Hotel Mountain view di Deqing

My husband and I really enjoyed our 2-night stay in the Ziling Mountain View Suite. The entire villa is beautifully decorated but in a way that feels lived in rather than pretentious. It's like being invited to a friend's home in the mountains. If you are a book-lover like me, you will enjoy the villa and rooms even more because there are shelves full of books everywhere you look. When you are not seeing books, you are seeing the stunning gardens or views of the surrounding mountains. We loved the daybed in our suite, covered in colourful pillows with a window that perfectly frames the mountain view and we spent evenings curled up there with books. During the day we were in search of hikes and our host, who loves to travel and hike himself, had lots of thoughtful recommendations. There is a very steep (and beautiful) trail just steps away from the house that leads you up the mountain through bamboo forest, past a local temple, and up to a field with sweeping views. We had both breakfast and dinner at the villa and the food was incredible, including very fresh fruit and vegetables, simple and delicious noodles, and beautifully cooked pork, chicken, and seafood dishes. We were also treated to homemade Tiramisu (made by the owner). It feels like the owner genuinely enjoys sharing this beautiful property with guests and finding ways to help make your experience unique and memorable. This was my first time in China and warm and generous hosts like this, combined with the beauty of the area, make me eager to return.

We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation. For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel. But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Overall, our stay was a bit disappointing, especially given the high reviews, which had set our expectations quite high. Although the hotel is relatively new, it lacks proper maintenance. The swimming pool and sunbathing area were not very clean. There was mold building up in the shower, and the rug in the room looked old and dirty. Additionally, there were no doors separating the bathroom and toilet areas, which was inconvenient. Sound insulation was poor — we could hear people talking in nearby rooms and common areas quite clearly. The hotel's location is right next to a busy road, which was not apparent from the photos. Contrary to the hotel description, there was no bamboo forest nearby, so our plan to escape the city for a peaceful countryside retreat didn’t work out as we had hoped. On a positive note, the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Some fruit and tea were provided free of charge, and the homemade Chinese-style breakfast was decent. The hotel is also within walking distance to the town center and several restaurants, which was convenient.

An outskirt paradise on the hill. Good for hiking or treking. Impressed by the Italian designed lobby. We were well received by the house keeper Teddy. We were honor to be attended by the owner Ernest Guan who make all guests feel at home. Ever obliging and “Take your time”is his slogan . The western meal is acceptable and the Chinese meal is excellent. We eventually extended our stay to join the night party with many foreigners. Thanks Ernest to his extra “wood”for comforting us through those chilling nights party.

The staff was beyond kind and made sure to communicate with me daily through WeChat (as there was a language barrier and they wanted to make sure the communication has no problems) about dinner reservations and cleaning the room. They made sure to provide a wonderful experience and helped me with all my requests. They also had an outdoor pool which can be used at any time along with 3 possible walking paths. 2 leading into the mountain and the third leading back to the lake you pass on your way to the hotel. I also tried the lunch and dinner which were both filling to the point where I could not finish the food (although I tried my best), both were 48rmb and 130rmb respectively. The breakfast is also just Chinese dishes, but filling and full of flavor. I also got to take home some homemade snacks! I also tried the outdoor hot tub for 480 rmb, which was worth the money. They provided some snacks, a warm drink and nature provided the rest. The only thing that could have been better is if it had rained. There are also a lot of places to sit and relax. You can play guitar, read, drink tea, and more! And of course a lot of places to take great pictures of your holiday. Finally, make sure to try their homemade plum liquor and to spend time with the cats! They are adorable (one took over my bed and we cuddled while I read)!!

Our stay at Naked Castle Resort was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. The hotel itself is extraordinary, beautifully designed with unique rooms that blend luxury, comfort, and nature perfectly. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated, even down to the wonderfully fragrant bath amenities that left a lasting impression on us. What made the experience even more special was the incredible team. The reception staff were consistently friendly and attentive. Nadia from the restaurant was especially communicative, informative, and always eager to help with recommendations and assistance. Willa was equally warm and professional, making every interaction pleasant and memorable. Manager Lily stood out with her quick responsiveness, kindness, and excellent leadership that could clearly be felt throughout the resort. We also truly appreciated the buggy driver who served shuttle service around the property, helpful, and ready to assist, adding another layer of comfort to our stay. Unfortunately, it rained during our arrival, which was a little disappointing because we had hoped to explore more of the beautiful surroundings and outdoor experiences the resort has to offer. Even so, the cozy atmosphere and outstanding hospitality still made our stay incredibly enjoyable. Naked Castle is not just a hotel, but an experience filled with beautiful surroundings, thoughtful details, and heartfelt service. We left with wonderful memories and would gladly return again in the future.

Good for taking beautiful photos for the social media but rather poor user experience. Aesthetics of this place are good, some corners are really charming. Still it is the comfort that we value the most in a hotel as well as the quality service and unfortunately they are not at the same level of the aesthetics. The room is huge but there is no sofa or chairs to sit and chat comfortably, just the two enormous heavy armchairs in the opposite corners of this long room. No mini bar/fridge, very poor lighting at the wash basin, impossible to do makeup. Zero privacy in the wc and shower since there are no actual doors there, just some short saloon style doors hanging in the middle, letting out the water from the shower and odors from the toilet. No hangers for the towels. No bathrobes provided which is strange for the hotel who’s main entertainment facility is the outdoor pool. At the outdoor pool there are very few deck chairs and no umbrellas at all. The communication was poor, mostly over wechat, since the staff speaks basically no English. We have asked twice, in advance, about the vegetarian option for breakfast and still they brought us meat in the breakfast set (only Chinese style food is available). Altogether the experience was rather disappointing. Glad to have booked just one night there. As for the surroundings, there is no access to the bamboo forest behind the hotel or across the road. And beware of the aggressive unleashed dogs in the village across the road if you decide to go for a stroll near the hotel.

民宿位於莫干山景區附近，環境比較安靜，因為是4月來住，游泳池還沒有水，圖書館的體驗還不錯，建議老闆對房間裏的佈置可以再實用一些，細節上稍微再改善一下，比如榻榻米上的懶人靠墊佔據了靠窗三分之二的空間，但靠墊上很容易落灰，不實用還佔據了屋內最佳位置。窗簾的遙控開關無效，窗簾勉強拉上，第二天卻被斜射進來第一縷晨光叫醒。馬桶坐墊上有幾處膠布貼過的粘漬痕跡，感覺不夠清潔。但總的來説，老闆還是很熱情的，忙前忙後提供了幫助，早餐也不錯。其實早餐的小酒吧，還是很有氛圍的，晚上的吃食比較單一，如能經營起來，應該挺不錯的。最後，祝願老闆生意興隆，把民宿經營的越來越好。

We recently stayed at Moganshan Mountain Villa for one night and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by stunning scenery that really allows you to appreciate the natural beauty of Moganshan. The interior of the hotel is also very pleasant, with comfortable and well-maintained facilities that make for a relaxing stay. The staff were helpful throughout our visit and were always willing to assist when needed. At times, however, some staff members came across as a little blunt. A warmer, friendlier approach and a few more smiles would help create an even more welcoming atmosphere for guests. There are also a couple of areas where the hotel could be improved. An outdoor table tennis table would be a great addition and would provide another enjoyable activity for guests. Additionally, my girlfriend got a splinter in her foot around the pool area, so it may be worth checking the surfaces there to ensure they are safe and well maintained. Despite these minor points, we had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. The location is fantastic, the surroundings are beautiful, and we would definitely stay here again in the future.

Moshangyin hotel is a wonderful place for a relaxing getaway in Moganshan. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, perfect for resting, slowing down, and enjoying nature away from busy city life. The interior design is beautifully done, creating a warm and comfortable environment from the moment you arrive. The room was excellent, very cozy and well-maintained, with a beautiful mountain view that makes the whole experience even more special. One of the highlights is the tea room, which is thoughtfully designed for tea preparation and relaxation. The decoration combines traditional and modern elements in a very tasteful way, with beautiful details, instruments, and carefully selected design pieces. The entire space feels artistic and calming. The property is surrounded by abundant greenery and plants everywhere, especially outdoors, which makes the environment feel fresh and natural. Sitting there and looking out toward the bamboo forests is incredibly peaceful and contemplative. Whether the weather is sunny or cloudy, the atmosphere remains equally pleasant and charming. Another lovely detail is the nearby stream—you can hear the gentle sound of flowing water, which adds even more tranquility to the stay. The staff are very kind, welcoming, and attentive, making guests feel comfortable, almost as if they are in their own natural home environment. The guests staying there are also respectful and pleasant, contributing to the calm atmosphere. Transportation is also very convenient, with taxis arriving quickly and reliably. There is a nearby village called Yucun that is lovely to visit, and many scenic areas around the hotel are easily accessible as well. Overall, this is an ideal place for anyone looking for peace, beautiful design, nature, and a truly relaxing experience in Moganshan.
