Hotel Romantik di Zhoushan

An excellent stay on Shengshan Island. Before we even arrived, the owner already contacted us on WeChat with information about our stay and gave us very comprehensive tips for our stay. The hotel is very conveniently located, next to the boat port, the main entry onto Shengshan, and it is just across it. The owner was waiting for us when we arrived off the boat and helped us get our luggage. They have a very convenient luggage lift which means that you don't have to lug anything up the stairs. The hotel feels clean, luxurious, comfy and homely at the same time. It is a family run hotel and the reception is very warm. Our room was very clean and everything that was needed was provided. The view was spectacular from our room (image provided). The bed was very comfy and the lounger was perfect for watching the sea within the comfort of your room. The pool downstairs is great to cool off after a day out exploring. The breakfast provided was very nice and simple, some youtiao (Chinese fried dough, similar to churros), soy milk and sweet and savoury buns. All in all an excellent experience, and we thank the hosts for everything.

Everything was excellent! The hotel is very stylish, well maintained, clean. All is managed with love and care, every detail. Their sunsets are famous, but in 10 minutes of walk you'll also find a place to watch sunrise. The food is very tasty, too. However, what I would like to note paticularly, is the way they treat guests. All my questions were answered immediately, and they helped me a lot with booking the ferry tickets! The boss and all others are super helpful, nice and friendly! I stayed there only one night, but they treated me as if I were their favourite guest! Pick-up and transfer in the most convenient way, continuous contact via WeChat, preparing the dinner special for me and serving it outside - everything was done to make me feeling relaxed and happy. To be quite honest when we booked this hotel for one night only we didn’t have very high hopes for it. However, the contrary happened. Hilton Zhoushan turned out to be amazing; literally from the first minute that we stepped in we were greeted warmly by front desk staff. They speak very good English and the GM was very nice; once he realised that it’s our little daughter’s first birthday they offered cake and candles. They also brought a nice crib for the baby. Every single staff member’s behaviour was professional and friendly and respectful. On the 19th floor we had an amazing view of the lake and the surrounding landscape. We had a great time and will definitely come back.

Booked this Hotel because the location is very near to Western Heaven Scenic Area, one of the places that I must visit for this trip, the last trip I miss. The location is also very near to amenities, there is a vegetarian restaurant.

Мы бронировали два номера для нашей компании и наш отдых был потрясающим начиная от покупки билетов на паром, когда владелец отеля купил для нас билеты, заканчивая проживанием, помощью с арендой машинок для прогулки к маяку. Номера удобные, в них получаются красивые фотографии, бассейн был чистым, детям очень понравилось купаться в нём, обязательно будем советовать ваш отель своим знакомым.

Hotel is near Puji Temple but has really thin walls. The room is in a bad state could tell that it’s time for a makeover.

Service by the guy who picked us up from the airport is excellent. 10/10!!! Our luggage was damaged during the flight, he called someone to help us repair it. We were short on time for the ferry sailing to Mt Putuo due the weather conditions, that day sailings will be cancelled, (we got to chat in the van when he picked us up from the airport), he said we can just leave the luggages at the front desk and then hurriedly sent us to the port, good thing we made it. That's superb customer service!!! He didn't even want to get a tip, eventually we gave him some dried mango packs from the Philippines. The front desk guy though is a different story, he was super slow, did not know how to handle checking in of foreign passport holders I think. He has our passports and had to ask us our birthdays!! It was also difficult for him to understand the visa dates (expiry and issue dates), and he kept on asking when we arrived, it is just there stamped opposite the visa page, we just actually arrived that day, this is our first hotel. Anyway, free pick up from the airport is best and free sending to the port and then lastly also to the bus station. Great service.

We are a big group. Good shuttle service going to hotel. However going back, they didn't inform us that their big van had issues. So when we were there for going back to the ferry, we had to go in batches. Other than that, the trip was peaceful. Outside resto is very famous but food was not spectacular but it was okay. Room smells moldy or cigarette, we got the rooms with windows. Strong shower, nice smelling shampoo, conditioner and lotion.

Beautiful retreat nestled in PutuoShan. Though hotel has not been renovated for some time the facilities remain in good condition. Beds were comfortable. Though we had some issues with the air conditioning in the winter the rooms were warm and we did not have to switch on the heater. The hotel organises tea classes and sutra writing which was therapeutic. Only issue is hotel is intended for domestic audience so very little english is used. One has to be able to speak chinese. All in all recommended for any spiritual retreat.. without compromising the luxuries of a premier hotel.

Noise in the room when the restaurant downstairs is busy . Overall is good. Good location . Restaurant next door serves good breakfast and meals. Staff is friendly and helpful.
