Stayed a week here. Not bad. But bugs in the room and bathroom at times and very old. Not exactly like in pictures. Average breakfast but ok. Staff and reception friendly and kind and able to take pounds as a deposit if unable to get cash on arrival. Very convenient location. Away from the chaotic Khaosan area. Only a 10 minute walk

Staying at Ralph Hostel as a solo traveler in Bangkok was an excellent experience. The hostel has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that makes it very easy to meet other travelers while still feeling comfortable and safe. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and always happy to give local tips or recommendations.
The rooms and common areas were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed for travelers. lockers felt secure, and the overall vibe was social without being noisy. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to public transportation, street food, cafés, and nearby attractions.
One of the highlights was the rooftop garden, which offers absolutely amazing views of the nearby palaces. Watching the sunset and seeing the palace rooftops light up in the evening was truly special and made the stay even more memorable.
Ralph Hostel is a fantastic choice for solo travelers looking for great value, comfort, and a unique Bangkok experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Very happy with my stay. The lady who checked me in was really nice and gave me some Tom yum crackers. Location is good and close to a lot of tourist spots, restaurants and bars. Close to the muay thai stadium and the arts centre.
Rooftop and lobby are good areas for socialising. Rooftop if you want to sit in the sun, lobby if you want air conditioning. Room itself is clean and people are respectful. Be aware they charge for towels!
Also if you’re not good with steep stairs maybe this won’t be your place. There are four levels and the steps themselves are pretty high

Lokasinya hebat, boleh berjalan kaki ke banyak tarikan utama, malah ke Grand Palace! Terdapat 7-11 di seberang jalan yang sangat mudah. Biliknya sangat asas, tandas bersih dengan syampu dan gel mandian disediakan, terdapat pemanas air. Katilnya sangat keras dan spring di dalamnya hampir runtuh. Cadar katil kelihatan tidak begitu bersih dan tuala berbau sedikit dan masih boleh diterima. Tidak boleh menggunakan TV kerana kotak saluran tidak berfungsi, tidak bersusah payah meminta kaunter penerimaan tetamu untuk membaikinya. Proses daftar masuk mudah, mereka memerlukan deposit tunai sebanyak 200 atau 300 baht (tidak ingat jumlah sebenar) dan mengembalikannya semasa daftar keluar.

Впечатления очень двоякие. С одной стороны отель новый и чистый, с хорошей техникой и мебелью, с очень милым и добрым персоналом. Очень признательны им за то, что хранили нашу сумку несколько дней, пока мы ездили на север страны.
Но нам видимо сильно не повезло. Во-первых номер достался самый маленький и не удобный, судя по всему, на первом этаже, пространство не продумано для комфорта, с маленьким совмещённым санузлом, отсутствием места для вещей (только три вешалки на стене), ни одного стула или табуретки или тумбочки, пара розеток (одна из которых без полки - телефон клали просто на пол, как и большинство вещей).
В отеле нет завтраков (хоть и есть столовая, но похоже только для персонала), на улице есть столики с видом на канал, курить и пить запрещено на всей территории отеля.
Ещё один странный момент: за 3 ночи к нам ни разу не заходили, соответственно не убирались, не выносили мусор и не приносили воду, но плюс персонала, конечно, что когда я спросила об уборке, они сильно извинялись и сделали фруктово-снековый комплемент.
В целом расположение неплохое, тихий район, рядом Ват Арун и район Кудичин с прогулочной набережной.
Но если вы ждёте какого-то вида из окна, то он есть вероятно только на 3-м и 4-м этажах.
Отзывов было мало, так как отель новый, и мы приняли эти риски, так как бронировали в последний момент.
Так или иначе спасибо ещё раз персоналу за их доброту и улыбки. Если быть готовым ко всем вышеперечисленным нюансам, и более того улучшить недочёты, будет хорошо.

Это замечательный отель! Всё новенькое, чистое, в номере очень уютно. Есть всё необходимое: полотенца, тапочки, халат, фен, зубные щетки с зубными пастами, ватные диски и палочки. Персонал вежливый, отзывчивый! Девушка администратор проявила активное участие, когда я ей сказала, что в соседнем доме кошка/кот возможно попал в беду, в итоге всё благополучно разрешилось)
Кто-то пишет, что мешает шум от дороги, но мне было комфортно, хоть окна и выходили на дорогу.
Рядом в 5 минутах ходьбы находится храм Ват Арун, а от него с причала можно за 5 бат переплыть на другую сторону реки к храму Ват Пхо (Лежащего Будды).
В общем, 10/10 ставлю этому отелю! Спасибо за комфортное размещение!

Outstanding new hostel! Everything is brand new and maintained to a very high standard. The staff and everyone who works here are super friendly. We ended up staying here for a week, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Would certainly be coming back when we’re in Bangkok again!

The bed I was assigned to had a broken towel rack and ants around the bed and the staff immediately agreed to switch beds for me. While there were fewer ants at the new bed, there was a baby cockroach running around the locker portion of the bed. It was late and my last night when I saw the cockroach so I didn't bother asking for a change but I do think better pest control could be something the hostel should look into.

CCurt 常鹰We saved this hotel until last – slightly fancier than the other 3 in our time in Thailand – as a little final night trip, and unfortunately, it was the most disappointing of the lot. The price, by global standards, might not be eye-watering. But by Thailand prices, it was certainly higher end, at over 800rmb per night with a ~450 (2000bht) deposit upon arrival. It did not meet those standards, I'm afraid to say.
First things first, it should be said that it is fairly easy to get to on the MTR system, just a very short walk from Hwai Khwang, though it should be pointed out that when using Trip to find the location of Google Maps, I was given the wrong spot (further down the road, so actually a nice surprise to see it was closer, and I wont hold this against the hotel as it is likely nothing to do with them.)
Serve at check-in was good, bags carried up the stairs for us and taken to the room with the porter stood waiting as we arrived. Check-in staff were as friendly as one would expect at a Marriott-run hotel of this quality, & though I was slightly surprised by the price of the deposit it was ultimately fine.
We had booked a deluxe room with a double bed, and were told that since there was none available (?), we'd be upgraded to a Premier. Looking at the app since, I'm struggling to see where they differ. The decor in the Premier is perhaps a bit more modern, but they are the same size with the same bathroom (more on that later), and the lower price-point is on a much higher floor (ergo better view, I'd assume). In truth, had I paid for a Premier & been greeted with our room, I'd have been even more disappointed.
The room was fine, but I'm not sure much more than that. A decent size, though by no means surprisingly big. It was at least quite airy, and the bed pretty comfortable, though seriously lacking in plug sockets. I find it rare to see a hotel these days without plug sockets on both sides of the bed, especially a hotel at this price point. It meant that only one phone could be charged nearby, the other on the table on the other side of the room.
The bathroom, though, was really, really disappointing (& that's putting it lightly). The bathtub might have been a nice touch, had it not quite clearly had dried on blood stains in it. I've never experienced this in any hotel I've ever stayed at, no matter how cheap. Let alone at one double the price of anywhere else we stayed in Bangkok and Thailand! The sink, too, was clearly scratched up dirty, with two clear globs of dried on mucus. No face washing in there for us. Fortunate perhaps, given the number of towels provided too was pretty light. The bin in the bathroom also came with no bin bag. I'd hope that the inside is therefore cleaned regularly, but given what we'd seen before, I wasn't filled with hope.
Elswhere, breakfast was generally of expected quality. Nothing to write home about per se, but a very nice dining area and good service in fairness. The coffee was decent, though again by no means hugely memorable. The swimming pool is a highlight, offering great views across the city (indeed, the view from our room was quite nice too – though can't help thinking it would be better from a higher floor, like in the cheaper rooms!), with ample comfy beds and free towels. It might be a bit small in peak season, but there were only 3 other groups sharing with us, so plenty of space for a swim.
We also enjoyed the massage (850bht). The price was not included in the room fee, but I thought 850 seemed a decent price for the quality and the convenience.
Each of these things could be the most memorable part of the trip, were we not greeted by the dirtiest bathroom I've ever experienced in a hotel. & that's a real pity, because it was so avoidable too! Especially from a Marriott hotel, I'd really expect better.

Free shuttle boat service to Sathorn Pier of which you can easily transfer to Icon Siam. Walking distance to Asiatique which was surprisingly bustling even at 10pm.

GGarreth HuntBangkok was the last stop on our trip to Thailand and we booked this hotel as a treat to end our trip given it's 5 star status. We were left very disappointed...
The lobby is lovely and is indicative of a high end hotel but that's where it ended unfortunately. The rooms are 3 star at best. We had booked a room with a balcony specifically but the initial room we were given didn't have one. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room with a balcony, however the balcony was surrounded by fans so we had limited views. We were offered another room on our second day with a better balcony but the room itself was smaller so we opted to stay where we were. From what we could see, none of the balconies are great so I would avoid paying the extra for rooms with them.
The pool is cold and in need of some work, the grout is coming away in many areas creating sharp edges in spots. Also not 5 star quality.
Breakfast was the nicest setup and offering we had seen in Thailand.

EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch.
John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better.
Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room.
The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

The photos on the listing do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. They look much newer than they actually are.
A stove was listed as an amenity, but in reality it was not usable — it was covered with a fixed wooden panel and could not be opened.
There is no tea or coffee in the room, despite a coffee machine being shown in the photos. Tea is available at the reception during daytime only.
The air conditioner is very noisy. It is controlled via a wall panel (no remote control) with limited settings, and even on the lowest mode the noise is noticeable.
There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, so steam stays in the room after showering unless the door is opened.
The TV offers only Thai channels. There is no Smart TV and no option to connect a phone.
The kitchen area has a sink, cabinets, and basic dishes, but it is not functional due to the lack of a stove.
Despite cleaning, the room looks visually worn because of the overall condition of the walls and ceiling.
Pros
The bed is comfortable, with two pillows per person.
Clean bed linen.
The bathroom was clean, with good water pressure.
The room includes a new hairdryer, a refrigerator, dishes, and cutlery.
There is a balcony facing the courtyard, where smoking is allowed.
The staff were polite and helpful. The receptionist spoke good English and explained everything clearly, and the housekeeping staff were also very friendly.
The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle to nearby shopping malls.
The location is convenient, close to M-Sphere, Emporium, and the M District, which was the main reason we chose this hotel.
Overall
Suitable for a short stay of one night.
The main drawback is the outdated rooms and mismatch with the photos.
The location and staff are the hotel’s strongest points.

Минусы
Номера сильно устаревшие. Мебель, стены, углы и ванная с потёртостями и сколами, требуется обновление и ремонт.
Фотографии на сайте не соответствуют текущему состоянию номеров: выглядят новыми, тогда как по факту номера давно не обновлялись.
В номере была заявлена плита, но фактически она отсутствовала — была закрыта и зафиксирована деревянной панелью, воспользоваться ею невозможно.
В номере нет чая и кофе, несмотря на то, что на фотографиях присутствует кофемашина. Чай можно взять на ресепшене в дневное время.
Кондиционер шумный, работает без переносного пульта, управление осуществляется с настенного блока с ограниченным количеством режимов. Даже на минимальном режиме шум заметный.
В туалете нет вытяжки, после душа пар остаётся в комнате, уходит только при открытой двери.
Телевизор показывает только тайские каналы, Smart TV отсутствует, подключение телефона невозможно.
Кухонная зона оборудована раковиной, шкафчиками и посудой, но нефункциональна из-за отсутствия плиты.
Из-за общего износа поверхностей номер визуально выглядит неаккуратно, несмотря на уборку.
Плюсы
Удобная кровать, по две подушки на человека.
Чистое постельное бельё.
Ванная комната была чистой, хороший напор воды.
В номере есть новый фен, холодильник, посуда и столовые приборы.
Есть балкон, выходящий во двор, на котором можно курить.
Вежливый и отзывчивый персонал: девушка на ресепшене хорошо говорит по-английски и подробно всё объясняет, горничные также оставили приятное впечатление.
Предоставляется гольф-кар трансфер до ближайших торговых центров.
Удобное расположение рядом с M-Sphere, Emporium и M-кварталом, что было основной причиной выбора отеля.
Итог
Подходит для краткой остановки на одну ночь.
Основной минус — сильно устаревшие номера и несоответствие фотографиям.
Расположение и персонал — сильные стороны отеля.

Secara umumnya penginapan yang lancar dan santai, suasana yang selesa dan perkhidmatan yang bijak. Pengangkutan ulang-alik percuma hanya setiap satu jam, fleksibiliti/ketegaran masa bergantung pada kakitangan perkhidmatan pada syif hari itu. 8-15 minit berjalan kaki ke kawasan jalan utama (dua stesen kereta api berbeza berdekatan) di mana anda boleh menemui banyak restoran tempatan, kafe dan restoran Jepun.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is situated almost the end of silom but close to Hindu temple for me to visit and more convenient for me to worship almost everyday when I get bored or when I have Sth in my mind . The breakfast is the same old same old and no matter time fly so is the same but u need to rotating the hot breakfast menu and too minimise a food cost and food waste after service. The room was great ! And thanks for an upgrade with the tup and made me to relax after the humid and hot day or after window shopping. The room is clean and housekeeping are friendly and ask for the service . Staff are friendly for checking in and I feel bad when staff complain and u under the pressure and have to get police involve and I want to step up and help u to rectify a problem but I am off duty as I am on a short vocation so next time and don’t be afraid and stay tough with this people cause they complain too much but always pay less and expect more or not enough ( tell them ) or ask them to go to neighbour hood hotel instead or try to negotiate with them and catering the best u can by not getting affect by room revenue . I hope to see u again in the future maybe in other excutive room with a bath tub and view but u all need to refurbish some room or the best type of room to upgrade or selling to a guest and increase room revenue incremental .
