"the hotel is NOT 4 star we were assigned rooms in a nearby block.no blackout curtains in the rooms. Road noise and a generator noise, not able to sleep peacefully. There is a Dj playing on the opposite property late into the night. Breakfast menu is mediocre. the only plus is that Manager/staffs were helpful."

"I booked Hotel AC Mist through Goibibo for a family trip to Munnar. I was really disappointed with what I found. The place wasn’t really a hotel—it felt more like a dormitory inside a Christian hostel. When I arrived late in the evening, there was no one at the reception. After calling multiple times, someone finally showed up and let me in, but the room he gave us was tiny, had no fan, and definitely no air conditioning like the listing said. I had booked the room for two adults and two kids, but the room was cramped and in a dark, poorly lit part of the building, which made me worry about my kids’ safety. The overall atmosphere was really uncomfortable. When I tried contacting Goibibo’s customer care, there was no response, so I had to find another hotel last minute and pay extra. I told customer service about this, but they said there was nothing they could do because it was a non-refundable booking. That felt unfair since the place was nothing like what was promised online. I just want other travelers to know the truth before they book here."

"We didn't actually stay at this hotel. However, they do offer half-day and full-day hiking tours around Munnar, and we opted for the full-day experience. Our guide was Felix, and we set off punctually from the hotel. We hiked directly uphill through the tea plantations to the highest point. Once at the top, Felix served us a delicious breakfast of omelette, toast, and fresh fruit. The views were stunning! Felix thoughtfully left us to enjoy our breakfast while he went ahead to scout the path. Afterward, we faced a very steep and slippery descent through tall grass. It was quite challenging, as it was difficult to see where we were stepping. However, the remainder of the path was well-maintained. It was a beautiful hiking trail with lovely viewpoints. We also appreciated that Felix took us to another viewpoint for lunch, where he served us bread with a delicious potato curry. Felix was thoroughly professional as a guide throughout the tour. For instance, when we were having breakfast, he left us to scout the path ahead. He actually discovered a dangerous water buffalo, and we paused for about 30 minutes until the area was safe. Additionally, when one participant felt so unwell that they had to cut the hike short, Felix immediately attended to them and arranged for a tuk-tuk to take them back to the hotel. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this hiking tour!"

"Rooms are good. Clean and well maintained facility. Easy access to all the facilities and near to all tourist attractions. Food is really good, both veg and non-veg. Could create a kids play area at the back as it’s just a vacant area. Recreation room was under maintenance so hopefully that will be nicer once finished. "

"The hotel was average. We were provided a standard room for 3 people. The size of the room was quite small. You would expect a bigger room for the price you are paying (rs 3000/night. Also it's in the middle of the town so you can expect a lot of noise coming in to your room even in the night. The only advantage is that auto/taxi/bus stand is nearby."

"We stayed at Scenic Munnar by IHCL from June 1 to June 5 and had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The check-in was efficient and smooth. We had booked a twin-bed room with a balcony and had requested hard beds. This request was taken care of, which we appreciated. The property is beautifully situated in a valley, and the setting is truly memorable. The views are excellent, and the overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The room was spacious, with well-planned décor and a large balcony. The covered seating area in the balcony was particularly enjoyable. The bathroom was also well designed and spacious. The toiletries, which appear to have been standardised across the Taj group, were functional and of good quality. What consistently stands out in Taj group hotels is the quality of the staff, and this was true here as well. The team at reception, housekeeping, and the restaurant were courteous, helpful, and efficient. The only area that needs improvement is the complimentary high tea. The quality of the food served does not quite do justice to the Tata brand. It may be better either to discontinue it or to improve the quality significantly. One small safety-related point may be noted. There is a noticeable level difference between the passage and the entrance to the room, and also between the room and the balcony. The edges of these raised areas could be clearly marked or painted to caution guests, as I accidentally hit my foot twice during the stay. Overall, Scenic Munnar by IHCL is a well-located, well-managed property with excellent views, comfortable rooms, and very good service."
