"It’s a well-run, family friendly hotel, with beautiful interior in a quiet part of Zelena Laguna. Food is good, plenty to choose from, there’s a non-dress code for dinner, casual is fine. Our superior garden view room was very nice and clean. We loved to chill under the pine trees and had long walks around the beautiful area. I would recommend it."

Cool for small kids, as a gamer I loved the gaming room with 7 PS5 which you can play for free (incl. in the hotel price). Greetings mainly to the pool bar crew ❤️"

"The location was great, close to the long-distance bus terminal. The entrance is inconspicuous, next to a kebab shop, so I walked right past it without noticing it at first. The single room was in the attic with only a skylight, offering a sky view. That's great, but part of the roof sags at an angle, so even though I was careful, I still hit my head on it a few times. Tall people should be especially careful!"

"I have been coming to this hotel since before the renovation, when it was called the Fortuna and Boris was at reception, and always loved it and the island. I must have visited 10 times at least. This year it felt as if something had been lost, a different atmosphere. With the exception of the concierge, the young lady who checked at the dining room door, and the lovely lady on the sausage cooking station at breakfast, where did all the smiles and welcome chats from the staff go? Our room cleaner didn't even seem to acknowledge us. Apart from that, no complants about the beautifully kept grounds, food was great, what alcoholic drinks we could have on all inclusive was a bit confusing though. I doubt I will return but only because of my mobility. I will always love Isabella Island."

"Currently half way through an 11 night stay with family and honestly can’t fault it here. I paid extra to have a sea view room and definitely worth it (photo below). Our room looks out over the pools and gardens. Great view from the balcony for the firework display on a Thursday night, which was like a firework display standard back home. Amazing!! Our room was spotlessly cleaned daily with fresh towels by the time we had returned from breakfast. All areas of the hotel and pool are kept very clean from what I’ve seen. I do get up to put the towels down but most hotels are like that. Breakfast - cereals, lots of different bread, biscuits, continental, cooked breakfast, fruit, yoghurts, decent coffee, variety of teas, juices, etc. All nicely presented and fresh. Lunch and dinner - two choices of soup, bread, pasta, pizza, fresh fish, meats, salads, cheeses, vegetables, rice, risotto, etc. Selection of cakes, fruit, yoghurts and ice cream for dessert. Nothing negative to say about the food, it’s been lovely. Decent wine and beer on tap too. If you like junk food then this isn’t the place for you I’m afraid. Not a chip or chicken nugget in sight thankfully! Good bar service with plenty of staff. There’s a coffee bar and snack bar, which does have chips available I believe. My 12 year old is in his element here with all the sports included. At least 12 quality clay tennis courts, eight table tennis tables, pedalos, kayaks, bikes, etc. We have taken full advantage of booking all this easily next to reception desk. The immediate area literally right outside hotel is great. All the sports on your doorstep, bars, restaurants and shops. Area is fairly quiet during the day. Does get busier in the evening. We’ve done a day trip to Slovenia (Lake Bled) which was absolutely stunning. Been on a BBQ boat trip to Rovinj which was a lovely old town with cobbled streets, harbour, lots of restaurants, etc. Day trip to Venice later in the week. We’ve used the bikes to ride into Porec which wasn’t far. It’s lovely there and worth a visit. It’s easy to get the little train into Porec for 4 euros each. You can also get a taxi or water taxi easily. It’s reasonably priced to eat/drink out everywhere we’ve been so far. Nice little bar across the road called Beach Volley I think. Great service and prices. The staff work really hard here to keep the place nice for the guests. We are having a lovely time and would definitely recommend. For the price we paid to come here I think it’s more than worth it."

"We paid almost €800 for two nights in a premium mobile home. Unfortunately, I have to say that the Day of Prayer and Repentance was in no way justified. Besides the fact that it was extremely crowded and the pool was actually too small for the number of guests (though perhaps that's to be expected in peak season), the mobile home was very run-down and unclean. There were several cobwebs on the ceiling, many areas were very worn, the air conditioning smelled musty, and the sofa was extremely tattered. When we arrived, there were no towels. They were brought to us after we asked. The opening hours of the "supermarket" (a slight exaggeration) are very short, and the surrounding area isn't particularly attractive either. (Which isn't the park's fault.) It's also a shame that some booking portals give the impression, based on the photos, that you have a private pool in addition to your own whirlpool. This is not the case with the premium mobile homes. We are certainly willing to pay for good accommodation, but in this case, the price is nowhere near the "premium" standard."

"This hotel is excellent, modern, clean and spacious. The facilities are very good, although the pools are quite deep, seemingly without shallow ends. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is of good quality and variety. The only downside is that we found meal times to be quite chaotic and challenging. Partly due to the volume of people and quite frankly, out of control children, at times. Location wise, the hotel is situated in Špadići which is a 25 minute stroll into the beautiful Porec. There is also a small train, every 40 minutes costing €2.50 each way. There are a few bars and restaurants near the hotel and the beach literally across the road. The beach is pretty much concrete but the sunsets are amazing. Porec is stunning and well worth a visit. We also visited Rovinj and Pula but found Porec to the be the nicest, although busy, and hot! The hotel attracts nationals of most European countries and on particular there seemed to be a lot of Austrian and German quests. There were few brits (which isn’t a bad thing as we aren’t fans of brits on the razz). We’d have given this hotel 5 stars, however meal times were an issue and we ate out for 3 out of our 7 nights due to this. This was our second trip to Croatia and would highly recommend a visit. The people are warm and friendly, the towns and scenery are stunning."

"The location in the middle of the pine forest is dreamy. We had only 2 minutes walk to the beach. The staff is very effort. The towels were changed daily, but I find somewhat over-reached.The choice at the food was great, It was only more often the accessories were only loudly. In the room there were only 2 sticks, but that can be easily offset with a distributor. For a room safe 3 Euro per day I find not understandable. On the last day, the floor and some beds at the pool were very polluted by the pines and it was not cleaned, which I find harmful because it reduces the positive impression. But we have decided to come back despite the little things!"

"A holiday in Croatia is a complete nightmare. We have been going to Croatia for years and have never experienced anything like this. Football kids from Italy who had no manners, manners or respect. The noise level was worse than a plane taking off late into the night, insults were the order of the day, the hotel staff were disrespected and physically attacked with plates and cutlery, people spit from the balcony and had no manners at the buffet. That was just a small selection. The hotel staff did what they could but achieved nothing. What a pity. The hotel won't be seeing us again any time soon."

"The hotel was great and in a beautiful location, just a 10 minute walk from everything you needed without feeling like you were in the middle of it all. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, although we tried to speak a little Croatian, their English was excellent so communicating wasn’t an issue. The food was fantastic with lots of variety and plenty available. The only criticism we would give is that we were surprised there wasn’t at least a glass of wine included with dinner. There was as much champagne as you wanted at breakfast (which was a little odd to us) but not a single drink included with the evening meal. The hotel itself didn’t have many facilities for young children but that suited us because our daughter is 16 but there’s plenty to do near the hotel for families of all ages and couples, including plenty of water sports. We rented an e-scooter locally which was great fun, did some lovely walks around the bay and found some beautiful secluded coves, lots of swimming and snorkelling and used the land train many times to go into Porec which is stunning. The Basillica is definitely worth a visit. Porec is beautiful and we will be back I'm sure!"

"We are currently staying at the Valamar Diamant. The location is excellent, the staff are very friendly and do an excellent job. But, the hotel itself is looking very tired our room is in need if some TLC, the air-conditioning does not work. We were told by reception that it is company policy to set the air-con at 25' hotel wide. This makes for a very uncomfortably hot room. The bathroom is very small and the water pressure in the shower is very low. The restaurant is very understaffed, the staff do a great job but they are flat out and drinks orders take a long time. The sunbed situation is frustrating, lots of towels left on sun beds for hours with no one sitting there. On the whole we are enjoying our stay but definite improvements needed."

"We loved this place, its just superb - yes basic in terms of the accommodation but honestly for the cost of what we paid for our Jet2 holiday I thought the value for money was brilliant. ACCOMMODATION: All I want as family of 4 (2 teens included) is CLEAN accommodation - yep perfectly clean and fresh towels came every day and, more than enough towels for us all and bedsheets on one of the days. The apartment (e had a 2 bedroom apartment with sofa bed in the sitting room) was amongst the pine and olive trees, nice and quiet but enough hustle and bustle about the place for it to be interesting to sit out with a cold beer and enjoy the setting. The apartment itself is a little small but actually for us we didn't really care about that, we like to be out exploring more than sitting inside for a long time .The bathroom is tiny weeny and i had to be careful not to catch my toes on the door as its so close to the shower cubicle but again we all got on fine in there. The aircon - works great and had the best nights sleep as it was so cool and dark in the room. it was perfectly fine for us to enjoy breakfast on the balcony, or for the teens to flop about the place before heading out or after a bunch of time in the pool. POOL : The pool is brilliant, nice and fresh, clean tidy, well looked after - kids loved it and it was a great relaxed family atmosphere. I didn't seen any mold or missing tiles, its was perfectly lovely. There is a big pool and little paddling pool. When you arrive you get a towel card so you get nice fresh towels by the pool which was great! ONSITE RESTAURANT: The restaurant by the pool is great - the chap that served us our drinks and food each time we popped in was SO friendly and smiley and happy and made us so welcome. The food was spot on, served nicely and we all enjoyed capri salad, pizza and icecream together. Breakfast there was great and prices were fine for us, very reasonable. LOCATION: There are a lot of steps to the apartments - yes there are steps but its on a bit of a hill so how else do you expect to get up and down - it wasn't an issue for us at all and my son loves to moan about stuff like that but never said a peep as he was having a nice holiday. We found the location great and it is literally right next to the sea! POREC: - so for us with a 15 year old and 13 year old they were happy to stroll along the flat coast path to Porec most days and walk back on an evening - it was quite exciting for them to see the little bars on the coast. It takes about 40 mins just strolling not rushing and is mostly the in the shade. The land train uses the same path - no probs with that at all. Porec is great, loads of hustle and bustle, markets all along the harbour, loads of cafes and little restaurants and heaps of shops with touristy stuff in. Night time felt really safe and the waiters trying to get your custom are polite and not intrusive so its all very family friendly and relaxed and welcoming. TRAIN TO POREC: The"

"Hotel located in a great location, near the port and two steps from the center. But now we come to the negative sides: Parking for a cost which is far from the hotel, so you need to enjoy the shipping provided by the hotel, which is not always available and walking, with 35 degrees is not the maximum. The room was very noisy because of a room that makes a nice music until 4 a.m. (right in front of our room). We stayed for two nights and our room was not clean. We didn't want much, but at least make the beds, and put clean towels ..."

"I don't often write reviews but I wanted to write my honest reflections to hopefully make people feel better who have booked. I felt quite anxious before arrival based on reviews I had read but I didn't need to worry at all. Upon arrival we were allocated a room on the third floor facing the pool. Our daughter is a tall 11 and the tiny sofa bed probably was more suited to a 3/4 year old at best. We hate complaining but my husband chatted to Reception and they were fantastic. They reallocated us to a room on the second floor at the front of the hotel which was much bigger, had a decent single sized sofa bed and a stunning view of Porec and out to sea. It was all dealt with extremely quickly and efficiently. The room itself is well equipped and the housekeeping service are great. Very friendly and always try and work around when they know you are out. The All Inclusive package isn't the most comprehensive we have had but it is fine and has catered for what we need. The breakfast food is beautiful and varied. Lunch is slightly limited. I would love to see some more healthier options. There is limited salad but I struggled finding a protein to go with it other than pork which I didn't want every day. Dinner has plenty of options. It is of a similar variety each night with some variation. The fresh fish night was definitely our favourite. All food is lovely and fresh and cooked infront of you which I like. If you are a big drinker you may find the drinks package a bit limited. For us, it is absolutely fine as my husband always likes to drink local beer and myself and my daughter were happy with the soft drink options. There are also some limited spirits included. Breakfast, lunch, a snack and dinner are included so there is food available pretty much all day from the main restaurant. If you want ice cream and snacks from other outlets you do need to pay. The hotel and grounds are absolutely immaculate. We are early risers and watched with amazement each morning as a small army thoroughly cleaned and pruned the grounds. There is even a lovely young lady who comes over a couple of times a day with a Hawk to move the seagulls away, which come part and parcel with being at the seaside. We very much enjoy chatting to her and she is extremely knowledgeable. The hotel really do think of everything to try and ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable time. Sunbed availability goes fast as we are here in high season but we always managed to get somewhere, usually down by the beach as we love being down here. There are roped off swimming areas, with jetties to slide or jump off. They could do with the ladders being reattached as we have seen a few people cut themselves pulling up onto them. The pool is fairly small for the amount of people here but it is nice, well kept and has 2 slides which my daughter enjoys. We just prefer the laid back vibe on the beach and enjoyed watching the boats go by. The island is lovely. We enjoyed daily walks around the is"
