Definitely a busier part of town but we enjoyed being in the middle of it. Could see and hear the water fountains in the park from window. There is a little second level perch/balcony which was amazing to sit at during the evening sun while sipping some of the delicious white wine provided by hotel. Easy walk to the train stations and overall great location for walking to all of the places we wanted to go to. Beds were very comfortable and we had excellent sleep! Morning breakfast was amazing and had a very nice ambiance! I can’t believe the fresh juice station and health shots…America needs to step up the game as far as hotel breakfasts.

オスロセントラル駅横に位置するAmerikalinjenは、市内中心部にあり観光にも仕事でもとても利便性の良い立地にあります。ノーベル平和賞晩餐会会場の市庁舎までは、徒歩で15分もかかりません。是非訪れてみてください。またとてもサービスの行き届いた歴史がある由緒正しきホテルです。館内、室内共に装飾、インテリアを見るだけでも素晴らしい。レストランのお食事も素晴らしく、ホテルのお水は世界で販売している程、安心で美味しいお水です。チェックアウトの日が早朝だったのですが、ホテルのスタッフの方がサーモンのベーグルサンドや果物、ドリンクをボックスにして用意して下さいました。素敵な滞在でした。ノルウェーを再訪する際には、また是非とも宿泊したいホテルです。

We loved this hotel!! The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly 🥰 It was great to have a bath in our room 😁 We appreciated the view of the old stock exchange from our window & the lush trees outside. The hotel is ideally located for public transport. We were able to book the sauna that was only a 5 minute walk away. We also swam from the beach near the opera house. The centre of Oslo is full of interesting buildings, green spaces & artworks. Would have no hesitation in booking again 😁

Had a decent stay at the hotel from 6 to 9 Dec. The hotel and the room looks new and is very comfortable. Room is pretty spacious. The pillows are a little too soft and there is no kettle, but there is water dispenser and coffee machine at the hotel lobby if you need hot water. The breakfast buffet has a good variety and is delicious! The hotel is about 10 mins walk to the nearest subway station. There is a mall with supermarket just across the hotel (few mins away). Pretty convenient!

The hotel is very close to the central train station. In fact, you can cross the bridge (covered) to the nearby mall, exit on the 1st floor, cross the road and enter the hotel. The hotel's surroundings are dirty and less pleasant, both because of renovations and construction in the area and from a human perspective. A short walk (5 minutes) brings us to the main street, or to the central square, or to the opera house) The hotel itself, like the other chain hotels, is commendable. Free coffee/tea, water/soda in the lobby and sometimes also fruit and small pastries. We were given a spacious room on the fourth floor with large windows that can be opened. This is important when it's hot, but the windows face an internal courtyard so there is no view and no good air exchange. The room was ventilated, but there was no air conditioning. The bed was comfortable. A large and pleasant shower room with a wide shower that you don't have to crowd into. Two sinks and a large window. A seating area with two armchairs and a standing lamp (without the bulb itself...) The room was maintained to a reasonable but not excellent standard. (Lack of bulb, stains on the chair upholstery, clogged shower head that we asked to replace and it was replaced quickly). A very good, varied and wonderful breakfast like in the entire chain. We would return to this hotel if we had heavy luggage and came to stay overnight but not for a vacation.

Great hotel, but the fact that you have to book a cleaning feels like a cost cutting measure rather than one to benefit the environment. Breakfast is very expensive despite the reception staff calling it “cheap”.

Great place to stay and location is just walkable to station and city center. Staff are also accommodating. Will definitely be back once I visit Oslo again.

Numa has a superb and user-friendly app that makes check-in and check-out a breeze. You can also request a late check-out or add other services directly through the app, though these come with additional charges if you choose to use them. The room itself was brighter and spacious — we booked a larger version of the standard room. It even came with a washing machine, which we were really excited about since it was the only property during our trip that had one. Unfortunately, it didn’t have a dryer function (or perhaps we might have missed it), so drying our clothes after washing was a bit of a challenge. The distance from Oslo Train Station was manageable, but do take note that if you’re carrying big or heavy luggage like we were, the pavements leading to the property can be quite tricky to navigate. Overall, it was still a good and comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Smart Hotel Oslo. The room had everything we needed, and we especially loved that the hotel provides Rituals toiletries – they are our favorite. The reception staff were always kind, welcoming, and helpful. We also really appreciated being able to check in a few hours before the official check-in time, as well as having access to the luggage storage room on our last day. Both made our trip much more comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to public transportation and major attractions. There is also a great Chinese restaurant nearby serving delicious food, which was a nice bonus. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Oslo.

For our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit. My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in. Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go. We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel. I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!
