The location is great. There’s a 7-Eleven just a 3–5 minute walk away, which made everything super convenient.
The staff were really nice and accommodating. The room was simple but very clean. I especially loved the bed and pillows. I’m picky with pillows because the wrong one gives me headaches, so this was a big plus for me.
I was a bit worried about the bathroom after reading some reviews, but honestly, it was fine. It was not hot at all. The space inside is a little narrow though. The gap between the toilet bowl and the wall is quite tight, which might be slightly uncomfortable if you’re tall or have long legs.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel offers a generously sized room, reminiscent of an Airbnb, clean and with basic amenities, all at a great value. Situated within a brief 5-minute stroll to Samyan Mitrtown there is a 24/7 supermarket. Within an 8-minute walk to Chula 48/50 streets with many traditional small food restaurants. A short 10-minute walk leads to Samyan market and Ban Tad Thong, the famous food street. The hotel's location is good not much traffic congestion during peak hours don't need to wait too long for taxi.

Because it's a quick gateway trip for myself, it's a good place for me to get a quick rest. Overall staff friendly, I have a small request to staff, she is so helpful to prepare for me. it is also convenient to walk Sam Yan Mall within 8-10 minutes. Also convenient to take the MRT or bus as well. Nearby 2 famous temples. U can also visit the nearest local morning market by a hired local taxi rider (just tell rider Talad Silom Soi 20, they will be charged 30 thai baht).

Another repeated stay because of its ideal location where it is close to the MRT (along the blue line where we enjoy visiting the historic precincts served by the line) and Samyan Mitrtown (especially when we need to shop for last minute Thai snacks at Big C and After You) . Also, our fave eateries like T spoon and Chula 50 are close by. The hotel staff is warm and welcoming. The male housekeeper is very thorough and ensures our room is tidied by the time we had our breakfast. Room was cozy and it’s nice they provide capsule coffee, instant cup noodles and soft drinks within the room. Will be back again.

Satu pengalaman yang sangat unik dan menyenangkan, sebagai pengembara solo. Saya tidak pernah menginap di tempat seperti ini sebelum ini, jadi ia terasa unik di Thailand. Katil asrama bersih dan selesa. Bilik pancuran mandian komunal luas dan bersih.
Bagi aspek *** dan komuniti, malangnya sebahagian besar tetamu ketika saya menginap di sana nampaknya orang Cina dan seolah-olah berpegang pada kumpulan mereka sendiri. Ini bukan salah hostel itu sendiri, dan mungkin ia hanya masa yang tidak sesuai.
Masuk sauna disertakan - ia berdekatan, tetapi BUKAN di bangunan utama. Hostel tidak semestinya kotor - ia adalah apa yang anda buat. Jika anda hanya mahu pergi ke sana dan berkawan/mempunyai ruang yang selamat untuk bercakap tentang perkara-perkara queer, itu juga tidak mengapa. Jangan biarkan konsep itu menakutkan anda.

U need to borrow and return to the front desk, if someone use it u may not able to use it. They told me only 1 hair dryer available for the whole hotel to borrow!
How much is a dryer can cost you? Why dont just get it for all the rooms? It is a long term use amenities for the customer convenience. Very first time in my life seeing such situation.

What I liked:

• Amazing rooftop pool with view of King Power Mahanakhon Tower
Needs improvement:
• WiFi connection — very weak / not accessible in room, café, or pool area

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I would especially like to commend the honesty and professionalism of the team.
After I checked out, the housekeeping staff found cash that I had accidentally left behind in my room. The hotel immediately contacted me and securely kept the money in their safety box. This level of integrity and responsibility is rare and deeply appreciated.
The staff were not only efficient but also genuinely trustworthy, which gave me great peace of mind as a guest. This experience reflects excellent internal management, strong values, and a well-trained team.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place with excellent service, reliable staff, and high ethical standards. I will definitely stay here again.

Pros: Super convenient location - located above Samyan Mitrtown and direct access to MRT station. Many cafes and different style of restaurants nearby, walking distance to Banthat Thong.
Cons: The hotel does not have a restaurant, the breakfast offered by hotel is indeed provided by a 3rd party restaurant inside the shopping mall, hence as personal opinion it is not necessary to book with breakfast option as there are many other choices in and outside the shopping mall. The room is spacious however the balcony is locked and unaccessible. Also the size does not seems as big as it is described, based on rough estimation the internal net floor space is about 28 sqm against the 34 sqm as described, unless the 34 sqm mentioned is meant for gross area and including the balcony.....

CCK97My wife and I recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary with a 3-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel and it was an unforgettable experience.
Although not so modern, our room was luxurious and well maintained, providing all the comforts and amenities we needed. We especially looked forward to breakfast each morning, eager to enjoy the chef’s special of the day, which never disappointed and added a delightful start to our day.
During our stay, we appreciated the convenient location near all the shopping malls and attractions.
Overall, our experience at the Grand Hyatt Erawan was wonderful except for an evening where the shower area and all the taps only has hot water regardless turning on the cold or hot water tap. The technician team was quick in resolving the issue about 15-20 mins later.
It made our 21st wedding anniversary extra special, and we will still come back for more anniversary celebrations. Highly recommended for couples or anyone seeking a luxurious getaway.

The bed I was assigned to had a broken towel rack and ants around the bed and the staff immediately agreed to switch beds for me. While there were fewer ants at the new bed, there was a baby cockroach running around the locker portion of the bed. It was late and my last night when I saw the cockroach so I didn't bother asking for a change but I do think better pest control could be something the hostel should look into.

CCurt 常鹰We saved this hotel until last – slightly fancier than the other 3 in our time in Thailand – as a little final night trip, and unfortunately, it was the most disappointing of the lot. The price, by global standards, might not be eye-watering. But by Thailand prices, it was certainly higher end, at over 800rmb per night with a ~450 (2000bht) deposit upon arrival. It did not meet those standards, I'm afraid to say.
First things first, it should be said that it is fairly easy to get to on the MTR system, just a very short walk from Hwai Khwang, though it should be pointed out that when using Trip to find the location of Google Maps, I was given the wrong spot (further down the road, so actually a nice surprise to see it was closer, and I wont hold this against the hotel as it is likely nothing to do with them.)
Serve at check-in was good, bags carried up the stairs for us and taken to the room with the porter stood waiting as we arrived. Check-in staff were as friendly as one would expect at a Marriott-run hotel of this quality, & though I was slightly surprised by the price of the deposit it was ultimately fine.
We had booked a deluxe room with a double bed, and were told that since there was none available (?), we'd be upgraded to a Premier. Looking at the app since, I'm struggling to see where they differ. The decor in the Premier is perhaps a bit more modern, but they are the same size with the same bathroom (more on that later), and the lower price-point is on a much higher floor (ergo better view, I'd assume). In truth, had I paid for a Premier & been greeted with our room, I'd have been even more disappointed.
The room was fine, but I'm not sure much more than that. A decent size, though by no means surprisingly big. It was at least quite airy, and the bed pretty comfortable, though seriously lacking in plug sockets. I find it rare to see a hotel these days without plug sockets on both sides of the bed, especially a hotel at this price point. It meant that only one phone could be charged nearby, the other on the table on the other side of the room.
The bathroom, though, was really, really disappointing (& that's putting it lightly). The bathtub might have been a nice touch, had it not quite clearly had dried on blood stains in it. I've never experienced this in any hotel I've ever stayed at, no matter how cheap. Let alone at one double the price of anywhere else we stayed in Bangkok and Thailand! The sink, too, was clearly scratched up dirty, with two clear globs of dried on mucus. No face washing in there for us. Fortunate perhaps, given the number of towels provided too was pretty light. The bin in the bathroom also came with no bin bag. I'd hope that the inside is therefore cleaned regularly, but given what we'd seen before, I wasn't filled with hope.
Elswhere, breakfast was generally of expected quality. Nothing to write home about per se, but a very nice dining area and good service in fairness. The coffee was decent, though again by no means hugely memorable. The swimming pool is a highlight, offering great views across the city (indeed, the view from our room was quite nice too – though can't help thinking it would be better from a higher floor, like in the cheaper rooms!), with ample comfy beds and free towels. It might be a bit small in peak season, but there were only 3 other groups sharing with us, so plenty of space for a swim.
We also enjoyed the massage (850bht). The price was not included in the room fee, but I thought 850 seemed a decent price for the quality and the convenience.
Each of these things could be the most memorable part of the trip, were we not greeted by the dirtiest bathroom I've ever experienced in a hotel. & that's a real pity, because it was so avoidable too! Especially from a Marriott hotel, I'd really expect better.

Free shuttle boat service to Sathorn Pier of which you can easily transfer to Icon Siam. Walking distance to Asiatique which was surprisingly bustling even at 10pm.

PPengguna TetamuI spent 17 nights at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with my choice for a remote work and vacation stay. The room has a spacious desk where I could work comfortably, and the internet speed was consistently fast. The bed was also very comfortable. I had no trouble falling asleep at all. I’d say it’s on par with the bed at Parkroyal Collection Pickering in Singapore. The room was clean and a decent size, and the shower had strong water pressure. Locationwise, it’s about a 20-minute walk to Sala Daeng BTS or Lumphini MRT. While it may not be very close to public transport for some, one of the best things about the location is that it’s surrounded by many great restaurants to suit different budgets. In fact, the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had is just a five-minute walk from the hotel.Special thanks to Mr. Kelly from the reception team for providing exceptional service and helping me with any issues during my stay.

EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch.
John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better.
Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room.
The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

Cons
The rooms are very outdated. Furniture, walls, corners, and the bathroom show visible wear and damage. The rooms clearly need renovation.
The photos on the listing do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. They look much newer than they actually are.
A stove was listed as an amenity, but in reality it was not usable — it was covered with a fixed wooden panel and could not be opened.
There is no tea or coffee in the room, despite a coffee machine being shown in the photos. Tea is available at the reception during daytime only.
The air conditioner is very noisy. It is controlled via a wall panel (no remote control) with limited settings, and even on the lowest mode the noise is noticeable.
There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, so steam stays in the room after showering unless the door is opened.
The TV offers only Thai channels. There is no Smart TV and no option to connect a phone.
The kitchen area has a sink, cabinets, and basic dishes, but it is not functional due to the lack of a stove.
Despite cleaning, the room looks visually worn because of the overall condition of the walls and ceiling.

Suitable for a short stay of one night.
The main drawback is the outdated rooms and mismatch with the photos.

Минусы
Номера сильно устаревшие. Мебель, стены, углы и ванная с потёртостями и сколами, требуется обновление и ремонт.
Фотографии на сайте не соответствуют текущему состоянию номеров: выглядят новыми, тогда как по факту номера давно не обновлялись.
В номере была заявлена плита, но фактически она отсутствовала — была закрыта и зафиксирована деревянной панелью, воспользоваться ею невозможно.
В номере нет чая и кофе, несмотря на то, что на фотографиях присутствует кофемашина. Чай можно взять на ресепшене в дневное время.
Кондиционер шумный, работает без переносного пульта, управление осуществляется с настенного блока с ограниченным количеством режимов. Даже на минимальном режиме шум заметный.
В туалете нет вытяжки, после душа пар остаётся в комнате, уходит только при открытой двери.
Телевизор показывает только тайские каналы, Smart TV отсутствует, подключение телефона невозможно.
Кухонная зона оборудована раковиной, шкафчиками и посудой, но нефункциональна из-за отсутствия плиты.
Из-за общего износа поверхностей номер визуально выглядит неаккуратно, несмотря на уборку.
Плюсы
Удобная кровать, по две подушки на человека.
Чистое постельное бельё.
Ванная комната была чистой, хороший напор воды.
В номере есть новый фен, холодильник, посуда и столовые приборы.
Есть балкон, выходящий во двор, на котором можно курить.
Вежливый и отзывчивый персонал: девушка на ресепшене хорошо говорит по-английски и подробно всё объясняет, горничные также оставили приятное впечатление.
Предоставляется гольф-кар трансфер до ближайших торговых центров.
Удобное расположение рядом с M-Sphere, Emporium и M-кварталом, что было основной причиной выбора отеля.
Итог
Подходит для краткой остановки на одну ночь.
Основной минус — сильно устаревшие номера и несоответствие фотографиям.
Расположение и персонал — сильные стороны отеля.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaA good location for travellers looking for a quieter neighbourhood compared to the usual sukhumvit experience, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
1. Gets really inaccesible to convenience stores (they do sell limited options of snacks - at a surcharge of course)
2. Engaged their laundry services, almost couldn’t get it back and wanted to bill me an additional fee to get it back in time for me to checkout and catch my flight. Turns out one of my pants was damaged along the way but made no comments about it till I found out. Didn’t pursue this matter as I have to catch a flight, no time to look for resolutions.
3. Was back at the hotel one of the days slightly earlier at 4:30pm, to my dismay the room wasn’t cleaned, the crew only came by at 5:30pm and offered to clean the room but it wasn’t convenient for me (I was half asleep too). Subsequently took a mental note that I can’t be back at the hotel till at least 7pm if I need my room to be cleaned
Your experience may vary, but certainly not one of the experience I was thinking I would received.

LLouisliemArrived at 7pm and was told that the room was fully booked. So they transferred us to Furama Exclusive nearby for 1 night and upgrated our room and upgrade with breakfast. It was a good experience and good customer service. We extended to 2 more nights and they also gave special price. The room is spacious and clean w comfy beds. Will stay there again.
