"We enjoyed our stay at the resort, especially as a family with young children. However, the bathtub in our initial room in the ocean wing was clogged. Luckily, we were moved to another room in the same building. They managed the issue well and offered us some freebies from the resort. We will definitely return, as it has become our son's favorite resort in Cebu."

"The location is still acceptable as going everywhere is beyond easy reach with Grab. Although there are traffic jam, we are still able to reach a destination on time. This hotel is too security in the sense they scan all items when you are back hotel. Everything in the room was good but there are leakage on the tap which make us irritated when using the basin."

"We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. What makes it truly special is its unique location: set on a small island just 10 minutes by boat from the mainland, it genuinely feels like being alone in the world. The setting is peaceful, charming, and beautifully secluded. The pool is lovely, the small beach is very enjoyable, and above all, the kindness of the staff is exceptional. The team is attentive, warm, and truly contributes to the overall experience. On the downside, because the island is quite isolated, dining options are limited to the hotel’s restaurant unless you take the boat back to the mainland. This makes both the room rates (even though the view is beautiful) and the food prices feel somewhat high. We were a family of five, added an extra bed, and requested early check-in, which significantly increased the final bill for our two-night stay. The total cost ended up being quite substantial. That said, we still had a wonderful time and keep very fond memories of our stay. It is a beautiful and special place overall."

"Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Fili Hotel NUSTAR. The facilities, amenities, and service from the room staff met our expectations. The pool, gym, and other amenities were excellent, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of selections. My daughter especially loved the complimentary popcorn, bread, and juice served in the lobby during check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. However, there were a few areas that could be improved, particularly during the check-in process. For a five-star hotel, the check-in took quite a while due to the long queue, which was disappointing after arriving at the hotel. I had reserved a Twin Bed room, but upon check-in, we were informed that only a King Bed room was immediately available and that it would take longer if we chose to wait for a Twin Bed room to become available. The staff advised that they could arrange the room later, but this would have required them to enter our room after we had already settled in. Then, the in-room staff delivered extra pillows and bedding. We opted not to proceed with the extra bed setup and simply used the spacious couch, which we moved closer to the bed and made up with the extra bedding. This arrangement worked well for the three of us and allowed us to rest immediately after a long day of travel, without having to wait for additional room preparations or have staff working in the room while we were already relaxing. Note that their standard check-in time is at 3 PM, we arrived at the hotel past 3 pm already. We were also celebrating my husband's birthday during our stay. During the booking process, I requested if it would be possible to display a personalized birthday greeting on the room's TV screen. The hotel kindly confirmed via email that they would arrange the greeting and also provide a birthday cake. We truly appreciated the thoughtful birthday cake delivered to our room, which was a lovely gesture. However, the personalized birthday message on the TV was unfortunately not displayed as promised. Another issue occurred during check-in regarding our breakfast entitlement. I had booked a room with breakfast for three guests, but the hotel's system only reflected breakfast for two. Fortunately, the staff resolved the issue without requiring any additional payment for our daughter after I presented my Trip.com booking confirmation. While I appreciate how they handled the situation, I believe these booking details should already be accurate upon arrival to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. Despite these check-in concerns, the rest of our stay was enjoyable. The room attendants were attentive and regularly checked if we needed anything, making us feel well taken care of. Overall, I would still recommend Fili Hotel NUSTAR for its excellent facilities, comfortable accommodations, and friendly staff. My only suggestion is to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the check-in process, as it sets the first impression for guests. Hopefully, our experience was an isolated case, and future guests will enjoy a smoother arrival."

"We had a great stay at Seda Cebu while traveling with family. The hotel is definitely good value for money, especially with the free breakfast included. The rooms were comfortable, the location was convenient, and the overall experience was very pleasant. Special thanks to Stephen and Camila from the front desk for their excellent service and warm hospitality. Also to Riza and Ana Amante from the breakfast service crew — they were very accommodating, attentive, and made our mornings even better. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Cebu!"

"Kandaya resort is definitely very beautiful and clean. It offers many activities from ARV, horseback rides, archery, island hopping and many more. The breakfast is delicious and has a variety of, especially Philippine cuisine. The kayaking was our personal favorite. It’s just a long drive away from Cebu city. However, should we find ourselves that side of the world again, we will choose this resort anytime. Lastly, the room was so stylish and modern..it was just amazing. Bed is super comfortable."

"Pool was closed again and frankly looks like it was closed for a long time . Even so, when we booked the hotel messaged us about enjoying their refreshing outdoor pool! Too funny. It seems the hotel comped guests who complained but my thought is if you get comped you lose your right to complain so here is my complaint. Sad for a 5 star hotel. Also, older tv’s don’t allow streaming of Netflix or YouTube which in 2026 5 star hotel should be a given. During breakfast the coffee machine never did work so staff had to run to the back and get us cappuccino. The machine is way too small for the size of the restaurant and radisson needs to upgrade the self serve coffee machine. Manybdead trees in the pool/outside area (at least 4) so obviously this area is being neglected as well. Not a 5 star hotel IMO. Staff were excellent of course so their training is effective."

"This hotel is very convenient, located only about 20 minutes from the airport, which makes it perfect before a flight. It is a large property, yet it remains surprisingly peaceful. The staff are truly lovely and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped with everything you might need. The food is excellent, especially the breakfast, which offers a great selection. We spent a fun evening at the Sports Bar — my children really enjoyed all the activities available. The only downside, in my opinion, was that the prices there were quite high. Aside from that, the view from the pool is stunning, and there is a pleasant small beach to enjoy. We had a wonderful stay before catching our flight."

"Our stay at the resort was truly delightful, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and accommodating assistance as they made every effort to fulfill our requests. The added amenities in the garden, including archery, badminton, and a chess set, were a fantastic bonus that enhanced our experience. The service throughout our stay was impeccable, and our hotel room was spotless, contributing to a comfortable and pleasant visit. We are particularly grateful for the staff's thoughtful reminder about the local celebration on our checkout day. Their timely advice to allocate extra travel time to the airport due to potential road blockages was crucial and very much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and made wonderful memories at the resort. If there's one aspect we would highlight for improvement, it would be our room allocation. We had originally booked a balcony ocean view room, but were given a room with only a partial ocean view due to high occupancy. While this was a bit disappointing, we believe this is more of a management issue rather than a reflection on the hardworking ground staff who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Overall, our experience at the resort was fantastic, and the dedication and friendliness of the staff made it unforgettable. We look forward to visiting again in the future and hope to enjoy the full ocean view we initially anticipated."

"It was our first time at NUSTAR. We only stayed for one night. It was a birthday suprise for my wife. She loved it and so did I. The suite we had was awesome. Very clean and spacious. We loved the layout of the room. There was a lot of details put into designing these suites. Very well done. The mall was great, all high to higher end stores which explains why not many customers in the stores. The 2nd floor had several restaurants. All were very busy which is good to see. We wanted to do the sky walk however it is by reservation only and they had already sold out for the day, so book that early if you want to do. The ****** was fun. First time for my wife. It was clean and very similar to all other casinos.We are already making plans to come back in December for a week, so I would highly recommend it. As for the cost, probably out of reach for most Filipinos however for foreigners it is very affordable. Just remember it is a high class place with standards and a dress code."
