Hotel Dengan Pools di Taiwan, China

Overall our stay was great! This was our first time in Taiwan Kenting, we were looking for somewhere easy to go from Macau with nice holiday beach feel.  We used to go to Thailand but we wanted a change this time. Location wise it’s very convenient 2 mins walk to the night market where you have tons of food options, street stalls or restaurants wise. You have couples of 7 elevens, family mart, watsons all you need in case you forget to pack something.  There’s bus station “xiaowan” very convenient for sightseeing if you don’t rent a car. Pretty on time and big coaches very comfortable with AC. In terms of amenities, we thought the hotel could have more beach amenities, beach bar or restaurants would add a huge value for the hotel. Many families would stay all day by the beach if they have bar/restaurant. It was a shame its was closed… Also the sun lounges could be a bit more comfortable simply just add a thin cushions on top. And again would be great to have a bar for quick bite by the pool. Our room was the ground floor ones with Jacuzzi, it was a lovely touch since they don’t have bathtub in the bathroom. The little garden is a great touch for morning meditation. :) We also did a nighttime activity with the hotel by the beach to hunt crabs. It was a great activity and the staff did a great job explaining and helping out. Food wise, we had breakfast buffet in all 5 days, it was a big selection of food but not much variety. We had a lunch by lobby bar… but was not up to our taste unfortunately. There is much better options outside or hotel. Oh and they did a little decoration since it was my bday and offered a cheesecake to the room by a robot :). All in all it was a great experience hopefully they will step up the pool and beach area.

The location is absolutely superb. We had a quadruple lake-view room, offering an unparalleled, front-row view of Sun Moon Lake. The building itself is entirely constructed of wood, and you can enjoy a subtle, pleasant woody aroma throughout. As it's a wooden structure, you can sometimes hear footsteps from the room above. However, this wasn't a significant problem, as things quieted down considerably once guests settled in for the night.

A man at the front was not that friendly, but the woman at the front was so nice. She was so friendly. Location of this hotel was just two or three minutes walk from mrt cianjin station. Cleanliness… the building was kinda old but the bed, lobby were clean. The only problem was the room. I saw a cockroach in the room….

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in. Super clean, comfortable, staff is super attentive and friendly.. really everything perfect. It was my birthday when I checked out and they even gave me a present.. unbelievably nice! I would always come back here and can highly recommend. And the pool is awesome too! Great place!!

This time I came specifically to see the Fireworks Festival. There was a shuttle bus to Guanyin Pavilion at the door of the hotel, which was very convenient. The hotel refrigerator had limited edition Golden Three Wheat Cactus and Feng Rucao beer, which was really great! The swimming pool and the gym are very satisfactory, and the breakfast also scored 85 points. Although the attitude of some temporary staff needs to be improved, the other 99% of the staff are great. It is a very family-friendly hotel with a parking lot, which is very convenient!

I've stayed here several times now. It's a hotel with a good value for money. The public lounge area in the lobby is great for meeting clients, and they offer free coffee and snacks. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: Elegant and suitable for business discussions. Service: Enthusiastic service. Facilities: Complete basic amenities.

Found myself back in Silks again, my only choice in Tainan. Seemed to have met (or just felt like it) top notch staff. Conrad recognizing me and my girlfriend on arrival. Tried the swimming pool for the very first time. Quite crowded during the day but a great place to chill in the evening. Look forward to returning to Silks again already.

Having stayed at the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel in Kaohsiung last year and absolutely loved it, it was naturally our top choice again when we visited Kaohsiung this year. The Grand Hi-Lai boasts an impressive lobby, top-notch service, and an excellent location near Kaohsiung Port and the Love River, not to mention the department store and food court downstairs. Their breakfast is also first-class, with great quality and a wide variety of options.

The hotel is conveniently located near Tainan Railway Station. Just to clarify, this is the conventional (TRA) train station, not the High-Speed Rail (HSR) station. If you arrive by HSR, you can catch a local train from Shalun Station to Tainan Station; trains depart every half hour. Rooms are quite spacious, but the sound insulation isn't great – you can easily hear activity from outside the door. Bottled water isn't provided in the rooms; however, each floor has a water dispenser for guests to use.

You can walk to the hotel from Xincheng station in about 20 minutes. There is a shuttle that takes you from the hotel to either Xincheng or Hualien station for free, which I appreciate. The immediate area around the hotel and from Xincheng station is quite remote and there are basically no stores or restaurants open. Thus you will probably have to eat all meals at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant itself is pretty good though and the pricing is reasonable, all things considered. The main benefit of the hotel is the hotel pool. Personally i have a bit of mixed feelings about the pool because the view of the ocean and the beach is partially blocked by some trees, however, overall it is indeed a nice view especially of the mountains in the back. You can also walk to the beach in a few minutes, which is convenient. Service is good. Overall if you are planning to check out Hualien but don't plan to go to Taroko gorge, I think this is a decent option.
