We had a lovely one night stay. It is conveniently located close to the motorway system, Belfast and the airport - we had an early morning check for the ferry home and it was an ideal location. The public areas of the hotel are stunning with an amazing staircase and gallery along with cosy bar areas and a restaurant overlooking the river. The gardens are very sweet and you can't miss the tree of peace and unity - or the 5 delightful peacocks! Our bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. Very good free wi-fi, excellent heating system and a comfy, huge bed. Great shower and nice toiletries and clean. We had a very relaxing drink in the bar which overlooks the garden - so relaxing that I never got to try out the spa facilities - hopefully next time. We had a very enjoyable dinner. A good selection for each course, very well cooked, generous portions and thoughtfully presented. Thoroughly enjoyable and well priced too. Breakfast was buffet style. We skipped the tempting full Irish and especially liked the very fresh fruit salad and yogurt. But what really made this hotel special for us were the people who work there. From the moment we arrived until we left they were all so very friendly, helpful, caring, accommodating, amusing and happy to spend a few moments chatting. Nothing was too much trouble. So when I have a minute I shall be booking a return stay there at the end of next year's trip to Northern Ireland - and may be this time I'll check out the Spa!

The hotel was good, and the breakfast was nice. The first two days we had breakfast made by request, meaning the food was very fresh. On one day we had a buffet breakfast and some items were not great. Staff were all lovely and really helpful. Lots of parking and good location at the Junction. There was no kitchen open at all during our stay, which was quite inconvenient.

First time staying, will definitely be back ! We stayed last weekend for our wedding anniversary. Check in isn’t until 4pm but we were well aware of this in our booking. Great outside area to watch the golfers and have a few drinks. Had a visit to the Halcyon Spa and it was amazing ! Dinner was superb in the restaurant, sea bass and chowder were perfect. Breakfast was also excellent, although all self service including tea & coffee. The hotel was very busy with a couple of bus loads of tourists. Definitely be back again.

A wonderful experience. We stayed for two nights in huge rooms with superior bathrooms, comfy beds and little extras that made the stay even better - bottled water, biscuits on the tea/coffee tray, chocolates etc. John welcomed us and Charles met us later and was kind enough to drive (and collect us!) to a nearby pub for dinner. Breakfast was superb - white linen tablecloths at breakfast, what a treat - after fruit juice, great fruit selection, yogurt and cereal, pots of tea, etc Charles delivered hot plates full of beautifully cooked Ulster fry. On the second night, we ordered in an Indian takeaway from a nearby restaurant. Charles arranged a table in the conservatory where we could eat, again with linen tablecloths despite the threat of spills! As a place to stay, away from home, this cannot be beaten. Thank you all for looking after us so brilliantly.
