Hotel Hangzhou dengan Spa

Our party of 3 adults spent 3 nights at the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort in early 12/2024.  We came to Fuchun to see the scenaries that had inspired the famous 富春山居圖 painting.  We booked 2 basic rooms (Linyin Garden View), but received free upgrades (Guizhou Lake View) at check in.  I must admit our initial feelings as we arrived was one of creeping doubt, because the Fuyang city streets we had driven through (we drove in from the Hangzhou Xihu area) were very industrial, just giant factories one after another and the immediate area outside the property was just a bunch of small suburban farm homes and shops.  Furthermore, as our car pulled up to the front lobby entrance, no one greeted us.  Not a soul was in sight.  Our driver had to poke his head inside and announce guests are here and service is needed.  From there on, however, things only got better and better.  So, yes, this was a quiet property.  There wasn’t a lot of staff standing about.  But, there was enough personnel to provide all the basic services expected.  And I found they were very friendly, quick to respond, and efficient.  During our 3.5 days here, we explored and enjoyed this beautiful hotel inside and out.  The hotel itself (the main building) was simply grand.  Its design and decor was a perfect balance of East Meets West, modernized traditional, understated elegance.  The layout was a bit of a labyrinth.  There were wings, corridors, and stairs you can go down to find restaurants, spa/gym/pool, conference rooms, sitting nooks, a small boat dock, and even an impressive collection of embroidery art on display.  Our rooms were large and airy, spotless, the ceiling was high, and the windows opened onto the lake.  The bathroom was spacious with a double sink and lots of counter space.  Beds and pillows were very comfortable, definitely in line with 5 star international standards.  Outside, there was a man-made lake with 2 groups of swans (or were they white geese?).  They crisscrossed the lake during the day and slept below our windows at night.  There was also a little children’s playground (with a pair of ducks) and what looked like a small amphitheater.  Several short paths allowed us to walk the sizable grounds.  Early one morning, we followed one across a little brook to the edge of the tea terrace.  Another morning, we strolled down a road flanked by bamboo that led to the beautiful villas that stood apart from the main hotel.  Everywhere, the atmosphere was tranquil and the views spectacular.  We ate most of our meals at the hotel since we were unfamiliar with the area and didn’t really want to go out looking (this was the end of a 2 week trip).  We tried both of the restaurants on-site (the Chinese and the Western/Fusion) and thought they were fine overall, since food/ingredients were fresh and of good quality.  Taste and craft were okay, not great but acceptable.  In truth, we were probably not too demanding at this point, as we had already gorged out during our previous stay in the HZ/Xihu area.  In summary, our family really liked the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort.  We were very comfortable during our short stay.  We really appreciated the quiet calmness of the place as well as the warm service provided by the entire staff.  We would love to return.  It was an easy car ride from the HZ city area, and it was easy to hire cars to nearby and more distant attractions.  Lastly, for those interested in the 富春山居圖, there is a replica of the painting (both parts and to scale) displayed downstairs in the spa :)

We absolutely love this hotel!! We have been here several times since 2011. It is located a little away from West Lake, with didi that it is so easy to get around! And it is absolutely vital that you can get a break from all the crowds and noise of the big city when you get back to your hotel. Rose Garden is surrounded by green trees and mountains, it’s quite and calm and the outside swimming pool is such an oasis. If it’s raining and thundering, too hot or too cold the indoor pool is also really good, and there are nice sofas around the pool for enjoying yourself. The staff is incredible!!! They are quietly there and super aware of you and your needs. They, especially Stone the manager, helped my husband so much with him planing a surprise visit on our wedding anniversary, they made sure he got upgraded to a better room so he was next to us, helped him send flowers, made a cake for us from them and kept the whole thing a secret from me🌹🩷 They helped me and my daughters order tea to be delivered to the hotel, send a package to a friend in China, remember what we liked to eat and drink in the morning and always kind and aware. I know they work hard and still they always smile at us and are ready to help!! Most of them have worked there for many many years, so they know what they’re doing 👌 I am so grateful, because they are a big part of our visits being so memorable! The hotel is so clean, the rooms a beautiful and spacious and there is a coffee machine in the room 🙏🏻 the restaurant in the hotel is really good Chinese food the Cafe cand make some good western food choices, drinks and ice cream, the breakfast buffet offers a huge selection of Chinese food and western food and fruit, children’s buffet with candyfloss and fun for kids. The whole hotel is quite, tranquil, beautiful, clean and cozy!!! We always get a little sad when we leave and even though we want to travel to se other parts of the world, we always have Rose Garden and Hangzhou in our hearts and plans to come back. And we will🌹🤝🩷

Everything about my stay at Vance Hotel was wonderful from check-in to check-out. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and eager to help in every way possible, which made the experience feel warm and comfortable from the moment I arrived. I would like to especially recognize the front desk staff member, 剑兰, whose friendliness and professionalism made a big difference during my stay. He provided excellent service, was always approachable, and ensured everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. His warm attitude truly enhanced my overall experience. A special mention goes to the housekeeper on my floor, who was truly exceptional. She was always smiling, enthusiastic, and genuinely eager to help and fulfill any requests. Her positive attitude and passion for her work stood out and made a lasting impression on me. Out of all the hotels I have stayed at, she is honestly one of the best employees I have encountered. Her level of service was so outstanding that I even left her a personal note to thank her for the amazing job she did during my stay. Vance Hotel should be proud to have employees like her and should recognize and reward staff members who consistently provide this level of care and service. Thank you for such a memorable stay. I will definitely be back again on my next visit!

Overall, this hotel succeeds in looking like a traditional Japanese ryokkan, but unfortunately doesn't feel like one due to many important features missing. If you've stayed at a ryokkan in Japan, this one misses the mark, but potentially is not a problem as it is catered towards Chinese people. As a foreigner accustomed to Japanese standards, you might be disappointed. It's very clean and modern, with a ”private” bath that looks like a traditional private onsen bath. The dinner was average, with the yakitori being the highlight. Breakfast was Chinese food, which took away from the immersion. As far as experience goes, the main problems here were the details that broke from the immersiveness of being at a traditional ryokkan. These include a lack of privacy, inexperienced staff, out of theme food options, and other details such as not using true hot spring water and the bath being only partly Hinoki wood. The privacy concern is because if you have the courtyard room, you have a ”private” courtyard and bath, but in the morning a worker was outside in the courtyard with full view of my bath. This felt very uncomfortable and I no longer felt relaxed or at peace, and needed to close all the blinds which ruined the point of having an open courtyard. It was worth a try, and definitely a beautiful space. But I couldn't help but feel disappointed as the important details were missed in this recreation of a ryokkan.

Pleasant stay at this hotel with alot of scenic locations for phototaking, rooms were huge and clean too. The Michelin restaurant was superb and highly value for money as well, dishes and desserts were both fantastic. There was also a huge indoor playground for kids which is a huge plus point for us. I had a photoshoot done with the hotel and the lady who did my hair and makeup was EXCELLENT, i really loved her skills and technique. Photographer was also super accomodating and patient. Thank you to the photostudio for an amazing job. My only feedback is that the lobby was constantly filled with smoke smell, so if that could be mitigated it would have be excellent.

Overall, this was a good stay with some truly special aspects, but also a few areas that could be improved. The hotel is quite remote, which makes it feel very private and peaceful, surrounded by nature such as the lake, forest, and mountains. Even though we visited other viewpoints around Qiandao Lake, this location felt more special because of its quiet and secluded setting. The hotel itself feels like a destination, with scenic viewpoints, a garden with a lake, a cave, and even trekking trails to explore. The garden area includes a swan lake, which is a nice idea. However, the swans are kept in a very small netted space. It does not look great visually and feels restrictive for the animals, which took away from the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed that was not too soft or too hard. Sound insulation was excellent, which made for great sleep. I also requested a firmer pillow, and it was provided quickly. The lake view room upgrade was a highlight. The view was stunning and made it hard to leave the room. If you stay here, I would strongly recommend booking a lake view room. The layout was nice, with both a balcony and a window view. The thick frame dividing the view slightly affected the overall feel, but it was not a major issue. The bathtub was also a nice addition. Cleaning was good overall. The AC did not work very well during the hot midday hours, although it was fine at other times of the day. Facilities such as the gym, yoga room, pool, and game room were nice additions. However, they felt quite standard for a five-star hotel, and I have experienced better quality in similar properties. One great feature was the free Tesla charging, but this was not communicated at all. We only discovered it by chance, which is a missed opportunity as it is a strong benefit. Breakfast was acceptable but not at the expected level. The coffee and bakery were the weakest parts. Ordering is done via QR code instead of in person, which felt a bit impersonal for a luxury hotel atmosphere. Service during breakfast also felt a bit off, as staff seemed focused on their tasks and were not very proactive in guiding or prioritizing guests, which made the experience feel less warm and not the kindest. Service was generally kind and friendly, but inconsistent at times. Some staff could benefit from additional training, as not everyone followed typical five-star service standards such as greeting guests or offering priority. Another disappointment was the welcome fruit, which was included in our package but not provided on arrival. After we asked, a staff member came carrying items for multiple rooms in a bag and handed us just one apple and one peach. This felt unprofessional although something very small. Another point worth noting is that the hotel was originally booked as an InterContinental, but about 1-2 weeks before arrival it was no longer part of the brand (somehow on Trip.com it still says intercontinental). Not sure if this impacted the experience, but overall it did feel slightly below what you might expect from that level, even though the stay itself was still enjoyable. The hotel also offers free Tesla charging, which is a great feature. However, this was not communicated at all during or before our stay, and we only discovered it by chance. This feels like a missed opportunity, as it is a strong benefit that could add significant value for guests I did not try lunch or dinner, so I cannot comment on those. Overall, this is a very peaceful and unique stay with amazing natural surroundings and a beautiful lake view. However, some service and operational details need improvement to truly match a luxury standard.

Very nice and comfy hotel. Good location with around 10 mins walks from the HangZhou east station. Breakfast was nice and there was free self-service washing machine and dryer.

An unforgettable luxury wellness retreat. I discovered Xixi Xin Hotel while searching for a peaceful escape, and it exceeded every expectation. The architecture is breathtaking, blending traditional Chinese culture with modern luxury in a way that feels elegant, authentic and incredibly calming. The attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional. The suites are beautifully designed with natural, eco-friendly materials that create an instantly grounding atmosphere. Upon entering, you’re welcomed by a Marshall speaker with a curated selection of nature sounds—waves, birds, rustling leaves and crackling fire—setting the tone for complete relaxation. The bathroom is equally impressive, with beautiful curtains opening to a soaking spa prepared daily with fresh rose petals and natural bath salts. Thoughtful touches such as soft linen loungewear and complimentary disposable swimwear made the experience feel effortlessly luxurious. Service is truly five-star. Each suite is assigned a personal butler who is attentive, responsive and genuinely committed to making your stay effortless. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the hospitality was warm, personal and sincere. I was initially hesitant about the vegetarian restaurant, but it was one of the highlights of my stay. The dishes were nutritious, beautifully presented and worthy of fine dining, while still being surprisingly filling. For those who prefer meat, there are also excellent restaurants nearby. The wellness program is outstanding, with daily yoga, Tai Chi, sound baths, traditional Chinese medicine consultations and other healing experiences. Classes run for around an hour and are led by knowledgeable instructors who genuinely care about your wellbeing, creating a deeply relaxing and restorative experience. With only around 8–10 suites, the hotel remains wonderfully quiet and intimate, allowing guests to completely disconnect from the outside world. After just three nights, I left feeling genuinely relaxed, grounded and restored. A rare hidden gem that combines exceptional architecture, thoughtful design, impeccable service and meaningful wellness experiences. If you’re looking for a peaceful five-star retreat focused on luxury, wellness and tranquillity, I couldn’t recommend Xixi Xin Hotel more highly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The hotel is beautiful. My room had a great view. It's quiet and serene. The staff speaks English and they are very polite and very helpful! The hotels has 2 restaurants and neither of them serves food all day. There is no restaurant nearby. So if you arrive hungry then you stay hungry. The TV in the room has terrible sound, as If TV speakers are removed on purpose. The rooms don't have sound insulation may be that's why TV's speakers have been removed.

Amongst the 3 hotels we stayed during this trip, Conrad is the best! The hotel interior is nice - modern and trendy! Best experience is that they offer Byredo products, and the scent is nice! Their breakfast variety is quite a lot - got dim sum, porridge, noodle, egg station, etc… We were told the queue will be long after 9am, so we woke up earlier to have breakfast and indeed if come after 9am, there will be a long queue. The hotel is located 20-30 minutes away from 西湖. If only come to Hangzhou for a day trip as a tourist, then this may not be a good option! Otherwise, everything else is good!
