Hotel Dengan WiFi di Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina

Por dónde comenzar? Vamos por partes: LLEGADA: Mal recibimiento. La empleada mal educada que estaba en la recepción ni buenos días ni bienvenidos ni nada! Abre un cuaderno y te hace anotarte. Te da la llave de la habitación y arréglate. Nos dieron habitación en el 3er piso. El “hotel” no tiene ascensor así que 3 pisos por escaleras!!! Único punto a favor es la ubicación, a media cuadra de Av. San Martin (la principal). HABITACIÓN: las fotos eran maravillosas!!! Al ingresar, casi no cabíamos los dos!!! Muy poco espacio, sin caja de seguridad, puerta con llave normal, nada de tarjeta y esas cosas!!! Azulejos sueltos en el baño!!! Lo único rescatable la calefacción el resto……Sin palabras!!! EMPLEADA DE LIMPIEZA: te golpea la puerta para ver si queres la limpieza xq una vez que va al piso de abajo no sube “xq me cansa subir y bajar”. Acaso no le pagan por limpiar?? DESAYUNO: desayunar o no era lo mismo!!! Medialunas, tostadas (viejas, duras o gomosas), café, leche y agua para te o mate cocido con un hermoso cartel pidiendo pensar en los demás y solo consumir 2 medialunas!! PERSONAL DE RECEPCIÓN: ni buen día, ni buenas tardes, ni buenas noches. Lo que les preguntes no saben, no te miran a la cara y están en otra!!! SALIDA DEL HOTEL: el check out es si o si a las 10 am. Al tener el vuelo mucho más tarde pedimos dejar las valijas. Nos hacían dejarlas en el medio del comedor, lugar por donde circula gente todo el tiempo. Acaso no deberían tener un cuarto o algún espacio seguro para estas ocasiones? Y la “tan educada” de la empleada diciendo: acá nunca desapareció nada! Error señorita: nos perdieron la llave de la habitación una mañana y nos querían culpar a nosotros!!! Si después de leer todo esto te quedaron ganas de visitar este hotel para tu estadía en Ushuaia: TE COMPADEZCO!!! Una vergüenza para los turistas que haya lugares y gente como esta que hacen que tu estadía sea triste y la pases mal!!!

Despite its name, this isn't what North Americans consider a hostel. All the rooms are separate, with baths n suite. Our room was spotless. the linens were high quality. The window opened onto a small rose garden. The staff were helpful. Most spoke English but welcomed Spanish -- even our Tex Mex variety. Although it is only two blocks above Ushuaia's main street and three blocks from the port, the neighborhood was quiet. The included breakfast was a rather modest continental version, but plenty to tide us over until a more substantial lunch or brunch at one of the restaurants nearby.

Wow, I love and miss great hostel for beautiful views of sea 🌊 and mountains ⛰️, wonderfully bigger heavy breakfast with good quality breads 🍞 👌 ❤️ 👏, great warm room and they helped me disability. I will be re-booking hostel in November again.

Excelente ubicación. En calle principal, free shop, restaurantes, locales de souvenirs, ropa, excursiones, todo al alcance de la mano. A 2 cuadras del puerto. Tiene conexión con una pizzería, muy ricas, dónde también se sirve el desayuno. Todos los de recepción son amables, en mayor o menor medida, pero nos sentimos bien atendidos. En especial una señorita (perdón que no recuerdo el nombre) pero recuerdo que comento que es de Buenos Aires. Muy amable. Y un muchacho que alguna vez compartió turno con ella también. Las habitaciones que conocimos (eramos varias personas) son cómodas. Con baño completo: toallas, shampoo, acondicionador, jabón, papel, secador de pelo. Buen caudal de agua. Camas muy cómodas, sabanas y almohadas de calidad. El hotel no cuenta con cocheras, pero se puede estacionar sin cargo en varios lugares a dos cuadras en la costa o en las calles de los costados o paralelas. No en la misma del hotel. Estacionamiento prohibido.

I hate leaving bad reviews; travelling here from the US was a long and exhausting process. I arrived at 07:30, way ahead of check in, and didn't expect a room, but maybe a place where I could sit and have coffee. Gentlemen at the desk said coffee was part of breakfast buffet, that I needed to wait until I was checked in for the next day. Really? I couldn't have coffee even though I was booked here two nights? Wow. I got checked in at 1, which was fine, but the room was uncomfortably warm. I found the thermostat and turned the heat to cool. Tried to nap (up all night traveling here), but it was too warm. And, I heard people talking like they were in my room. They were in an adjacent room - talking in normal voices - no sound barrier at all! I set the air to the coldest setting and left, returned a couple of hours later and the room was hot. I called the front desk and was told no air conditioning and to open a window. Loud construction and traffic - and the neighbors talking = no sleep again. Day 2, repeat. New neighbors talking, room still hot, loud noises out the window. The hotel also offers free WiFi, but it was slow and intermittent at best. Just terrible. I thought I would give them a pass on that since we were at the ”end of the world,” but found the restaurants I ate at had good WiFi. Asides: no water or coffee available except until 10:00. The bigger issue was water, as the guides I read claimed ”tap water in Ushuaia is not potable.” I've traveled to Africa (several times), Borneo, Thailand, Norway, S Korea, Costa Rica - every place I've stayed provided water, and most had coffee or other beverages available throughout the day as complimentary. To be fair, they provided bottled water in the rooms - but in the mini bar for a price. And breakfast? The breakfast plates they provide are the size of coffee saucers! And the first thing they took away from the breakfast bar was the coffee pot!! So - not impressed. I would not stay here again.

The hotel seems brand new: rooms are spacious, comfortable (the bed in particular) with all the facilities required, bedrooms' furniture is new and luxurious. I loved the warm feeling experienced in the way back to the hotel after a long day out in the cold. There's a 20% discount if you eat in the on-site restaurant and they also do room service. 24/7 reception, kind staff and nice breakfast. The cleaning service was perfect. Just a few suggestions: I would have appreciated bacon in the morning. The bread served for dinner is very dry, seems old. WiFi very slow in peak hours. All in all, a great experience.

I went there for 4 days, and had a luxury experience. The accommodations and food were great. Don't miss the included activities, like archery and trekking. Fer (trekking) gave us a very nice and enlightening experience while walking the trails. Same for the archery couple (whose names I don't remember), as they were very passionate for the activity. Would definitely consider the hotel for a future trip.

Excelente ubicación. En calle principal, free shop, restaurantes, locales de souvenirs, ropa, excursiones, todo al alcance de la mano. A 2 cuadras del puerto. Tiene conexión con una pizzería, muy ricas, dónde también se sirve el desayuno. Todos los de recepción son amables, en mayor o menor medida, pero nos sentimos bien atendidos.
