews I saw but honestly my experience was absolutely fine. The room and bed was clean. It was quiet and the location was excellent. I was able to walk to everything but there’s a metro right outside too. The bed was comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful
