"Stayed here on Fri 29th Nov. First impressions were good. all the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was well laid out, with a large warm bathroom. Plenty of space to move around. Our room overlooked the Christmas tree on the roundabout, which meant we had a bit of traffic noise through the night, but not intrusive or enough to disturb sleep. nice offering of teas, coffees, biscuits. Breakfast was made to order, so nice and hot with quality produce. we had a full cooked breakfast, which was delicious. If I'm being really picky, the shower lacked any power, which meant I had to take the shower head off the riser rail and crouch in the bath. Would definitely stay again and recommend."

"Great staff. arrived to find reception is a giant screen. Within a few seconds a member of staff came to our assistance and helped us through the process. I have to sleep on my back with the upper torso is elevated. I asked for some extra pills. Member of staff responded by promptly organising the pillows and bringing them to the room. No hesitation in commending the staff for their great service."

"My sister and I stayed at the Old Manse for 2 nights last weekend to attend a family celebration in the area. On arrival we were met by Valerie who after showing us our room made us a welcome cup of tea with biscuits We stayed in the garden room which was comfortable, just a pity the weather wasn't good enough to enjoy the lovely garden. We also had bathrobes which was unexpected but appreciated. On the first evening we enjoyed a drink in the lounge with some other guests. Breakfast on both mornings was well cooked and plenty of it. All of the staff we met were very friendly, helpful and cheerful from the waiting staff to David who had the misfortune of having to try to mend the light I had broken. The owner Valerie was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay, just a pity we only had two nights."

"This hotel is by far the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The hosts are what made our stay particularly enjoyable, they are the nicest and friendliest people. The rooms are bespoke and in keeping with the style and period of the house with a few modern additions such as the bathrooms. All of which are spotlessly clean. I have to add the bed was extremely comfortable and better than the one I have at home! Breakfast was a real treat and cooked to our liking. We also got to sample Ian's home made granola which was out of this world! The setting is tranquil and peaceful . This is a hotel that will be a farm favourite to return to in years to come. I can't recommend it highly enough."
