"Uncomfortable double bed and yet Premier inn boast about buying the mattresses. Undercooked sausages for breakfast which was late being put on the servery. Toilet seat loose and swiveled when sat on. Impossible to turn the cold tap on to regulate the temperature for a bath."

"Had to change lodges when arrived due to water issue. We was placed in a like for like, that was great, just a shame about missing out on the views with the original lodge. Location fabulous, we went for an 8. 5mile walk and the hot tub was ready for when we arrived back. Would come again x"

"I have had the good fortune to stay here on several ocassions and it never fails to Impress! Set in a beautiful forest location, High Dalby House covers all the bases in spectacular fashion. The attention to detail in everything they do leaves you breathless. The grounds themselves are spectacular, from the Labyrinth and Chapel on one end to the Cwtch and reflective gardens on the other end, with many places to sit of recharge your batteries. This attention to detail continues inside the main house where the individual rooms are wonderfully appointed and the commons areas are warm and cozy. And to seal the deal, the food is wholesome and wonderfully presented, with every little whim of the guests catered to. This is a complete experience from beginning to end!"

"An excellent 'home from home' stay and a great location. It's a short walk to the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. A warm friendly welcome on arrival and we were shown immediately to our room. Our room (No6) has a great view and is spacious and bright. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Tea & Coffee making facilities along with biscuits were appreciated. The ensuite bathroom was spacious too and had complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was lovely, so many choices to pick and the portions were generous. A great place to stay!!"

"Pickering is a nice town. We took the steam train here and stayed there for one night. This hotel is similar to a family hotel, the environment is acceptable, but the services are basically non-existent. Breakfast includes two breakfasts, but an extra child has to buy it separately. Cold meals are 10 pounds and hot meals are 16 pounds. We say that the two adults who include breakfast will order hot meals, and the additional child will order cold meals. The waiter said that adults can order whatever they want on the menu and there is no quantity limit. We ordered several dishes in total, thinking they were all single items, but it turned out that each dish came with a side dish. We saw that we couldn't finish it and asked them to leave it. Don't serve the food that was served. At the end of the bill, they told us that we ordered more than two hot meals, and since the dishes that were not served would be counted, the children's portions must also be charged as hot meals. The argument failed, and they didn't listen to the explanation at all. And what's even more outrageous is that when we ordered, we clearly said that our children wanted cold meals, and we ordered more than three people. Why didn't the waiter remind us? ! The service is terrible!"

"Well what can I say, this was our sixth trip back to rocklands for two weeks this time and it was shear peace and relaxation just what you would expect at rocklands and nothing less.immaculately kept family run buisness who do everything to make your stay the best ever.if your looking for a peaceful relaxing and stress free holiday in a beautiful tranquil setting this is the place to go stay.the surrounding area provides many opportunities to explore, dalby forest being just one of the go to attractions on offer. then return back to a hot tub dip and bbq and relax on the terrace.so the decision is yours.....if its its peace and quiet your looking for you've got no further to look.we have booked our next holiday before we left and will be staying for three weeks next year....can I say any more..."
