The best hotel in Johannesburg. Safe area, great shopping center nearby. Polite staff, pleasant guests. Check-in was quick, renovations are excellent. I had a wonderful time here, too bad I only stayed two nights. One downside: there were issues with payment. I had already paid for the hotel on Trip.com, but reception said the payment hadn't been processed yet. I had to mail the receipt to the hotel employee. Only the next day did they tell me there were no problems and the hotel had been paid.

I had an outstanding stay at The Catalyst Hotel in Sandton. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making the check-in process smooth and effortless. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is impressive, creating a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere. One of the biggest highlights is the hotel’s excellent location. It’s conveniently situated close to Sandton City, Nelson Mandela Square, and the Gautrain, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travellers. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious options, and every meal I had at the restaurant was of excellent quality. The facilities, including the gym, pool, and spa, are well maintained and add tremendous value to the overall experience. What truly sets The Catalyst apart is the exceptional customer service. Every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, always greeting guests with a smile and a willingness to help. This hotel is was definitely one of my favorite stays. I made my booking around 7pm for a stay later that same night, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout the entire process. The rooms are impeccably clean and wonderfully spacious, easily ranking among the best hotel accommodations I've experienced during my visits to Johannesburg. The attention to detail and commitment to guest comfort is evident in every aspect of this wonderful establishment. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the well-appointed, comfortable rooms, this hotel has exceeded my expectations and solidified its position as one of my top preferred places to stay in the city. Although bathrooms may need a bit of an upgrade, I am confident that I will be returning to this hotel on my future visits to Johannesburg.

The location is spectacular. The rooms are good value for money. I liked my stay a lot. The only thing is if you’re booked into a room further away, you must know that if it is raining you have to walk outside and to the entrance to fetch your food orders or get your uber — only downside.

It was lovely. Staff were friendly and accommodating and arranged airport pickup. The breakfast was lovely as well as room service. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Jhb. 💕❤️ The rooms were clean although amenities needed to be requested suxh as robes, slippers, shower gel, shampoo etc - not really nice after a long flight. As well as water, so if this could be provided first that would make it even great.

It's giving more 3 than 4 stars? Customer service poor. Holiday Inn was full so this was a close alternative. Had amenities but their outlets were in the kitchen far from the bed? Not very business traveller or relaxing traveller friendly. I booked a queen studio which had a kitchenette which was great for warming food etc. Decor a bit tired so could do with some love. But apart from a very dirty bottle left on the balcony it was clean. Location is excellent for Rosebank Mall even if you have to play chicken to cross the road 😆 Customer service was severely lacking. I thought Radisson Red staff were slow but at least they were always there. You can't call frontdesk . It's all QR codes and WhatsApp. Late check out would be the cost of another night R1980. Staff had a, I dunno attitude and werent very helpful. 1 security guard and 1 young lady in the lounge are the only exceptions. Outlets in the lounge and office were local only and I had to really ask to get where I could buy adapters / converters. Next time I'll go elsewhere. They're not customer focused enough for me.

I have stayed at the Quatermain before, and I am happy to say that the whole experience was once again just lovely! I had arrived VERY early on my check-in day and the staff made sure that I had a room well before the scheduled check-in time AND they upgraded me too! The staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and all round just a delight!! Even with the ongoing challenges that loadshedding (scheduled power outtages) brings to the smooth operation of any business. The gardens are immaculate and tranquil, and it is unbelievable to think you are in the middle of everything with the peace and quiet that pervades. The little bistro / restaurant's menu is thankfully limited, as it means that the quality can be assured and anything that is made tastes deliciously homemade. The evening buffet is very good value for money! Just a small note that due to loadshedding, sometimes the email/booking system gives some issues - so don't forget to just follow up once booked :)

Le New Hotel Parktonian est situé dans le quartier de Bramfontein dans le centre de Johannesbourg. Bien que ce quartier soit réputé comme sûr dans les conseils aux voyageurs sur le site du Ministère des Affaires étrangères belges, les abords directs de l'hôtel laisse à désirer. Je ne vous conseil pas de vous y rendre avec le Gautrain jusqu'à Park et puis marcher. Il est préférable d'appeler un Uber ou un inDriver (moins cher) de l'aéroport à l'hôtel. L'hôtel est très grand et sûr, un agent de sécurité ouvre les grilles quand une voiture se présente, n'importe qui ne rentre pas dans cet hôtel. La chambre est très spacieuse, il s'agit d'une suite avec un lit confortable, la climatisation, un sofa, une TV écran plat et une bouilloire avec thés et cafés à disposition. La salle de bain est correcte même si le pommeau de douche ne fonctionnait pas très bien. On y trouve un nécessaire de toilette gratuit, des serviettes propres et un sèche-cheveux. J'ai apprécié mon séjour.

The is quiet and spacious and we had a very relaxed nights and the reception treated us well with respect and assistance.
